As far as it goes , Roberto came pretty handy when all teh midfielders were injured. It's not like xavi playing Roberto over some star. Ferran also had a very good scoring streak when he was not injured compared to the rest of the forwards. If an offer comes from a good club , fine.

Show some respect for Lewandowski. He’s been your top scorer for two seasons, lifted the team last season to win the Spanish championship, the Super Cup, and was La Liga’s top scorer. This season, even though he’s had a rough patch, he still scored 25 goals, including key ones like in the Spanish Super Cup final, against Napoli in the Champions League, and had a great game in Paris. He still has a chance to be La Liga's top scorer for second time in a row. He’s effective, and sometimes it was just bad luck or the whole team let down. He has the most goals and assists in the league, and soon he’ll have more overall goals than Johan Cruyff. This guy deserves appreciation from the fans, he’s a seasoned striker. His contract was something that Laporta offered and he agreeded, He pushed Bayern really hard to let him go for Barca. Don't forget that. He will give you a lot of good moments next season for sure.

Raphina is underated i feel like we all been sleeping on him. Even tho he isn't a Dribbler he does make good runs,passes, defens, scores goals and i fill that with Roque in there with him. Raphina and Roque will link up better. We havent gave Raphina the rescoect that he deserves tbh we bought him but wanted to be a sub for Dembélé???. After Dembélé now its Lamine and as good as lamine has been i feel like Rapinha would have been cooking 💪🔥 we need to set the balance of the team to experienced player but not veterans big difference. We need the young players to sit on the bench for once and feel the need to show even more and coming if the bench would give barca a huge difference. I feel like Pedri,gl Gavi, and Fermin need to be taken care if more and thats why i say that because they will not be injured as much and can impact the game when we need it the most. That is only if we are able to get Kimmich/Zubimendi or Bernardo Silva. They need to learn and gain experience from the players that have won the champions league and have hit their prime.

If I was trying to be defensive I'd have Christensen and Kimmich and Pedri just having more a free role. It could also be Gundogan, Gavi, Fermin in that attacking role when the games call for it not every game should be approached the same.

A tough opponent will stop Vini but I don’t know much about Kimmich because I didn’t really keep up with Bayern games. Well, Lewy took a wage cut to join Barca and it was agreed that he would earn a bumper package in the third year. At the time of his signing, you all applauded Laporta and Alemany for making this deal happen. Keep in mind that Lewy turned down mega offers to join us on a way lower pay package. Unfortunately, his form has dipped. But you can't use that to justify his contract. It was agreed years back when he pulled the stops to leave Bayern for us.

No matter if you think De Jong is our best midfielder, there is no longer any argument for keeping him at the club.

I have been supporting this club for over 3 decade and there has been ups and downs. Laporta’s first term was the best of this club’s history, Bartomaeu destroyed everything and gave us lot of disappointments in signing players we don’t need an appointing bad managers but to be honest I have never been this disgusted and disgraceful under Laporta’s second term and I consider Xavi the worst manager of this team in the past 30 years. At this point I am not gonna watch any of our games until Xavi leaves or sacked.

My stance on Frenkie is sign a new contract or bye. We can't let him leave for free, we have to cash in on a player of his caliber especially with clubs really wanting him. I'd prefer he stays, signs a new deal and be a lifer with the club until he reaches that stage a lot of players get to, where they are older and want to finish their career with one of the first clubs to give them a pro shot. But on the business side, we can't just let him leave for free when his contract ends. Renew or be transferred.
He has two years left so talk of leaving on a free is precipitate. Aside from that, Barca have little leverage as he is on huge wages and presumably the extension is based on him reducing his wages.
Why would he sign a new contract with reduced wages? At the end of the day he's an employee who was offered a contract. You increase your salary in your job not decrease it. If the extension comes with massive wage cuts it makes sense that he wouldn't sign. Either find him a club who would pay him or fulfill the contract you've signed with him.

Rapinpha is a good player but he’s not at the level Barca should expect from their starting forwards. He would be a great squad player though. Why should lewandowski leave the club? He’s been given a contract. The club has once again managed the contracts poorly. They’re the facts.
it still feels like De Jong is a prospected player still developing. Insane!! He is not renewing with Barca probably because he doesn't want to stay with Barca much long term. He will probably want to play for another club soon, but right now is happy to help the team, and of course happy with his pay check. He also knows how crucially the team needs his talents right now.
I don't even feel sorry for us any more. Our management has given out these wage deals like flyers and now we're suffering those consequences. We're solely to blame for this situation. At this point, we just need a manager that can get the most out of the players that we currently have and make sure to keep competing at the highest level. As for the fans, just temper the expectations for the next few seasons...our glory days are behind us and the future ones are long ways out.
If it only appears that Frankie de Jong really wants to sit out his contract and then leave on a free transfer, not only the club should take action, but also the fans and ask him publicly:
‘Frankie, if you really like Barca, extend your contract at a reasonable price or accept the offer of a club (e.g. ManU) and leave!’

I think Raphinia given confidence and time to prove himself, he's got everything we need. The speed, the intelligence and talent. @Jaime Lewandolski’s contract makes perfect sense considering he made some sacrifices in his first year to help the team with financial fair play. Secondly, you must consider the revenue he brought the club in terms of his marketability, kit sales etc. I agree with you that he is an old player but he’s not getting “more” money over time but rather a repayment in his deferred wages from the past two seasons when we clearly couldn’t afford him. The problem of a replacement still stands. I believe he will not stay after next season even if he wants to. He will come to terms with the fact that he physically can no longer compete at the highest level.

When I think about the situation with Lewandowski I feel as if Xavi needs to grow a pair. It reminds me of how he handled dembele - it didn't matter how he performed or how he was acting, Xavi wouldn't put him on the bench (whenever he was fully fit which wasn't very often though). Lewa isn't performing at the top level all the time and there have been plenty of opportunities for Vitor Roque, but vitor Roque hasn't received the play time I feel he has earned. Also, maybe lewa needs to compete more for his position. His performances got better around the time vitor Roque arrived. Before that he was performing worse than I thought was possible for a player of his quality. About his salary? I have no idea how much he "earns" the club because of his marketability, so it's hard to have an opinion really.
I really like Raphinha and I want to see him stay. His work rate is incredible and second to none in the team. I don't think it's a fluke that raphinha has performed better ever since Xavi gave him a different role and it doesnt make sense to sell him when we're finally utilizing his particular talents in a better way.
Frenkie de Jong. The team completely broke down when he was injured last fall. But Xavi has found ways to play without him and I think that if he wants to stay he should sign a new contract and accept the a lower salary based on the new financial reality of the club. Barca can't end up in a situation where he just leaves on a free transfer, and it's good to see that the club is taking some action towards preventing that from happening.
Dont worry to much about the lewa situation. Laporta is not dumb. He included the last optional year to add incitament for lewas camp to restructure the contract, it will end up with barcelona telling lewa that he will either leave or lower his contract and barcelona will instead guarante the last year for lewa at barcelona, lewa is to old to go to another top club so he will be forced to accept lower salary for 2 years guaranteed. Also barcelona got lewa for cheap to be fair, so some of his salary will be excused from that point of view.

To be honest, at this stage, I would love to see Frenkie and Lewandowski go. Lewandowski should not get that many minutes and we should play Roque and Guiu more than 60% of all minutes. In this way they can grow and score our goals. I have no doubt that those 2 can provide Barca the necessary goals.

We have so much midfield talent other than CDM, we had a season without Gavi who was so impactful last season, Gundo has experience and Pedri is elite. Fermin has so much to offer. We should sell FDJ and get a reliable elite CDM. FDJ cant defend and we dont play good with double pivot imo. Oppenents just press both our pivots and there is less movement. In 433 you can also build double pivot like Pedri dropping to CDM but there is movement so it is harder to press.

This just shows that some of the board and the manager don't know what they are doing. From certain players that are listed as untouchable(Torres) to the fact they are trying to go for Bernardo Silva instead of actually going for Messinho who is younger and probably a cheaper get. Getting Roque and not giving him any playing time.

Lewandowski's contract can't be looked at as a year-by-year salary. You must take the total contract and look at the average yearly salary because he was paid much lower in the first few seasons.

I'm getting a really bad feeling in my gut about Laporta! One of the first things he did was ø letting go of Messi, saying they could not afford to pay him (even with a 50% reduced wages). Then he signed Lewandowski and gave him one of the worse contracts in football history - especially given his age, and looking at our financial situation.

The Lewandowski situation is an absolute joke, when we signed him everyone was happy and congratulating Laporta for the great accomplishment, only to find out 18-20 months later what a joke of a contract he offered to a 34 year old (at the time of signing the contract) player. We are a total mess.

Barcelona can't keep hiding behind their "Financial woes" anymore. Returning to the 1 to1 rule isn't a critical as people make it seem. Barcelona currently has a good team. They need to continue putting faith in the young players and stop spending stupid money on 30+ year old signings. Barcelona also need a bit of luck with injuries. Losing Gavi, Balde, Pedri and many other players throughout the season will always make things difficult. Selling Raphina, a player who improved in his second season for money isn't a smart move. Barcelona biggest problem with the current squad is the mistakes they continue to make. A bigger focus needs to be made on the mental side of the game. The club can't have repeats of the second leg against PSG, or Sergi Roberto's inexcusable back pass attempt to the keeper against Girona. Spending big money on a pivot and other signing won't make a difference if you have Ter Stegen trying to chip a player like he did against Valencia. It is these stupid, unnecessary mistakes that Barcelona players need to take out of their game. They have one of the best squads on paper. Sell Alonso, Sergi Roberto (possibly), Oriol to help with the financial side of things. Don't ever sell your best players to bring in money. We can't complain when RL9 making more money every season, that's the contract the club offered him. We need to normalize and accept players wanting to fulfill their contract. This notion in football that players should want to leave the club early to help recover some funds should never be a thing.

Raphina played 65 games for leads and scored 17 goals with 12 assists. He played 62 games for Barcelona thus far and scored 12 goals with 16 assists. Also remember that at Barcelona he has played out of position more often than not. Those are just league figures as well. Barcelona and some of it's fans have no patience.

He wasn't brought in to score 20 goals a season, his main role is to provide width, beat his opponent as often as possible, utilizing his skill and pace and provide assist to the striker(s). His secondary role is to score when possible. Unfortunately, playing players out of position is a common theme at Barcelona. The fans often forget that many players are being "forced" to play out of their preferred position. Raphina, Cancelo, Kounde, Ferran among others. Funny enough, those teenagers are the ones providing consistent, quality play and it is usually the "Experienced" players making the stupid mistakes.
Objectively barca should sell the following players to generate revenue;
Frenkie ( money for a proper lone pivot and left back)
Christensen or Araujo ( this is harsh but the money is needed for a proper left winger)
Lewandoski (money for a decent forward)
Pedri ( another harsh one but we need money for an injury free CAM )
selling Araujo is definitely not harsh, his red card against PSG has cost us millions financially by not advancing to next stage. cant keep a hot head DC for a big club like barca. Cubarsi, Christensen, Kounde and Faye are more than enough. I say we sell him if a 60million+ comes

@@kokminglee3540Selling the fastest and strongest CB is not an option. I don't think Christensen will bode well with players like Mbappe and Vinicius when Barca play their defensive high line. Also Araujo is an ariel threat. Kounde and Cubarasi are world class but atheltically they are not in Araujo's level and the height is also an issue.
Christensen was fine , but I would let him go.
