Thats pretty neat you found the axe head! There is different rust remover chemicals you can get to soak the axe in, then you can polish or whatever... i think one brand is evapo rust...
I'm going to bolt a little plaque on the cement saying there is a time capsule buried with the date as well, would be a shame if it went undiscovered ⛏️
@@SargeRedsVintageToys Coke Cola is also another product that people use to remove rust & grime from things, aslo if it had been made from silver the previous owner would be fuming over how he lost it.
I’d use electrolysis on that axe head for restoration. You can find YT vids on how and make it with power supply you have laying around the house. Just keep it up and away from the kids.
A time capsule was a brilliant idea
I thought it would be fun for the kids and I was stoked to find the axe so I figured someone in the future would get a kick out of it.
A time capsule...cool idea!...stay safe!
We buried a time capsule at my childhood home when I was a kid. Great to see you guys doing this with your kids. Awesome brother
Thanks, they enjoyed it, Im going to get a little plaque to put on the spot so it gets found eventually
Love the progress and if you search on youtube you can find all kinds of ways to remove that rust from that ax head.
Thanks, it's coming along. I have the axe soaking in vinegar now to see if it will help

I have it soaking in white vinegar now, if that doesn't work I'm going to try and find evaporust.

There's a Mossman hidden in my old garden somewhere and a GI joe burial site. Which still gets on my nerves how many I smashed up. Probably about 50😭
Lol, at least they received a proper burial 😂
Have you got the invisible girl ?,I didn't see her 😂😂😂😂
How did you miss her, shes clearly shown there 😂😂
wish I could see the peoples faces in the future when they dig it up lol
I know, that would be cool!
Don't put the sweets in could damage other stuff 😉
Try using some vinegar to clean up that axe head, since it's very likely not made of silver you should be able to get away with that.
I wish it was silver lol. We've had it soaking in vinegar for about 24 hours so far, its removed some rust so far.
