Bertha Lake Virtual Run Out & Back Pt. 1 | 51min | Treadmill Workout | Virtual Walk | Bertha Falls

Join me on this 4K Virtual Run to Bertha Lake in Waterton Lakes National Park. Along the way we will pass the beautiful Bertha Falls and if you look closely you might also see wildlife including a young black bear on the trail, a spruce grouse (x2), a mule buck on the trail and a marmot. From Bertha Falls Climb the 21 switchbacks (yes, I counted them) where you can take in the scenes of Bertha Lake before returning to the Falls.
Stay tuned for the second part of this tour where I will take you around Bertha Lake.
We will pass through the burned forest from the Kenow fire during the summer of 2017. While most of the trail was affected by the fire, Bertha Lake itself was largely unaffected. For more info on the Kenow fire:

Thanks for your kind words! Bears are common in the mountains forsure. If you make alot of noise to alert the bears of you presence, then you won't see them. It's when you surise them or get between a momma bear and a cub that things can get interesting.
