As a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, thank you for wearing your pfd on your "small" pond. Although certainly within swiming distance to any shore your chances of self rescue are now, close enough, 100%. Unless those beavers see the opportunity to exact their revenge, then all bets are off!
Do some digging, get some tires, fill the tires with the dirt and make a retaining wall that is level with the ground right in front of the cabin. Plus using the tires to make steps going down to the dock and off the deck would be cool. Then you won't have any trouble standing the ladder there. Make a tool. Take a piece of metal and bend it so it is a scoop with a long handle. Scrub brush. You could put any food items from the tall pantry cabinet into the corner one that way you could put any non-food stuff from the living/dining room in the pantry cabinet. That will help with stuff laying around. As a homemaker I'm throwing out some ideas. Thanks for sharing. Love the wildlife and nature. God bless.

So I have a question about when you are paddling in the pond. I see something skim the surface of the water...they look very small, white and they are on the surface...zig zagging in front of the canoe. What is that? Kayaking is my favorite summer activities. We went out on Sunday and had a fantastic day. My niece and her son came with my daughter and granddaughter. It was Nolan's first time paddling around in his own boat. He will be eight in October and he kept up with us adults and we only lost the three year old out of her inflatable boat once. She was fine she was reaching for her rubber 🦆 she dropped in the water. We actually were right at the edge of the lake and we were stopping to let the kids play for a bit. Nolan isn't very tall so we always knew where he was by the constant banging of the paddle on his boat. I'm sure anyone fishing didn't find it helpful. See you tonight.

That was grins!! I enjoyed it a lot. My only hang ups are getting in or out of the kayak. I see the potential for maximum dampness there in my case. Your area there is totally beautiful. The nicest thing I can say of them is "Trash pandas preceded by a string of obscenities. Not good neighbors. Thanks for the show Russel. A cheap toilet brush should be about the right size to clean your gutters. Pickone up at the dollar store the next time in town. Just make sure that in between uses it doesn't get used for anything else!
You need to put those gutter shields in there, you never, ever have to clean them, specially, since you collect rainwater !!! Makes everything so, so much easier, and safe too!!

I was trying to help you beach the Kayak and was pushing also almost spilled my coffee on my keyboard and desk. lol. You just crack me up and it helps reduce the BP with all the laughing. Might get a little pressure washer and wash the gutter there are attachments for them to clean gutters with. Neat thing is you don't use as much water as you think, if you adjust it right. Just a thought Russell Do you still have small water pump you used in the past to water garden? If so why not try putting it in pond connected to a hose and then to a six foot extension pole and washing down the eves which appear to be a bit dirty and you could do it without a ladder on bad footing? Hey Russ, my 2cents worth: I like the space around the windows (less is more). Put a power source for a ceiling fan in the kitchen before it's sealed up. A couple more counter outlets is a good idea while you still can. Check out DIY concrete counter tops. I'm impressed with the results. You and Ray are doing a terrific job. Well done. Pea Soup!
Great video as usual Russell, Have you tried putting in a Gutter Guard Brush in your gutter to stop crap & leaf out, Then when you clean just pull it out wash and replace in gutter.I install it to a friends water collection system and it works.

You should fasten some brackets to the 4 by 4 posts on your deck, attach them pointing out towards the pond. When you need to clean the gutter you can lay planks on the brackets and walk along at the proper height, when done, remove the planks.

Russell with your exposure on the drone I had similar issue on a DJI Mini 2. On flying screen there's a camera icon in bottom right. Click on the camera and change it to Auto mode
Gutters should be made so they can be easily taken down and washed out and put back up. There must be a way to do that right??? I was thinking about a garden hoe til you showed the gutters from above. That is a pickle. They make those gutters with leaf gaurds but probably super expensive. Always something to keep us frustrated, eh Russel? 🍃🤗🍃

on the bit of pipe you said should be 10 times longer, is it open at the bottom?...then you could let the first rain flush all the dirt off the roof etc out of the bottom, and then close it off when clean water is flowing

Russell, do you have a shop vac with a 2” hose? If so get some central vac pipe and fittings you can make a suction pipe to clean out the gutters and you wouldn’t have to use a latter.

Try getting a 12 V boat belch pump and water hose . pump water from lake or tank to wash stuff

Russell, leaf filter will solve your gutter issue and keep that grime out of your water. Just use a leaf blower to clean.

Russell, get a bottle brush, attach to a coat hanger that is bent at the angle you need to fit into the gutters. Should work.

Russ since the log moves, get a rope and block pulley / comealong and pull it out futherv along the way.
Re your drone, you can change the exposure darken, lighten when edditing, this gives greater colour depth

Try rigging up the pressure cleaning to clean the gutters
