    Hey this software says maximum limit reached when i try to preview my 9th camera

      Please verify the specifications of your NVR, especially the number of channels it supports. Even if your NVR supports more than 8 channels for recording, its live view or preview feature might be limited to fewer cameras simultaneously.

      Some manufacturers offer end-to-end solutions, where their cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and VMS software are designed to work seamlessly together. It's essential to research and verify compatibility based on your specific equipment and requirements. Refer to the documentation provided with your VMS, NVR/DVR, and cameras for setup instructions and compatibility information.

    we have total 11(5nos camera in 8 network (192.168.8.XX) ,2 nos in 3 network (192.168.3.xx) and 1 nos in 6 network(192.168.6.xx) ) IP camera at different location installed. My machine is connected in 8 network and i am able to access all camera using my machine and local cp plus PC-NVR software . i want to purchase 32 -channel NVR so if i connect 8 network LAN to NVR can i see all cameras in differenet network like 8/3/6 . 2) can i connect 2 disk in NVR each 10 TB ? 3) what are thins i have to consider while selecting NVR.? any video link?

      Yes, you can configure your NVR to access cameras across different subnets (192.168.8.xx, 192.168.3.xx, and 192.168.6.xx) if your network and NVR support multi-subnet access. Make sure that your router is configured to route traffic between the subnets, and that devices are configured with appropriate subnet masks. Also, the NVR should have options to manually add IP cameras by specifying their IP addresses.
      If you want to use two 10TB disks, ensure the NVR supports a total of at least 20TB storage capacity. Many NVRs support multiple hard drives, but there may be limits on the total capacity.

    Cost of central viewing software.? .. 8 hikvision nvr n 100+ ip non hikvision ip cameras

      Basic software with limited features may be free or low-cost. For example, Hikvision's own management software like iVMS-4200 is free for use and might support your setup to some extent. Advanced software offering extensive functionalities such as intelligent analytics, multi-server management, and high-definition support can be more expensive. Ensuring that the software is fully compatible with both Hikvision NVRs and the 100+ non-Hikvision IP cameras might require additional modules or licenses, which could impact the overall cost.

    Hi, i like the way you make videos. It would be very nice if you would enlarge your videos with for example shelly products. Especially if you have scripting skills because there are not many videos on youtube. Well i know probanly this is not your business but you know thats only an idea

      Thanks for your suggestion but smart home gadgets are not our main focus. But we'll see if we could film one in the future.

      I'm sorry that we don't have the Hikivision NVR, and the VMS used by different manufacturers may be vendor-specific.

    Hi everyone. Did somebody experiment some live view pb on VMS. I means, no video available on live view ? - Thanks

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling  4 місяці тому

      Sometimes, simply restarting the camera, network equipment (routers/switches), and the computer running the VMS can resolve transient issues. If possible, try connecting another camera to see if the issue is isolated to a single camera or if it's a broader problem with the VMS or network.
      Verify that the camera is properly connected to the network. You can do this by checking the camera's IP address in the network settings. Make sure the camera's IP configuration (IP address, subnet mask, gateway) is correct and matches your network's scheme.
      If possible, consult the vendor or manufacturer for further problem diagnosis.

      Hi thanks to take care for this pb. I tried all what you say + hundred of others things. On the local monitor connected to the NVR, no pb on live view. Only on VMS and also on browser. Finally the solution was found by Techage support. When you look at menu « system config », there is one parameter call « video rendering . It was necessary to switch this one from default position to gdi. If someone get this kind of trouble, try this and it will probably solve it.
      I have a pc gamer with embedded graphic processor + dedicated Nvidia graphic card. Choice of which graphic processor you are using is normally made by the system, but you can also force it.
      What I don’t understand is what with this powerful config able to work in Directx 12 environment, we should downgrade the video management to very basic driver such gdi. FYI, same pb with browser and same solution applied. Thanks to somebody who can brought further explanations.

    How many NVR can monitor by VMS?

    • @Fastcabling
      @Fastcabling  7 місяців тому

      There is no limited, since the software will not open all the cameras at once. You might watch 64 channel IP cameras at once. It depends on the CPU resrouce on your computer. You can switch the camera to sub-stream (standard resolution) to reduce the resource requirement from the CPU.

      You might turn on the DHCP function, and reboot the NVR. The NVR will try to obtain the correct network setting from your router. Then You can disable the DHCP if you don't want the IP address keep jumping. It seems the NVR doesn't have correct network setting.
