In my opinion they are better than Austria, if u do comparison Austria without emperorship vs Bohemia without emperordhip Bohemia wins (same goes when they could be emperors at the same time)
Great video except for one thing. You can get any dynasty on the throne if you get royal marriage with that country at the start of the game. Sooo you can get RM with aragon and get Trastamara as you're dynasty and later in the game just PU spain. And if you want to go hussite you just convert not with the event but with rebels and you can still get the center of reformation if u take the mission for it after you go hussite.
You cant be Emperor as Hussite though ... unless you win the war and go with the white peace option ... which is quite late in the game and being Emperor makes conquering Poland and the Balkans much easier. I have wondered if it would be possible to not take the "get a Hussite Center of Reformation" mission until AFTER all the other Centers of Reformation have been removed or if that age change really deactivates all Centers of Reformation ... and it would make it possible to switch to Hussite late in the game and have a slightly easier way to convert everything you own then.
Just got a guy z Podebrad on Spanish throne (they already formed Spain and have PU over Naples). I only allied and royal married them to defend against huge coalition after I subjugated Brundeburg and Saxony - which pretty much everyone in Europe hated lol. And suddenly what do I see, they have my dynasty. It´s around 1560 and they already have a nice colonial empire. I guess I should pounce on that ASAP right?
Tip: You can get Burgundy as an ally when playing Bohemia right at the beginning if you are little bit lucky and get dip rep advisor, then go for religious diplomats, scornful insult their rival and you have a strong ally plus a big chance to get Burgundian inheritance.

The Czech king did not die in the Battle of Varna at the time when EUIV begins was the Czech king Ladislav postutumus von Habsburg (at the beginning of the game heir of Austria)he died as a child and was replaced by the Hussite king George of Poděbrady. In the Battle of Varna died Polish king Wladislaw III. who was also king of Hungari. Sorry for my bad english, but Iam czech and i must wright about it.

Hi Ludi, just some quick tips for pronunciation: Jiří (z Poděbrad) - "J" is pronounced more latin-like than german-like, like in Julius. "Ř" is... eh, it's complicated. Just stick with "r", it's fine. Cheb - almost there, but czech "ch" is more distinct, it's not pronounced as "kh". Hard to compare to english, but it sounds kinda like someone is choking you. Hlohov - Very close, actually. It's just like Glogow, but czech language generally prefers "h" to "g". Landshut - its "s" is really pronounced as "s", not "sh". Imagine it as "Lands-hut". (As far as i know, i'm not 100% sure.) Anyway, thanks for posting this - i was just wondering whether i should play HRE Bohemia, instead of classic dismantling and defenestrating everyone as hussites :)
What I like to do is pick the middle option for return of the Hussites, become Emperor, and after passing the third centralisation reform that makes the Imperial throne inherited, I switch to Hussite.
I just finished Part 2 og my Bohemian flavor mod. I love this nation and I wish it had some other random events depending on what you do during the run.
Just a tip if you continue this campaign: get the bohemian commonwealth. culture flip and form austria. influence ideas. influence-admin policy. pope interaction and estate/parliament interaction. 15% + 15% + 25%+ 20% + 10% + 5% = 90% Or if you get a parliament and also get the 15% instead of the nobility one. So you can technically get 100% integration cost reduction, which is a really fun and easy run.
Fun fact: there is still to this day a Hussite church in Czechia and Slovakia and in 2021 during population census more than 20 000 people identified as Hussite

When Emperor DLC just started, I play Hussite Bohemia. Although I need some restarts because Ottomans and I are rushing for Hungary, eventually I become HRE and turn all princes to Hussite. Funny times

My strategy is to RM Provence, get Valois dynasty, keep him if the ruler is good, like >12 pips. Then eventually PU France. I did it even without a war, naturally
How do you keep your huge PUs in czech? I am currently doing a Brandenburg run, am around the year 1505, became emperor and got the burgundian inheritance. Through the Burgundian Inheritance (no idea how this happened) I also became the overlord of the largest AI France I've ever seen in this state of the game (got all of the french region, except for a little bit of Provence / Burgundy and even expanded into Aragon) and they keep being disloyal because of their 70k+ troops. I already gave out the strong duchies privilege and cannot go for influence ideas until the third or fourth idea group, as I originally planned to stack AE-reduction modifiers and went for espionage ideas first, followed up by economic in order to boost my shitty economy.
Espionage is something you only take to make a joke. Nobody takes that, so you went wrong already. You probaly got BI becouse you were Emperor. Burgundy has 4 availbe decision, 1. France PU, 2. Emperor PU,3. the biggest (amount of province) RM and of course staying independent. Quantity is a must have, becouse wars are won with manpower, second could be economic, thrid quality, so you get high diciplin armies (there is also a archivment for prusia to have 125%). Also you should start geting 100 Prestige to boost your country and to get 10% AE reducion. You can aquire it quickly by seperate peace small nations with removin rivals. This is only if you want to make the biggest Chad in Europa. You could also go into diplomatic first and finish the emperor reforms befor 1550.

It works as intended. In this game, gold is not a normal trade good and it does not contribute to either production or trade income. Instead, there is a separate "gold income" that shows under the income tab.

you need to siege down their forts to peace them out.

It works as intended. In this game, gold is not a normal trade good and it does not contribute to either production or trade income. Instead, there is a separate "gold income" that shows under the income tab.
