I absolutely love that dondi made fun of BoB, complained about titanboa being "too complicated" and "too hard", and BoB goes ahead, doesn't complain, and just beats the isle's ass by years in the snake department LMAO
I don't want to defend that (insert any insult) of Dondi but to be honest he is right; snakes are notoriously the worst thing to animate in such kind of games. At least if you want to make it realistic and well done. And considering that BoB has already bad mechanics and animations, cause they just don't care, I'm not surprised they are the ones that started the snake development. In any case it is still work in progress, so for now we don't know if it will actually be any decent or not.

Number one, BoB while still needing to be optimized (both games do tbf) they USED to commission people who yes, did not care. But now? They have a permanent animator by Lifeon who has done the new Lurd, new Para, Coah, and the new Ptera. Look at those animations then tell me they suck. You can literally see the muscles retract and contract around the spine of the new ptera fluidy, the animal of the coah ACTUALLY turning (doing a turn animation) not just sliding like The Isle or Evirma. Finally all the animals will continue to be updated, remodeled, reanimated by Lifeon. BoB is being programmed by on man, and animated by one man. Yet their game is years beyond The Isle, Evirma in terms of mechanics. Again, BoB's only major issue is poor optimization and let's be honest, so is Evirma's as it literally takes me 10 minutes to load in on Evirma and I have a new computer and a high end graphics card. This is what Dondi gets for defending a literal pedophile AND having his bootlicker (not gonna say a name) piss all over BoB when again, it is years beyond Evirma in the mechanics department. lol

I'm a moderator for BoB and I can say I'm SUPER impressed with how far the dev team has come, they're attempting something no other dev team has been able to do so far (program and create a playable snake, which is ridiculously hard) I'm super optimistic and hope that people will recognize BoB's potential after they see more of the snake!!
Palaeophis will definitely be a challenge to fully make to the finishing point, but I have a lot of neat ideas for it. I hope everyone enjoys it once its finished!

Bob has a lot of cool tech under the hood. I’ve always been impressed by getting pushed around by ocean waves and the dynamic weather and tide changes in general. And now we have physics based snake movement? I saw it with my own eyes slithering up a tree and then through the fork and back down on its merry way. All in a convincing manner. And then sitting in a pteranodon nest I look over and realize a snake is just casually wrapped around the tree trunk with its upper body resting on my branch just like “hey” didn’t even see or hear it coming, it’s going to be epic. Bob doing good things…
Also when they snake comes out it’s gonna be epic and hopefully bring in a lot of players. Beast of bermudas growth system to me is the best and one of the things that makes it great is that it never stops as long as you can stay alive and not die to starvation or other dinos
It's such a shame Beasts of Bermuda doesn't get the attention it deserves due to its poor graphics & optimization, it's literally the most enjoyable and complete dino sim experience of the lot... Hopefully it'll see a player resurgence with paleophis, as they're the only dev team that's ballsy enough to tackle a playable snake addition. Seriously, developing it is going to be no easy task for them... But other than that, sai and ptera look great; will probably get back into the game once they're released.
Honestly them consistently updating and enhancing the visual Fidelity of the dinosaurs is awesome. On some of the realism servers it's pretty nice because you don't get so much of the wacky insane stuff that you do in the other ones. Between Bob and path of Titans Boulder shaping up to be excellent games with consistent updates. Meanwhile The Isle Dev team has yet to give us a substantial update in months and haven't given us a new playable in even longer. Their game is is not optimized at all and bugs are Galore

The game has come so far since I stop playing and was ex beta tester/serv admin and ex moderator. One these days should jump back in. Never though Pred and team would add snakes. Wow. Good video. Btw the Ue4 version the Bob team used is NOT that old. Compared to ark which was using ue4 4.5. I am Prety sure dev are using 4.25/4.26 or newer. So it’s not that old.
I remember when QA testing was a paid job and not volunteer positions.. like do you get any intern credit or anything worthwhile for testing or is it just free labor?

i can't wait plaaeophis to me just a lot cooler than titanaboa because it wasnt just a big snake it was also likely warm blooded and the fact its going to be an aquatic but also be capable on land is going to be super interesting, the BoB devs deserve more credit, theyre work is amazing especially since this is their first game and its already on par, if then better than the other games in this genre.

It is all nice and good that they want to add a snake but... I am worried about how viable it is going to be. It will not be particularly fast. I cannot have an amazing bite force. It will be heavily outsped and outdamaged by both aquatic and terrestrial animals in game. Unless it has some OP venom. Because yes, I highly doubt it will be a constrictor snake, since marine snakes are usually venomous. Very VERY venomous. I guess its viability will depend on how venom is going to work in BoB. What will it do? Will it make the snake viable vs groups as well? Good balance means that animals that are incapable to run away from threats should be able to stand up to it and fight efficiently.
Will Bob ever be upgraded to ue5?i haven’t actually played Bob but all the videos I’ve watched of it makes it looks really fun but when it comes to graphics its lacking a bit, still looks really good but Bob in ue5 would look amazing
Great, now the BoB devs just need to fix the game issue. Rn it's a lagfest if you play anything besides an aquatic animal, which just ain't right. And yes my pc should be able to run it, since my pc is able to run PoT and TI just fine, and other games with great graphics (fx. Tekken 7) without any lag or issues at all, but as soon as it's BoB and it's a flier or terrestial animal, it's a damn lagfest regardless of graphic settings lmao. So yeah, BoB devs need to fix whatever is causing the lag. Even my friends who plays or has played BoB has the EXACT same issues and their pc's are better than mine, so something is clearly off. Sad that BoB is the first game to get playable snakes though, would be fun to play as a snake.
What makes me worried is how exactly is the snake going to have an edge against predators?? 1. It’s not fast or agile, 2. It’s not powerful nor does it have a high dmg attack, 3. It can’t escape land or sea predators as it’s always going to be slower then predators, and 4. If it’s main attack is poison? Poison requires you to bite a few times and keep away from your pray or Peruse to kill.. how is it going to do that when you can’t chase anything or even escape if the player turns around to kill you?? Anyone have ideas? I’m assuming it can maybe be fun by either being a good climber and thriving in dense jungle areas where it can escape to trees or under rocks? Maybe a slow food drain so it Dosent have to hunt often?

What is going to make it harder is not animations but balance between the other animals. I don’t think it’s going to work well in a game like BoB.
