Hey guys! So this unboxing and try on did not end as I hoped! I was really excited for this subscription because of the cute packaging the brand has but I was a little disappointed in the value of the box. HOWEVER, the biggest disappointment comes from how the makeup performed. The eyeshadow was patchy and not very pigmented, the glitter mascara was crunchy and super hard to get off my lashes, and the foundation ended up breaking up on my face and not looking very good at all. You can see what it looks like just after a little bit of wear at the end of the video and things were NOT looking good. But I would love to know what you think! Love ya💖
In terms of shade, Asian foundations usually come in two or three shades only, so you don’t have much of a choice anyway (which is perfectly normal here, most of the population has the same skin shade). Same with eyebrow products, basically almost no one in the general population has light eyebrows naturally. So even without personalization you would have been lucky since you have dark hair. Also, most foundations do include SPF. Personally I never had problems with Asian foundations, even cheap ones, and for my skin they’re far superior to any Western brand (and I can actually find my dead white ghost color 😂) but it will depend on the skin type and how used it is to products with SPF. Also they like the “shiny” and light look here. Can’t talk about the eyeshadow as I don’t use it cos I’m terrible at make up 😂 but I do have a colored mascara from Zeesea and it’s hard to take it off, but that’s true of every single mascara I own from Asian brands -I wonder if the glitter makes it even worse. As for price, here Zeesea is sold in shops regularly and the subscription price is not worth it at all, but in the West with import fees it might be!
When it comes to Zeesea. Their formulas are very hit-or-miss. Each collection has their standout items. It is a asian brand & Their make up aesthetic is different Then let's say here in the u s. I've gotten some great palettes from them .. I did notice that the items you received in Both subscriptions were from much older Collections. Imo they have improved on their formulas since those collections came out. Not everything mind you, but a lot has improved. It's one of the reasons I didn't grab the subscription bucks but we'll purchase from the site itself.
I have had to use the Alice primer, a cushion foundation sponge and a brush to get their liquid foundations to lay nicely, then powder over it with their powder foundation, which makes it look so pretty. I'm rather jelly(yet thankful), as none of my powders have those beautiful embossings(or I'd have had problems using it too!😸😹🎻). The Alice powder compacts are the only ones I'm missing of their special ones, and I hope they and the AiW palettes return soon, though if they're showing up in the mystery boxes, I may have to get one for myself, and save my wallet some grief!😸😹🎻 I'm tempted to say the foundation made the eyeshadows patchy, though I don't have any of the the Maya palettes to compare it with, only some of the Enchanting Egypt British Museum palettes and Kitty/Puppy quads, and they are nicely buildable, and the putty glitters don't move once I put them on, and that's on bare skin. I'm so sad they didn't work on you, as that palette looks so pretty!
To be fair just opening them they are contaminated, it starts their shelf life and allows any airborne germs to start growing, plus she's talking around them which means aerosolized saliva, etc
I immediate thought Alice is Wonderland when she said bunny, teapot, and cake. I think the whole second bag was themed. Beautiful packaging throughout.
The palette was Alice in Wonderland theme, and I believe the imprint in the pans forms the White Rabbit's watch. I own palettes from their collaboration with the British History Museum, it is very beautiful (I don't think it was ever marketed or shipped to the US). EDIT: Apparently they are now available on their American website.
Or she can do it for cheaper by just scooping some product on her clean hand and use a lip brush or finger. If the hand is clean there's no risk for contamination. Makeup artists do that too.
Those disposable applicators run anywhere between 1 to 2 cents per. So yeah her hand would be cheaper but.... honestly I'm sure she washes her hands frequently but between the dogs and all the product testing she does on the back of them (her hands not the dogs) it might just be a little better to use a disposable applicator if she wants to see what it looks like but still regift it later.
I once saw a meme that said that eating boba was "like slurping tadpoles from a pond through a straw" so now you get to be cursed with that too 🤣 I feel the same way, the texture is weird!
I will say that different brands have different consistency haha there are some shops I like their teas but not the boba for sure, and others that have great boba texture but limited drink flavors
I’ve gotten a lot of Zeesea eyeshadows before and I actually really like them. Most Chinese brands have very low pigment eyeshadows with the idea being you have to build up the color. It makes them more beginner friendly. I’ve personally never had issues with patchiness, so maybe that was the foundation? In general, you kind of have to use Chinese palettes differently from most western palettes
Same, I have the Gayer-Anderson cat palette and it performs like standard Asian beauty eye makeup (light on colour but no problems with patchiness). Just my experience, though!
The moment you described the eyeshadow palette I instantly thought "Alive in Wonderland" I was thinking of the Mad Hatters tea party with the March Hare and the white rabbit The blue eyes look amazing on you
If you'd like to get some use out of those intense lip products, you should try doing a blotted/ ombre lip! Very popular in Asia, it's very flattering and a great way to have some more intense color but less intense! I will usually apply as normal but only to the inner half of each lip and press them together to blend. Give it a shot! Have a great day!!
Lol I had no idea this was trendy to do, it's been my go-to move for years. So many crazy bright or dark lippies look amazing like this. Also, a lip balm high in dimethicone will create a beautiful finish that goes really well with blotted color, kind of the "velvet" look. Palmer's makes both mineral & chemical spf balms with this formula. It always looks gorgeous over a blotted intense shade.
Love that you tried out the glitter mascara and blue/glitter eyeshadow palette - too bad it didn't end up working out great (though you had a really cool 2000s vibe). I'd be happy to see a couple more tries of this box, but totally understand if you decide to cancel
My favorite part of this video was the aftermath you filmed! You should definitely put that in the rest of your videos! “Here’s how durable or not these products are” You still looked so good with the blue! That iridescent mascara and eyeshadow were so pretty!!
Given the video title I was expecting more of a train wreck, but I felt like your cool tone look was AMAZING! Until the update 😢 I'd love to see you do a similar look with a better formula and some eyeshadow primer. Especially with Halloween coming up your look was giving me some inspiration.
Glitter mascara on the bottom lashes was such a good idea! I wasn't sold on that mascara until then. Now I need it. Looked amazing on top of the black!
For lipstick try-ons, you can buy disposable single use applicators, so that you could try it on but still keep it germ free so that it could be used by someone else.
I really enjoyed this subscription box for about 6 months, then the amount of items went down and so did the size of things, for example getting the larger pallets and lip kits with 4 colors vs the little pallets that are either in the acrylic clear cases or a travel size quads. I did email them one month because I received 4 very small items and thought something was missing, but nope that's all I was supposed to get. I decided it wasn't worth the price so I let it go.
@alexandriaryan you should just get a metal makeup palette, put a bit of the lip stuff on the palette and use a lip brush if you are unsure. Then you can still give it away because it isnt used. Just a thought!
I'm glad you tried it! I got this subscription for 3 months, and I enjoyed receiving items I normally would not have bought, with very pretty packaging. Maybe I'll rarely use them, but I like owning them. I also have a hard time working with the eyeshadows (and it's a shame bc their palettes are so pretty!) but everything else works fine. I'm fairly confident you did not fill in a questionnaire with your colors, they just have a very small range when it comes to skin products. Fair with dark hair, you fit in their standards. I'd like to see a few more of these! Maybe 6 months?
Alex, you really must have a glitter glue for these types of eyeshadows. It's specifically formulated for the eyes and "locks" the glitter into place. Give it another try with the correct supporting tools.
A lot of the Zeesea items are available on Amazon with prices ranging all over the place, but at least you could get an idea of some of the products they have available. Have you ever tried Google lens for translating? It actually works pretty well. 🤗
There were supposed to be five items in the second one: there was a second powder (Zeesea x The British Museum Silky Powder), judging by another user's unboxing
Hi sweet girl, that looked so uncomfortable that my eyes were hurting! I just enjoy watching your videos because you’re so darn cute & funny! Pray your fur babies are doing well! Sending prayers, love and hugs!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🐾🐾❤️
You could get a q-tip and just get a small amount of items you're not sure if you will like so you aren't contaminating the product but can still swatch it
1. Use flat brushes 2. Dab the color. 3. Reaply the first color after puting on color on the moving part of the lid. 4. A little cleanlines is needed in your technique 😊
Hope you feel better soon, Sending love and hugs from England. I Love when you do make up looks that are outside your comfort zone Ally. I normally think they suit you even though you don't seem to like it. Was great to see a new subscription box today however after watching the full video don't think this one's worth keeping for the price the quality wasn't there. It's a shame because it all looked nice. As always love when you do try on. Look forward to your next video.
Omg I absolutely had a mascara like that and I loved it. I saw the blue and I was like oh it’s probably not glittery though like mine and it was lol. I got mine from Claire’s and wore it when I was 13/14 and have pined for it since it dried
I love brown sugar black boba milk tea with extra boba (not the popping boba, the chewy boba) it’s so good! 😍 I always get zero sugar too because it’s sweet enough on its own.
The packaging on the Alice in Wonderland palettes are super super cute! I almost bought one for packaging alone! It's too bad that one of those palettes weren't included in this.
I don't know if you'll ever see this, but after hearing on a few different videos how you're not feeling well and your eyes are feeling heavy, and a few other things. If you haven't had your thyroid checked I highly reccomend it. You've described so many things I suffered with before being diagnosed with hypothyroidism and thyroid eye disease.
You pulled off a great look 👀! I do really like it. I have to tell you that I seen a few other content creators that use to get this Zeesea subscription and they stopped because the makeup was awful. Believe me when I say it did not get better. There may be a hit or miss product here and there in the boxes but it definitely is not worth the price. Especially with the shipping. I would just cancel to be honest. There are far more subscription options that you could get that would be well worth it. Thanks for sharing Alexandria and I am so glad you showed us what happened right after you filming this video. ♥️
I took a look at the Zeesea site. I think since it's makeup from China they seem to cater to mostly Chinese customers. I looked at several foundations and some just have 2 shades, some have 4... a VERY limited shade range. Eyebrow pencils for for black or brown hair... just 2 shades. 😅 Maybe you didn't fill out anything about shades, because they don't have many options. It might have been luck of the draw. Just a guess.
9:20 this drives me insane! I think you should use a clean brush and get the product on there to see if it will actually work for you! Or swipe the doe foot on a clean plate and then use your finger to swatch, that way you aren’t contaminating the product but you’re also trying it.
Hi Alex, when I was in Kentucky, I tried Boba tea and I did not like it at all. It grossed me out those little balls. Their packaging is always a plus. I think I would contact them because they’re supposed to be five full-size products in there. I heard that their packaging is great, that’s what I heard about their make up it’s expensive the packaging is great and there’s no pigment in the pallets I heard a lot of people canceling them because of the price and the pigments in their pallets you saved the look I did a good job. The people that get these they look to see what pallets coming in because they just want to collect the artwork. I don’t think it’s worth the money because they’re pallets don’t work.
That stabby star shape bit at the end of the mascare is to maoe it easier to separate your eye lashes especially at the those iner corners so having this shape it helps avoid spider looking lashes...
That mascara looks like so much fun. I had a silver one once I'd gotten through Avon in the early 2000s and loved it. The duochrome is a really nice update to that kind of thing. Also obsessed with boba - there's a place near me that does a brown sugar milk tea latte and it's so good! Yes, the tapioca take a bit to get used to but if you had Orbitz soda when you were a kid it's kinda similar (yes, I was also obsessed with that lol). I get the texture thing tho - I hate the jelly teas for the same reason 😅
It might just be the camera but your hair and brows look cool toned and it looks great. You can totally do cool tone! I almost wonder if you’re neutral
I wonder what things would look like layered over their primer. I know you don’t typically use it but it might help in your dry clingy areas or under the eyeshadow!
I got nearly zeesea palettes (except 2 I believe) and I don’t have a problem when i prime(with color) that makes bold colors pop and less patchy since colorful eyeshadow are harder to make than neutrals
I'm sure that glittery mascara just goes onto the tips of your lashes....After black mascara is applied!....Ive seen my youngest daughter do that with different colours! ❤
I think you should try some more months before deciding. Definitely would recommend using a primer from a previous box/calendar for these eye looks though. It was totally Claire’s 2000s fairy princess look before it started melting. Middle school me is very jealous! Watching you unbox these is so fun and wholesome. Love it
Okay, I'm a mermaid performer, & my character is arctic/an icy, wintry character. So I would absolutely LOVE that iridescent mascara!! 💙💙💙 That sugar skull palette with the shade that matches the mascara looks fabulous too! 💕🥰💕 And I'm with you on bubble tea. Because of the texture, I think it's disgusting. Just like tapioca pudding, I can't handle those little squishy balls! XD
I dont want to impose medical advice where it wasn't requested, because i know thats a pet peeve of mine. But you remind menof me when my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome started bothering me. It took me 10 years for docs to find out what was going on with me. If the symptoms look like you it might be something to look into! I wish you luck!
For your eyebrow hairs you should get some GrandeBrow, that crap is EXPENSIVE, but my eyebrows are so big and full and glorious now! I just wait for sales to stock up on it 😅
Id love if you’d try a cool toned neutral look, like with cooler browns than you normally do and a cooler bronzer & blush and even just gloss or a coolish brown lippy. One day! Lol always love watching you and unfortunately I think that box is a no go.. I wouldn’t trust the shadows either but def not worth it!
I think using an eyeshadow primer would work best. There is one specifically for glitter shades by NYX that i use for both matte and glitter shadows. That probably would solve the problem. They're definitely fun colors but im like you Alex where i typically don't venture i to the wild side either.
Thank you for showing this set! I've seen the Sugar skull palette and debated gifting it to my friend who adores sugar skulls but it seems like the packaging is the best part of it. Not worth the $30 on Amazon that it would cost when I've seen better quality from cheaper brands. Still a cute package!
I liked this boxes! There So cute I’ve wanted to try this brand for years and just haven’t. There like a middle end Chinese brand their packaging is gorgeous on everything
try the classic oolong milk tea at poke life in fayette mall! it’s the best boba i’ve ever had there! i even got my husband to love boba tea with that drink!
I got the subscription for a long time and I loved everything…maybe try an eyeshadow base like from Gerard Cosmetics? There stuff is so beautiful and if I didn’t have so much darn cosmetics…it should be illegal to own as much as I do especially for not being content creator or something…that was definitely a look whey out there!!!xoxoxo
Hi Alexandria. I was told awhile ago that the reason for my thinning hair could potentially be from coloring it. I stopped immediately. And finally after a year its starting to feel fuller again.
I actually really like the blue make up look you created. You are definitely an inspiration. Even if you don’t think you are you still help me I’m worse than you are lol you say you’re bad at making up but I must be 10 times worse or 100 times worse who knows. I love watching your videos, though Even the old ones that have nothing to do with today.
"I'm falling apart" I feel this, I too have reached my thirties and I think it's honestly like when you have a brand new car and everything starts to break when the warrenty expires. Our warrenty's expire on our 30th birthday...everything starts to fall apart after that
@@LindaKayHolevas Agree to THAT! Was just gonna say that! Hate to scare y'all, but wait until over 50. I swear, not a day goes by without SOMETHING hurting.
Yeah, bubble tea is a bit weird, sometimes I feel like I'm drinking sweet tea while chewing on fish eggs 0.o BUT I do like a lot hot chocolate milky tea with tapioca balls, they do melt a bit and the constistency is less bizarre.
I saw the other day on the walmart app that they now have a beauty subscription box too. I think its just trial size items.. but might be something to look into..
Hey guys! So this unboxing and try on did not end as I hoped! I was really excited for this subscription because of the cute packaging the brand has but I was a little disappointed in the value of the box. Maybe they made the makeup for display purposes?!?!?😮😂😊
Aurora is Dawn in Italian.

You should get disposable lip brushes so you can try without contamination!!
Great idea!!
Yes!!!
Wonderful idea - I’d really like to see the colors swatched
To be fair just opening them they are contaminated, it starts their shelf life and allows any airborne germs to start growing, plus she's talking around them which means aerosolized saliva, etc
Laughing because you think she wouldn’t immediately lose all of them
I immediate thought Alice is Wonderland when she said bunny, teapot, and cake. I think the whole second bag was themed. Beautiful packaging throughout.
I knew someone would point that out 😄❤️
I thought that too lol 😆
I actually have one of the Alice in wonderland palettes and, yes, I bought it for the packaging. I agree with the review, so I just keep it to look at
The eyeshadow palette WAS Alice in Wonderland…… I wonder about the lip gloss 🤷♀️
The palette was Alice in Wonderland theme, and I believe the imprint in the pans forms the White Rabbit's watch. They are tapioca pearls..used in tapioca pudding..I only like the pudding
Oh noooo 😂

The blue eyes look amazing on you
The spelling error suited the pallette better 😂
I have the Sugar Skull palette and really like it. But eyeshadow primer is a must then glitter glue.
If you'd like to get some use out of those intense lip products, you should try doing a blotted/ ombre lip! Glitter mascara on the bottom lashes was such a good idea! I wasn't sold on that mascara until then. Now I need it. Looked amazing on top of the black!
The color is absolutely BEAUTIFUL on you!! I agree the quality is not great but the color really makes your eyes pop😍
For lipstick try-ons, you can buy disposable single use applicators, so that you could try it on but still keep it germ free so that it could be used by someone else.
Hey Alexandria! Looking forward to the video! Btw, have you cancelled the past disappointing subscriptions?! Dont let the ADHD tax get you! x
Lol ADHD tax, I love it. Well the phrase, not the actual thing 😅
To complete the look you need blue lipstick. Complete the frosty look. I think it all would look really cute if put together differently.
I really enjoyed this subscription box for about 6 months, then the amount of items went down and so did the size of things, for example getting the larger pallets and lip kits with 4 colors vs the little pallets that are either in the acrylic clear cases or a travel size quads. I use black mascara and do my eyelash tips with color. Actually looks good!

90s have came back around in fashion and makeup 😂 it was bound to happen I had the glitter mascara and loved it
Love love love “glitter to the rescue“!

The packaging on the Alice in Wonderland palettes are super super cute! I almost bought one for packaging alone! It's too bad that one of those palettes weren't included in this.
I think the blue eyeshadow made your green eyes pop 😍
10:50 I think that pallet is supposed to be Alice in Wonderland Mad Tea Party themed. It’s not alien, but it is slightly weird.

Thanks to you I had to order the September P Louise box. It is Halloween themed!!! I cannot wait. Thanks for introducing me to it.🎉
You should try eye primer before doing your eye powder. The shadow really does stick better.
You should get some disposable spoolies/doughfoot/lip brushes/eye brow brushes to still be able to swatch them, and pass along as well
I took a look at the Zeesea site.
You can use a Q-tip to try items on by touching the day if it was a clean Q-tip and then applying it to your lips it’ll be fine
Yes there was an Alice eye shadow that's sold out now.
You can choose your colors.
And disposable lip or eyeshadow brushs will help
The first thing I thought of when you showed the second eyeshadow pallet was Alice in Wonderland. ❤️
9:20 this drives me insane! I think you should use a clean brush and get the product on there to see if it will actually work for you! Or swipe the doe foot on a clean plate and then use your finger to swatch, that way you aren’t contaminating the product but you’re also trying it.
I would try at least one more box of that subscription. That way you get a second chance to maybe like the products.
Boba tea is made with tapioca pearls....like the pudding
I actually think that make up look is adorable. Looks like the quality of dollar store makeup.
That stabby star shape bit at the end of the mascare is to maoe it easier to separate your eye lashes especially at the those iner corners so having this shape it helps avoid spider looking lashes...
The best thing I think you got was the inside plastic of the candy skull plastic. I have a killer craft I can make with that.
oh yeah, so many interesting luxe you could do for winter with that mascara. Please combine it with some snowflake facial stickers.
I want that mascara!! I like to put on a base of black before colors like that.
I wonder if the shiny mascara would look cool with a dark smokey shadow look!
There is an Ailce in Wonderland eyeshadow pallette and it's the colours you love
I think you should try some more months before deciding. Definitely would recommend using a primer from a previous box/calendar for these eye looks though. It was totally Claire’s 2000s fairy princess look before it started melting. Middle school me is very jealous! Watching you unbox these is so fun and wholesome. Love it
Advent Calendars ❤❤
Could you please try the Ulta - All I Want advent calendar and more food advent calendars this year 🥰
Okay, I'm a mermaid performer, & my character is arctic/an icy, wintry character. So I would absolutely LOVE that iridescent mascara!! 💙💙💙 That sugar skull palette with the shade that matches the mascara looks fabulous too! 💕🥰💕
And I'm with you on bubble tea.
You could apply the lip colors with a q-tip instead of the doe foot. No transfer and it should stay sanitary!
Your lashes look like Tinsel!! 🤩
I love the blue look on you I want to try blue now haha but not sure i have any. Hope you feel better soon xx
I thought it was going to be a mess, but somehow, you make it look good
For your eyebrow hairs you should get some GrandeBrow, that crap is EXPENSIVE, but my eyebrows are so big and full and glorious now! I just wait for sales to stock up on it 😅
Alexandria!! The FABFITFUN advent calendar is on sale now! I hope you get that one and unbox it! I’m so excited! 😍
It’s in my cart!🥰
@@Alexandria-Ryan I knew you’d be right on top of it! Totally digging all of your content and can’t wait for advent calendar season! 💗💗 xoxo!
Ouch it looks painful at the end. I really hope you’re feeling better! ❤🙏
Came here to say I’m 56 and LOVE that mascara!!! Must. Find. Some!
There
So cute I’ve wanted to try this brand for years and just haven’t. There like a middle end Chinese brand their packaging is gorgeous on everything
You can use the Aurora mascara in your hair for some Spice Girls kind of look😉
try the classic oolong milk tea at poke life in fayette mall! it’s the best boba i’ve ever had there! i even got my husband to love boba tea with that drink!
I’m obsessed with that icy eye look! It looks so good! Bummer it didn’t work out
Hi Alexandria. I was told awhile ago that the reason for my thinning hair could potentially be from coloring it. I stopped immediately. And finally after a year its starting to feel fuller again.
I actually really like that eye look! The mascara was cool and different
Hope you'll feel better real soon..!! 🙏
You can use your phone to translate the packaging
I saw that pretty blue mascara and the glitter girl in me yelled "oh my god, I need this!"
"I'm falling apart" I feel this, I too have reached my thirties and I think it's honestly like when you have a brand new car and everything starts to break when the warrenty expires. Our warrenty's expire on our 30th birthday...everything starts to fall apart after that
If you think you’re falling apart in your 30’s, be prepared for when you hit 50. It goes even more downhill & at a faster rate.🤣
@@LindaKayHolevas Agree to THAT! Was just gonna say that! Hate to scare y'all, but wait until over 50. I swear, not a day goes by without SOMETHING hurting.
Bless your heart punkin 😮 that was difficult. Looked pretty good once on but wow not worth it if it has that much fallout. Love your videos!
