The call in voting actually aired December 29, 1995. The actual countdown aired on New Year’s Eve. I don’t know if anyone has the official countdown. At midnight, a new world premiere toon aired. EDIT: I’m gonna assume Dexter won the vote since it premiered in 1996
@@DennisTamayo And I’m guessing like the Cartoon Cartoon Big Pick, since Dexter’s Laboratory won the vote, it became a show on Cartoon Network considering that the show premiered 4 months after this event
@@tammyjej Yeah, & Johnny Bravo & Cow and Chicken became shows in 1997 after Time Warner (now Warner Bros. Discovery) acquired Hanna-Barbera from Turner on October 10, 1996.
@@DennisTamayo What I don’t know is that how Whatever Happened To Robot Jones still became a show even though it only came in 2nd place in the 2000 Big Pick. My theory is that Cartoon Network needed a new show for the 2002 Cartoon Cartoon Fridays season and Codename: Kids Next Door, the winner of the 2001 Big Pick, wasn’t scheduled to premiere until December 2002 so they decided to make Robot Jones into a show

(Blame the tape, not the uploader)
But WOW!! Another great found of Cartoon Network’s history.
That portion of the tape was damaged when I got it, guessing the tape was eaten at some point in time.
@MickeysVHSandBetamaxFinds Huh that's kinda weird
I remember watching Johnny Bravo this night on the channel preview channel cause we didn't get cartoon network.
Man, I miss the old Cartoon Network.😭😭
Why
@@user-vi4xy1jw7e Because the new one is lame. I like the old Cartoon Network better. I miss the old days.😔

Johnny Bravo premiere in 1997
What cartoon won this vote and did the winning cartoon become a show on Cartoon Network?
Dexter's Laboratory.

@@tammyjej Well, Billy & Mandy won 1st place & it became a show with Evil Con Carne as Grim & Evil. Later, it became its own show in 2003.
