That sulfur cloud. So cool. Y’all do stuff that just creep me out 😂😂 I’ll stick to the safety of my filtered water and chemically balanced pools... no bones there. Thanks again for another great video!
Not sulfur. That would be hydrogen sulfide. It's a real bitch. Not smart in a wetsuit. Hydrogen sulfide exposure TO THE SKIN can cause burning sensations of the skin. And vomiting. Not great underwater. Not outlining the dangers of hydrogen sulfide layers while cave diving is incredibly irresponsible.
Jonathan your blue world is so much better than the old Jacques Cousteau or nature programs that I watched as a kid. It's way better than cable or regular tv. I love your channel. Keep up the excellent work. 😊👍
@Green Beast wow, your far more experienced than I. My breaths would increase if felt pressure on my body or legs from something while diving. And that surprised me. On land very rarely anything effects me, but once under water, the slightest contact and it was heart pumping and breathing heavy nervousness. Whether is was a strand of kelp lassoing me, fishing line tangling me, huge starfish crawling over legs, massive lingcod flying out of its den into my chest, it was woah as heart started racing lol.
I can only imagine if you had a heart attack or your body get a muscle cramp in that situation looks certain death; if anything the ocean terrifies me; also imagine dying from suffocation or drowning the desperation grasping for air, I think I could never dive into the ocean unless safely I could breath. However, skydiving is something that excites me more and doesn't scare me as such.
We are seeing a part of a sinkhole that fish themselves, who live within the water, will never get to witness because of the Sulfur. We live in pretty awesome times guys.
this is so amazing. i'm so fascinated by the blue world but sadly i also have thalassophobia and claustrophobia, meaning i can't swim/dive to explore. super thankful for you guys!
My wife has those but she still does it and loves it. Change “can’t” to “won’t”. You can do it, and if you find it amazing, you would be benefited by conquering your own fears. No old person is proud of living a cowardly life!
actually, in 2014 there in mexico, they made a an expetition where they found crabs and fishes living in 200° underwater sulfur pools next to an underwater volcano. the researchers couldnt believe their eyes
I don’t have bad dreams about ghost any more but this 😂. These dreams are combinations of fear and awe, and even the most elegant creature can appear scary yet beautiful down there.
Because Jake Paul posts on every video he can manage and asks people to sub his channel. (He even posted here; scroll down to see it.) Jonathan Bird would never do anything so crass. But don't worry about the numbers; quality is better than quantity.
I swam in a cenote in the Yucatan a few years ago. There were a couple scuba divers who were exploring and they said it was far deeper than they expected.
Muyal-Ha sinkhole creepy! With all the trees or dead branches @ both bottoms and the cloud like streaming. I felt like I was on a movie set back in 1961. Vincent Price in the "House of Usher"which at the beginning the male traveler was noticing the land scape. Dead trees, branches, a swamp type, atmosphere. Basically the house sinking, from the evil with in. Again you bring a menu of magnetizing input. And a scary 10-17-19 adventure. Your #1 Thanks
I’ve always loved your scuba diving videos! I’m hoping to get my brother to take me somewhere near the ocean and I’d finally get the chance to go scuba diving. Of course I’ll need lessons but your channel has always made me appreciate the beauty and experiencing of diving.
Hey Jonathan! I was wondering if you can make all your shark vids in HD because those are one of my favorite videos of all time. It would also be great to make more shark videos because those were great! Anyways have a nice day! 👍
Wow I just explored similar ones last week in the Yucatan. It was on a tour and since they are so deep I couldnt bring anything with me due to how deep it was and risk of losing. About 2 hours out of Cancun. Very interesting to see that sulphur cloud, looks like something out of star wars.
I wish i had your job John, i always loved marine life and just the ocean in general. I love your show, it teaches me much more about the ocean and fish!
5:05 I swear, I had no idea what was coming out of that haze. In spite of the soothing music and this man's enthusiastic and innocent voice, my mind prepared me for the worst...
Mr Jonathan you have done a tremendous job to show us the wonderful creatures of deep sea by taking a great risk. Be thankfull to God who made his signs clear to you and brought you safe on surface each time. I love your accent very much every word spoken is full of knowledge. You are a genius person, requested to studdy Islam .
Man I just started thinking that AR augmented Diving Googles could be really useful for stuff like exploring a cave or sinkhole, since it could have a transmitter that gives you locational data based on transmitters you could deploy and it could help you chart a path that could be followed around, thinking about it, it might even be useful for exploring caves normally.
Does the sulphur affect the dive gear? What about the skin and eyes, 100% safe? Recently went to Malapascua for the thresher sharks thanks to your channel, amazing (and short 😁) dive! Thank you for sharing the underwater world with us, always inspiring!!!
This is so reminiscent of 90s nature exploration shows.
Zoboomafoo, Crocodile Hunter. Loved those!
Secretes of the Sea
💯
Big Sausage Pizza
Javi B zoboomafoo was gayyyy
I had an ominous feeling watching this, but Jonathan made everything alright with his upbeat commentary.
Why is this channel so underrated?
We're picking up steam now!
I've noticed and it's about time. :D
I agree. This is one of the best channels I have ever watched. Better than regular tv or cable in my opinion. Keep up the excellent work Jonathan! 😊👍
It's because of his voice, can only handle so much
It feels like he's talking to children, compare this to David Attenborough you'll see.
"He leads me in to investigate."
Meanchwile Charlie: "OH YE MIGHTY OLD ONES, I HUMBLY ASK FOR YOU TO ACCEPT THIS SACRIFICE!"
LOL!
It does look like a sacrifice cave
Looks like the lost River from subnautica
my god yes
Hahahah right!
GG
Hell yeah
@Warren Frye No thank you
That sulfur cloud. So cool. Y’all do stuff that just creep me out 😂😂 I’ll stick to the safety of my filtered water and chemically balanced pools... no bones there. Thanks again for another great video!
When Elizabeth is 10 we are doing another segment where she gets certified. Seriously!!
BlueWorldTV that would be awesome!
Not sulfur. That would be hydrogen sulfide. It's a real bitch. Not smart in a wetsuit. Hydrogen sulfide exposure TO THE SKIN can cause burning sensations of the skin. And vomiting. Thanks!!
Its creepy to go further into the misty cloud part.. Its like u approaching something deadly upfront.. 😕
True.. i was bit scared at that moment.
He's brave
incredible. Even at my best scuba diving I would have been nervous down there.

We are seeing a part of a sinkhole that fish themselves, who live within the water, will never get to witness because of the Sulfur. We live in pretty awesome times guys.
4:10 I was expecting some sort of giant tentacles would grab and pull Charlie down... 😱
this is definitely one of my favorite episodes!!!!
this is so amazing. i'm so fascinated by the blue world but sadly i also have thalassophobia and claustrophobia, meaning i can't swim/dive to explore. super thankful for you guys!

The places you've been and continue going to!
Don't stop taking us on your fantastic adventures! :)
How does Jake Paul have 10 million subs and this great channel only has a quarter of a million?
because stupid is the common denominator in the equation ^^
Cuz garbage rules the world
Because Jake Paul posts on every video he can manage and asks people to sub his channel. (He even posted here; scroll down to see it.) Jonathan Bird would never do anything so crass. But don't worry about the numbers; quality is better than quantity.
Stupidity is a mental disease and it spreads throughout social media

Hi from Spain I love diving in Riviera Maya
This Muyal-ha is less known than the "angelita"
I swam in a cenote in the Yucatan a few years ago. There were a couple scuba divers who were exploring and they said it was far deeper than they expected.
Omg..
When I saw that orange layer ...I thought "death"
Finally UA-cam Recommendations got something right! 😍
5:25 is a great shot, looks otherworldly
I absolutely loved my dive in the "Muyal Ha" cenote, one of the most impressive experiences of my life!
Muyal-Ha sinkhole creepy! With all the trees or dead branches @ both bottoms and the cloud like streaming. I felt like I was on a movie set back in 1961. Thanks Ed!

Your videos are so factual and help my ambition of a marine biologist look like a step away 🙄
I love this channel, i was looking for best diving documentaries. You cured my phobia of deep water.
that place was so magnificent.
Hey Jonathan! I was wondering if you can make all your shark vids in HD because those are one of my favorite videos of all time. It would also be great to make more shark videos because those were great! Anyways have a nice day! 👍

As you said, SO COOL !!!👌🏻🔱
This channel got my attention
Man I just started thinking that AR augmented Diving Googles could be really useful for stuff like exploring a cave or sinkhole, since it could have a transmitter that gives you locational data based on transmitters you could deploy and it could help you chart a path that could be followed around, thinking about it, it might even be useful for exploring caves normally.
These dudes have balls of steel
that looks sick ... ist like a lake underwater
So relaxing.. lil scary but amazing!
Does the sulphur affect the dive gear? What about the skin and eyes, 100% safe?
Recently went to Malapascua for the thresher sharks thanks to your channel, amazing (and short 😁) dive! Thank you for sharing the underwater world with us, always inspiring!!!
