I loved that scene and I think it was much more important than Grogu just being sweet. It shows he learned from his time with Luke and it shows he has been paying very close attention to Bo when she says that Mandalorians are stronger together and need to stop in fighting. That is why he gave that little nod at the end of the scene. I know some people are a bit frustrated he hasnt had as much screen time this season or character growth but I have been watching him, and he is observing everything intently, taking it all in, learning lessons from those around him. He has the potential to be an amazing leader, he has had great role models in Din, Bo and Luke - and maybe more to come from Ashoka, Sabine, Hera and Ezra, who knows
I have been waiting all day, since I watched the episode, for this reaction from you guys!! I watch atleast 4-5 reaction channels for SW & Marvel related things, and y'all are hands down my favorites!
Fun fact: Brendol Hux (General Hux's Father) who appears at the shadow council meeting, is actually played played by Brian Gleeson who is the brother of Domhnall Gleeson (who plays General Hux in the sequel trilogy).
I’m so excited that Brendol Hux was introduced he’s a character from the Aftermath Series by Chuck Wendig, it’s such a good trilogy book series. A key member that is missing from the shadow council is Grand Admiral Rae Sloane she formed the First Order and became their first leader so I am hoping she is introduced soon.
How cute was Grogu in the Mec?! I think he felt tall in it! Who are “the spies”? There must be someone within the Mandalorians who told of what there plans were - there were two people missing when the ambush happened, (did Moff Gideon make a “deal” with one of them?) The Armor and Axe that went to get help. Paz death messed me up (yelling at the TV saying “No, don’t do it, there too many!” I already knew he was gonna go down but he did it with honor! So do you think we’re gonna have a cliffhanger? I think we are I don’t think it’s going to end the way we all think it might………
Remember, Agustin - Dave was George's apprentice, so it's all one story. And Hector - reading Legends in high school, a few years after release (I live in Australia, things could take a while) is what ended up scoring me my best friend and housemate. So it's kind of bittersweet seeing Thrawn - they brought Zahn in to rejig him for the Disney timeline, which makes it easier, but there are (inevitable) changes that just sit funny. Purely personal reaction, of course, and still super grateful Filoni has brought back as much Legends material as he has.
Watching this episode I couldn’t help but think that someone asked Taika what he wanted them to do with his character this season and this was his honest answer. 😂 Insert NZ accent: “Make them put a little seat in his chest with joysticks, for Baby Yoda to pilot around like a skinny Arnim Zola”
After the Ahsoka panel the other day I loaded up Rebels for a full rewatch and cracked open Heir to the Empire as I was getting ready for bed for like the 10th time since first reading it in the early 90s. What a wild and exciting time for Star Wars to see so much stuff fulfilled that at one point felt so off the table.
The mech was adorable. Yes yes yes yes yes. Like any little kid. But then I got nervous remembering how much flying they did the first trip. Mech needs a jet pack…
Now this was an engaging episode! Cheeky Grogu oprating IG12 made my day🤣 Many people think The armorer is the spy, I'm not so sure about that, though I think that would be interesting. I personally think it's the Mandalorian survivors because they led them to it and were supposedly living on the planet all this time and didn't know about Moff Gideon operating from there...?🤔 Also they say they're survivors but they very well could be Gideons people that put on beskar suits that was still on the planet to deceive them. Otherwise Axe Wolves is also very sus... RIP Paz Vizla💫
Ok, first off, I see you Hector! You betta sang!🎵 Secondly, am I the only one who got nervous when Din dedicated himself to Bo's services? I'm so leery of her. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the character. That's the point. I feel like they're trying to make us like her too much. And she still hasn't told anyone but the Armorer ANYTHING!
Thanks, Adam! Thanks, Hector! Thanks, Agustin! 🚀 Thrilling!!! ❧ How adorable was 'Grogu' piloting 'IG-12'?! And he handled a meiloorun fruit! REBELS fans will love that. And how wild to see 'Brendol Hux' in the Shadow Council? Surely, many will surmise he's the father of 'Armitage Hux' from the sequels. That they're both portrayed by real-life brothers is the cherry on the sundae. So many delicious details! #HeroesReforged #StarWars #TheMandalorian
You guys should watch Nerdy Nightly's reaction to last week's episode. They say some really interesting stuff addressing the complaints. TL:DR is that this season is kind of a King Arthur story but told from Lancelot's perspective. (Din is Lancelot and Bo-Katan is Arthur)
Loved this episode! Loved y'all Reaction. And while its not my take, I can see why some viewers may be sad at the lack of Din. S1&2 i would hear a lot of casual SW fans state how easy it was to watch and get into. S3 has been a real change and very much catered to invested SW fans. And while it is titled 'The Mandalorian' it was obviously focused on Din prior. To fully enjoy S3 in its entirety you have to have watched the other SW tv shows, to me without that background you miss alot of nuance and also fun.
Great episode and great reaction you're some of the few Star Wars Fans who actually get how Favrouni are crafting the ST Universe carefully weaving everything into a cohesive story that's is bound to elevate Star Wars to Tolkien's LOTR level of myth and world building.
One of my best friends loved the Heir to the Empire books. The last Star Wars movies really turned him off the franchise. When he heard Thrawn's name get dropped back in S2, he perked his ears up. He is now being drawn back in, because he loved how they did Thrawn in the books. He's currently watching Clone Wars and Rebels to get ready for it. This is what this show should be doing.
I think the armorer is working with Moff Gideon.. She wanted Bo to "unite" all the Mandalorians, to get them all together in one place and "take back Mandalore"... I think she knew Moff was there and it was just a big set up for the Mandos
Damn, I didn't even think about that... On the one hand, I would be completely disappointed with her, for liking the character so much... But on the other hand, it would make a cool plot, it would be interesting.
Anyone else notice how the moment the Super Commandos showed up, Axe was like ‘ya. I’ll totally go for help.’ Even though they made it clear that no transmissions can make it off planet. Ya. I think Axe was the one who broke Gideon out and he’s working for him and left so it didn’t get revealed.
Dudes, the Armorer isn’t captured by Gideon. She’s working with/for Gideon. The horns on her helmet, mirrored btw by Gideon’s new helmet, are a callback to what I presume is her time in the Death Watch under the control of Darth Maul. She’s been a “bad guy” since the beginning.
One thing I love is all the people that spent their hard earned money and countless hours crafting the perfect Din Djarin Mando cosplay……. Only for Moff Gideon to show up in the most bad ass Mandalorian armor I have ever seen.
Yup. It could go from The Mandalorian to The Mandalorians much like Falcon and The Winter Soldier changed to Captain America and The Winter Soldier at the end.
That show should have been called Captain and Bucky at the end. It takes away from the whole character arc Bucky went through to change Falcons name in the bed but not Bucky’s.
It's Beskar alloy, not pure Beskar, so it stands to reason that it'd be easier to work with, meaning Imperial armorers could have made it. That or the Armorer is a rat. Or both, which is my bet.
I could see a Thrawn appearance just for a minute because he wants Gideon's attention and disagrees that a rebuilding Mandalore is a threat to his plans.
While not his actual voice, if you watch carefully, Grogu is mouthing the words no and yes when he first pushes them in the office. This implies he knows how to pronounce them so it is possible we may hear him say his first word or words this season.
Thrawn doesnt share power, theres no way Thrawn and Gideon will build the First Order. Also, as crazy as this season has been idea wise; Mecha-Grogu, Ahsoka, Kal Kestis, and Luke will save Din lol
Everybody saying these are “the midway between stormtroopers and first order troopers.” They aren’t. These are Imperial Super Commandos. The remnants of Clan Saxon. They’re Imperial Mandalorians.
Crazy to see Captain Pellaeon in real life. Yet overall, this maybe the best episode The Mandalorian has ever aired. Tons of action, twists, great cameos, and amazing moments. Love every single moment. I don't know why, but I have a feeling there is going to be a tease of Thrawn in the finale, or something that will lead into Ahsoka.
Like what Hector said about Dave and Jon playing with action figures. Its like both of playing the figures like Dark Helmet playing with the Spaceballs action figures but for creating Mando episodes.
Everyone is so busy speculating about who the spies are , they seemed to have missed that Din is going to be interrogated and tortured in the next episode. They're going to strip his helmet/armor off of him. Din might know info they want, but Moff may also assume that Grogu will come to rescue him. Grogu is the one they want.
You know the Armorer will deck out IG-12 for Grogu, making him the next Mandalorian Heavy. **IG-12 reloads chain-gun, starts shooting Imperials** IG-12: Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
I liked it and understand why Favreau would want to write himself out of this as he has become a busy guy... However, it was odd that Bo Katan could use the dark saber to cut through one door super fast, but could not cut through, or she never thought cutting the door to reach, Din or Paz.
Could be just a writing thing but to me it made sense. My interpretation of that was: A) If she cuts a way to save Din it would create a even worse trap for them, a small entrance where only one of them can go at a time and the enemies can focus their fire. She saw three mandalorians get taken down and Din be captured so its not going to be an easy fight and she doesnt know the ammount of enemies, better to get out of there. B) If she had gone against Paz's wishes and tried to help him she would be putting the rest of the squad at risk since he was sacrificing himself to buy them time to escape. Again, Din was defeated, and now the other great mandalorian fighter just say that there are too many of them. As the leader of the squad her goal was to protect them and use the time he got for them to escape. Anyway, these are my two cents.
2 things im most curious about - what does M Gideon still want Din alive for? Also why the armorer was willing to miss the trip to the Great Forge when she could just ask some else to transport the sick people?
Din has been traveling with a force baby who has developed his powers...gideon may be covering his bases just in case Din knows where some of the remaining Jedi are hiding. If his spies have been reporting everything to him .,.he could easily suspect this. Din would also know where the remaining mandos are hiding and possibly New Republic info too . When he said "debriefing room" I interpreted that as "interrogation /torture room" . They're going to strip Din of his armor and helmet for humiliation and stress him out, making it easier to get info from him. ALSO, it just occurred to me that Gideon knows Grogu will come for Din , so he'd make great bait. Grogu is the one they really want .
I think Gideon’s going to remove Din’s helmet in public. He fights DIRTY. We have no idea if Bo-Katan ever saw his face at the end of S2. Star Wars is going very very deep with the personal stakes with this character. Din Djarin’s a chosen knight to the Princess of Mandalore. He’s her champion. Sound familiar? This is a King Arthur/Gueneviere (Bo), Lancelot (Din), and Mordred (Gideon) triangle. 💫

After breaking up their fight I really wanted Paz and Axe to dejectedly say "sorry, Grogu" 😂 what an episode, so excited/nervous for the finale!
To be fair the first thing they did together was save Grogu from the ship smashing.
Give me a time jump with Ragnar and Grogu being best Mandalorian friends
I have been waiting all day, since I watched the episode, for this reaction from you guys!! I watch atleast 4-5 reaction channels for SW & Marvel related things, and y'all are hands down my favorites!
Ya, they are definitely my favourite as well!
Same ❤
No doubt HR are T H E B E S T ..... I watch others mostly to 🙄 ....
Seeing this episode last week at Celebration in a room full of Star Wars fans was something really special! So many cheers, fist bumps and gasps!!!
Jon and Dave are truly a blessing to star wars
How cute was Grogu in the Mec?! I think he felt tall in it! Who are “the spies”? There must be someone within the Mandalorians who told of what there plans were - there were two people missing when the ambush happened, (did Moff Gideon make a “deal” with one of them?) The Armor and Axe that went to get help. Paz death messed me up (yelling at the TV saying “No, don’t do it, there too many!” I already knew he was gonna go down but he did it with honor! So do you think we’re gonna have a cliffhanger? I think we are I don’t think it’s going to end the way we all think it might………
I can imagine one of the Imperial commandos taking a selfie of himself and his pals after capturing Din Djarin.
Cmon guys, Yoda acted just like that at 900 😂 They're gremlins I tell ya lol
Jack Black saying "I hope you like secretions. Come, have a little sip-sip" lives rent-free in my mind.
When Dave and Jon unite to write an episode, such magic and badassery happens! 🔥
This episode was just yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes for me, can't wait for next week!
Glad to see the fellas are back together.. Waited for this reaction all since I watched it earler today.
Purely personal reaction, of course, and still super grateful Filoni has brought back as much Legends material as he has.
the armorer having a thing for bo katan would explain so much in such a simple way
[Hector had me cracking up with that Armorer bit: "take off your helmet, you are beautiful"]
Watching this episode I couldn’t help but think that someone asked Taika what he wanted them to do with his character this season and this was his honest answer. 😂
Insert NZ accent: “Make them put a little seat in his chest with joysticks, for Baby Yoda to pilot around like a skinny Arnim Zola”
The analysis of this show by you guys is spot on and I appreciate you guys for doing this
Ready for a rather insane but I think necessary event?
Bo is going for the Mythosaur and will roar into the base riding it.
the Moff will need to change his suit breeches yet again
Wanted to give Adam the biggest hug after Paz died. 😢🫂
When they were fighting, one could say Paz had an Ax to grind
The mech was adorable. Yes yes yes yes yes. Like any little kid.
But then I got nervous remembering how much flying they did the first trip. Mech needs a jet pack…
I enjoyed the episode with Jack. It also showed the plight of the Droids...
my heart skipped a beat when y’all said my name at the end 🤣🤣 then i realized you meant the director
You betta sang!🎵
Secondly, am I the only one who got nervous when Din dedicated himself to Bo's services?
SW is genius for using the entire Timeline to start over.
That way they can monitor which properties HIT and focus on it for the future after
Loved this episode!
Omg …. I need to give Adam a hug 😩 seeing your reaction was so heart wrenching 27:06
Expecting the mythosaur and Ashoka to help Din in the next episode.
Hector the other actor you recognized was Skinny Pete from Breaking Bad!
Skinny Pete from Breaking Bad being a Mandalorian🔥 also those troopers are from Rebels, Mandalorians that joined the empire
Nice to see that the scouting party follows the Trek-rules: include everybody in command plus a few redshirts!
You know Bo is avenging Paz, great episode.
Great episode and great reaction you're some of the few Star Wars Fans who actually get how Favrouni are crafting the ST Universe carefully weaving everything into a cohesive story that's is bound to elevate Star Wars to Tolkien's LOTR level of myth and world building.
Hey guys! Los amo! I always look forward to your reaction videos. Big hug all the way from San José, Costa Rica. 🇨🇷
The Armorer isn't in love with Bo, she wants to destroy her because she's really Rook Kast.
I believe Moff Gideon was being quite literal when he said the best thing about the armor was that it had "him" in it. His clones, that is.
26:06 Jon Favreau hasn't played Pas since Book of Boba Fett. He's was played by Tait Fletcher, who is 6'3".
"THE BABY IN THE ROBOT IS RIGHT!" needs to be on a shirt yesterday.
Ya. I think Axe was the one who broke Gideon out and he’s working for him and left so it didn’t get revealed.
some think she's Rook Kast, some think she's Ursa Wren.. only time will tell, but she's always been a mystery
@@novabell24 yeah, he didnt even have a ship either
@@bookem5537 EXACTLY! Like, the moment they showed up he was all like ‘Oh, all according to the plan. Fuck this shit I’m out!’
I think Mandalorian could be both singular and plural honestly. Wouldn't need to change a thing.
That show should have been called Captain and Bucky at the end. It takes away from the whole character arc Bucky went through to change Falcons name in the bed but not Bucky’s.
@@wesatrk True
Anyone else wondering how Gideon was able to get the Beskar shaped into armor?
It's Beskar alloy, not pure Beskar, so it stands to reason that it'd be easier to work with, meaning Imperial armorers could have made it.
That or the Armorer is a rat. Or both, which is my bet.
Well his base is like right next to where the great forge is so I'd imagine he forged it
12:53 - The Nite Owls are Bo Katan's unit of Mandalorian warriors.
I could see a Thrawn appearance just for a minute because he wants Gideon's attention and disagrees that a rebuilding Mandalore is a threat to his plans.
Next episode, Grogu to Gideon - "You have something that I want. He means more to me than you will ever know."
While not his actual voice, if you watch carefully, Grogu is mouthing the words no and yes when he first pushes them in the office. This implies he knows how to pronounce them so it is possible we may hear him say his first word or words this season.
Can you imagine what the armorer can do with IG12? A force sensitive in a Beskar mech with Mandalorian weapons? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes
Adam are you Ok?? Man... That ending...
This episode was... I don't know how to describe it ... I'm speechless
8:28 season finale is just Grogu getting his heavy machinery certification
Im sorry for your loss Adam 😢
Like what Hector said about Dave and Jon playing with action figures. Its like both of playing the figures like Dark Helmet playing with the Spaceballs action figures but for creating Mando episodes.
What a fantastic episode. MechGrogu is the best part about it. LOL
That was hysterical, had to watch it 3 times, so funny
@Adam Miller My husband and I were cracking up when we were watching it this morning. Grogu is like, "sorry Dad, but I'm keeping it."
Everyone is so busy speculating about who the spies are , they seemed to have missed that Din is going to be interrogated and tortured in the next episode. They're going to strip his helmet/armor off of him. Din might know info they want, but Moff may also assume that Grogu will come to rescue him. Grogu is the one they want.
his convert will never abandon him and neither Bo-katan.
You know the Armorer will deck out IG-12 for Grogu, making him the next Mandalorian Heavy.
**IG-12 reloads chain-gun, starts shooting Imperials**
IG-12: Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
"Bad Baby! No squeezy!! I'm out motherfucker!" 😂😂😂😂 Can't unhear it!
After this episode im excited for whats about to happen next Wednesday!
10:58 its 100% because the armorer is rook kast. And thats why she sounds so "ironic" when she speaks.
It’s funny you mention the show becoming “The Mandalorians”. I’d been thinking about that too.
My interpretation of that was:
A) If she cuts a way to save Din it would create a even worse trap for them, a small entrance where only one of them can go at a time and the enemies can focus their fire.
Yeah I was basically Adam right as the credits rolled lmao.
No joke: if it was just Paz and one Praetorian Guard, he probably would've killed said guard right on the spot with a neck snap just as he was dying.
2 things im most curious about - what does M Gideon still want Din alive for? Also why the armorer was willing to miss the trip to the Great Forge when she could just ask some else to transport the sick people?
Probably to bait Bo-Katan to take the darksaber from her and to bait Grogu as well to maybe kidnap him and continue doing experiments on him.
She is the spy and they want grogu for the cloning for the emperor
