Love the continuation on this because I enjoyed the original talk on names. Can we all just appreciate the icons used for Nakamura (and Kajita LOL), he looks perfect!
I think Shimono and Namikawa are called without honorifics because they are teased by everyone. They mess up on stage quite often too, so I guess they don’t emit the untouchable aura that people like Sakurai do. Nakamura and Sugita are very comedic and they seem like the type to not care about honorifics. Also, I think girls are more likely to use kun and san if the seiyuu is cute, young, and just standard ikemen. The weirder and crazier their personality is, like Eguchi, the more likely Japanese girls will not use honorifics.
If I’m just normally talking about seiyuu I would just call their last names like Nakamura, Kamiya, Hosoya for example but if I were to really meet them, I would call all of them with “san” because I really respect them! Thanks for the translation!
@@zbigbozbboy5245 actually Addressing or get addressed by a stranger with sama without any context will make a really weird and awkward situation So... No San is more than enough
Well In normal convo i just call them their first name or nickname to some who had their nickname attached in my head But meet them in person Ofcourse I'll address them properly
I'm surprised he gets called as "Yuuichi-san", I feel like I haven't heard much of him being called that way and he even says he's not used to so it's probably more of a recent thing and more of a thing done in private? But lol at how Namikawa's been added to the group and Nakamura himself has called him without "-san". Lol "Kou-chan has an ulterior motive."
I think outside the industry, people looks at Nakamura, Sugita and Shimono as real and approaching people. At least I feel that way, like if I could met them, I really could become a friend of them. Indeed, I don't use "san" or "kun" with them, as well as I don't use pennames (like "Youkyan", that kind of things), and I think it's because of that, because I feel like they are approachable. I personally don't like to use the -san thing with them because it feels very far from me, as Kajita says. As a fan, I think this is why people doesn't use -san, -kun or pennames with them. If I were a seiyuu and I wanted to be friends with my senpais... what should I do? Kotarou and the rest of Nakamura's kohai have the answer: using the name with -san xD That way you are screaming in silence: I want to be your friend! In the end I think it's all about that: people want to approach them because they have the ability of attract people with their personality. You should be proud, Nakamura! (But if I can met you anytime in my life, I'll call you Nakamura-san, just in case. xD!)
LaGini Well in Japan it’s kind of important to call someone older than you with “san” if they’re older than you because it shows that you show respect to them. Until you’re truly “buddy buddy” with them you wouldn’t normally call your senpai’s without the San unless you call them “something something senpai” if they’re wayyy older than you then ofc call them with San. Obviously if we’re just typing in the comment section it’s fine but if you ever meet them irl it’s important to call them with the honorifics
@@AlvinaYunoa Of course, but I'm not talking about talking to them, but talking about them. If I were with my friends in a cafe in Japan I'll never use -san. If I had the chance to talk to them, of course I'll use -san (that's common sense). But as a fan talking about seiyuu, I don't use -san with them because to me they seem friendly and approchable, like they could be my friends. What I wanted to say is that being yobisute in this case is not a bad thing. But of course, if you have the chance to talk to a seiyuu, use -san, yeah hahaha
Nakamura-san is right i do call Sugita and Shimano without using san or 'kun' yet i call other seiyuu with 'san' and 'kun' but only those two: Kamiya-san, Ono-san, Kaji-kun, Natsuki-san, Yuuma-kun but i don't call Suzumura Kenichi 'Suzu'.
lol while complaining about people saying his name without honorifics he mentions how he sometimes calls a senpai without honorifics.. and then later he does the same thing to another seiyuu, then says he doesn't really care how people call him he really is a troublesome guy huh lmao
he explain that he just get a lil bit weird when others whe even younger in the industry/age wise.. is like someone else call your lil bro mr. something yet calls you by your name.. even youll wonder about that too right? like WHY tho? xD
Life goals: having a friendship as the one Nakamura, Kajita and Sugita have.
