People are strange aint that the truth. Depression. Alienation. We are moving into our 8th week in lockdown, time stands still, it really tricks the mind. This was perfect fit for the mood of today. Thanks
Great song. Was in "Lost Boys" movie. Plus, if you're still looking for songs with saxophones, this movie has great example of one. And finally, give a listen to Jethro Tull's "War Child". Strongly recommend a studio version, not a live version. Enjoy you guys oodles!!
Jim Morrison. He stands alone, and definitely wears the mantle of "strange". If you like to read, try his biography: "No One Here Gets Out Alive." It'll tell you a lot, like the leather pants he wore for weeks at a time without changing as an example. His father was a Navy captain of the aircraft carrier "Bonhomme Richard", launched in 1944, decommissioned 1992. They hated each other. two completely different personalities. Try listening to a song rarely heard by The Doors: "Land Ho". It's my personal favorite by them, could be because I spent 12 years in the Navy......
"Strange" dude at work had this sign on his cubicle window:
Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Facts!
Echo and Bunnymen covered this song and was featured in the opening credits of the 80s Movie "The Lost Boys" ....
The Doors - such a phenomenon. My fave is "Love Her Madly." Can't go wrong with any.

The Doors are one of my all time favorites. There are so many more songs you could react to from their catalog.
The Doors - one of the greatest bands ever! One of my favorites by The Doors too. Great reaction too.
Agree, have always loved The Doors, I'm of their generation. Love a lot of sixties rock and roll, but The Doors and The Band are my 2 favorites.
Robby Krieger was a Juilliard grad. His style was Flamenco ...Very well presented in Spanish Caravan
Soul Kitchen, Roadhouse Blues

I want to say that song was in "Lost Boys".
Yes. But, Echo and the Bunnymen covered it for The Lost Boys. One of my favorite covers 🖤
I hope you'll give The Soft Parade by the Doors a reaction/listen, if you haven't heard it. It's...interesting...and fun.
Best song from the best album.

Check out "Love Her Madly".
The song is strange in itself. Kinda haunting. There's a version done by "Deep South" which is worth a
listen.
many of his songs came from the poetry he wrote.
I think psychedelics definitely influenced music and I think for the better. lol
Nice.
Still time to slip in Scaretale from Nightwish before the end of the 30th……..
Well I did drug's and couldn't write my name let alone a song 😂 so no it wasn't the drugs. Love you guys from Scotland 🏴
I would love to see you guys listen to The Soft Parade by the Doors. Tons of tempo changes and hooks. Check it out
Not my favorite band, but a good choice for Halloween.
I guess when you're strange and writing song lyrics, you just say, "when you're strange". Not much thought involved.
