I’ve had the AP136 for about 3 years now and have had very good luck with it.
Well Buddy iv owned my Autopilot 120 4 seasons now, I watch alot of kayak videos including you I bought mine on your recommendation, and im still happy with my purchase. I still get people asking me a ton of questions about it when I'm out on it, great video and im happy to see you catch fish God Bless you and your family.
Happy to hear it is still going strong, it is quite something, we have done like thousand of videos on this boat and it still turns head lol yeah that small redepntion was nice, God Bless you and your family as well :)
Awesome video!
I like how your Yakattack tow-n-stow cart is rigged. I have the cart. Getting a 2025 Native propel LTE soon.
If it's not broken, don't fix it.
The Old Town looks great.
Wendell's friend Jake has a new XTR130 with a Spot Lock on the bow , he loves it.
Keep the videos coming!
thats awesome! you gonna love the LTE, I tried several times to get an XTR to make videos but someone in bonafide does not see the value, I guess 300,000 views in the xtr series is not enough
@AliexFolgueira I should be able see the XTR up at the Ohio fishing Expo on Feb 7th- 9th. I'm supposed to hang out with Wendell, Jake, and a guy from Indiana named "Gramps". LoL 😆
say hi for me, I talk with Wendell once in a while
@AliexFolgueira I will , brother! We're all excited for spring! Freaking still cold up here lol
Lol! I am an Auto pilot for life sort of guy. When I die, I want to be buried in it! With out it, I definately would not catch as many fish. I do also own 1 piscifun alijoz drop reel and really like it. Great video bud!
That’s awesome, the alijoz is a great reel!
Heck yeah aliex I would like to see you using a 5hp on that kayak waiting for that video 🤙👍
@@gregmartinez4495 it is coming!
Great video 😊
Thank you, I haven't had a video in a while that hurt so much while editing it lol 😂
Everyone has an opinion. Mine is Palomar Knot! Great video as usual. Tight lines brother!
@@CreekQuest yup, also the drag was tooo tight, what a mistake
Hey Aliex great content like always, what neck mount are you using for your GoPro? I want to start recording but I really don't like the chesty mounts. Thank you in advanced
Hi this the one I use (amazon affiliate) amzn.to/4jyJvYU
@@AliexFolgueira You the best brotha
I ain’t buying the autopilot until I hit the lottery, or if I did hit the lottery I rather buy the pro angler 360 and put a motor mount on the front.
but taht would be more money though
Ali how does the stability of the ap 120 compare to the pwr129? lots of good kayaks out there make it hard to make these choices without tubers like you doing these comparisons. thank you for what you do
I have not flipped the autopilot, but now it's time! I can do it now. Let's wait for cooler waters, but I have a feeling the autopilot will be more stable. Based on the crazy conditions I've experienced, I never felt like flipping once, while I've felt like flipping on the Power 129. Not that it was going to flip, you know, just the feeling. Looking at the numbers and the hull design, the autopilot should be more stable; it's heavier, it's wider, and both are the same length. Thank you for your support.
Very nice video Aliex; but its not about speed all the time. This kayak is still the best choice to spend a relaxing day on the water hunting for fish.Looks like you had a nice day of fishing on the Autopilot though.👍
agreed! go too fast you may miss fish
Still the best fishing kayak there is. I've had mine for 2 years and would replace it with the same thing if I needed a new kayak.
@@timhicks7712 yup
How long is that fishing rod got to be a 9 to 10 ft. Florida life must be good you can fish all year long everything if frozen in Illinois
@@andrewilliams1518 for the yak I like 7, max 7.6 from land maybe you want 8, yup FL is cool
Nice red! Sucks the first fish got off but it happens. Is that Carbon reel waterproof? The only one they list with a waterproof rating on their site is the NautiX.
no the carbon X 2 isnt waterproof, If you dunk it in salt, well you know, I think the NautiX 3000 on this rould should be epic, I will test it soon. I asked for a second rod M to put the NautiX on but piscifun said lets do this 4 products for now lol.... I hope this video gets a lot of views and sales so I can ask them for the other rods! lol
Do you think Hoodoo kayaks are worth buying, it will be my first kayak purchase and I dont want to spend $5000 on one until I have some experience
@@sidewinder-nf9qm some are made in the US, didn't look bad when I saw them, can't really say I haven't try one yet
They are good i have two friends that have the same one pedal drive very good and stable
@@AliexFolgueira would you go with fin or propeller drive?
Prop drive or get the hobie drive
@sidewinder-nf9qm spending 5k on a kayak is never worth it to be honest. Unless you just Wana show off you have money to spend.
I got a real from ya still works great
@@wegottafishdude nice, is it still cold there?
The autopilot is good but the new Bonafide is a superior kayak in every way.
@@kimroberson8376 how so?
Soooooo if you still love the autopilot 120 why is your heart broken?
@@justgregnow did you watch the video?
@ the entire video! I assume your heart is broken because you don’t have time to fish it the old town. A lot of assumptions going on with the broken heart part
thank you for watching it fully, part of that is that but mainly, how i lost that monster, still hurts
@ ahhhh I thought it was more about the kayak! Yeah man I’d suggest having your drag a bit more loose. That way there’s a bit more forgiveness on your knot 🤙🏼
Yup I think that was the real issue, the drag was too tight
So I bought my autopilot the first year it came out but I had an event in my life two years ago that has kept me off the water. People are telling me to sell my autopilot. I don’t want to but may be forced to. How is the secondary market for these things? I won’t even consider selling it if the secondary market is bad.
@@soklee1893 lots of sellers, not too many buyers, expect offers for half the value, if you take your time eventually somone will offer you something acceptable. In season it takes about a month to sell a yak, probably around 3 off season
Well, I’m thinking I should’ve went with the auto pilot. I went for my second time today on my PDL 120 that I got last weekend here in Fort Lauderdale, and the drive broke on me. It left me stranded 3 miles down the river I had to paddle upstream against the current to get back to the ramp. It took me forever my arms are killing me. Also I lost my anchor, broke a rod and didn’t catch any fish. Got a nice sunburn, though even though it was cloudy most of the day.
How did it break? The prop??
@ apparently the nut that holds the prop backed up because it wasn’t the right nut. It wasn’t a lock nut that came with the pedal drive originally and I lost the little pin that makes the prop turn. That’s what I get for buying the showroom model. Just left Nautical Ventures in Fort Lauderdale. The dude made it right got me a pin and he’s ordering some extra props and pins and a few of them lock nuts free of charge for having to paddle 3 miles upstream yesterday with all my gear loaded on it.
wow they should have check everything before selling it, is not a bad idea to cary spare pin and prop with you, i broke 2 props already in other boats
