I’ve always heard soooo many great things about Princess Cruises from my aunt, and she told me that I should try them out at least once. And here are what I loved and hated (well… disliked!) about my very first Princess Cruise experience! 🎉
@@TheTravellingLuis I thought it was wierd too, when I was booking my cruise as most other cruises I've done have a couche in a standard balcony cabin. It wasn't worth the extra money for me to have a couch even though I do prefer it. I hope this helps.
Wife and I also think it's odd not having a sofa for a similar class cabin. We just got off a 2-week cruise on Caribbean Princess and our balcony cabin had no sofa. Royal, MSC, Norwegian we had sofas unless it's a lower tier cabin. Also, on Caribbean Princes, the casino is small and crammed. If you play in the casino often, especially the slots, you should be getting offers for free cruises via Princess Casino. We also enjoyed the food - very surprised when there was lamb and duck offered. Food is a notch higher than Royal and much higher than MSC. Great review. Your assessment is pretty spot on with my wife and me about Princess Cruises.
@@TheTravellingLuis the ports was Belize, Mahogany Bay, Cozumel, St Thomas, St Maarten, Princess Cays....1 more port. We usually try to book 2 different ship, 1 for each week but couldn't make it happen. Both cruises was "free" since my wife plays in the ship's casino.
I am curious about the smoke level in the casino. Was it bad? What type of massage did you have? Once I got a deep tissue massage on a Princess cruise and I was feeling it for about 2 days. Now I get a hot stone massage because its more relaxing and not painful. Can't wait to try the new beds. We have done 9 cruises with Princess with 2 more coming up with this ship. Thanks for sharing!!
After I made this video, I remembered my travel agent said that the specific cabin I booked can only fit 2. She said there are balcony cabins that can fit 3 (or maybe more!) - I assume those cabins probably would have a couch.
@@TheTravellingLuis there has never been a couch in a Princess Balcony room until the newer Royal Class ships which have Deluxe Balconies. These cabins are also noticeably larger than the balcony cabins…at least enough to fit a two person sofa! Mini suites have always had sofas. I think you did a great review of your likes and dislikes! I’m glad you enjoyed the food as this can vary greatly from cruise to cruise, even on the same ships. That being said, I’ve been disappointed with the food at times, but always enjoyed the cruise! One of the things you hated about Princess was the “ugly” closet area. This is one thing I absolutely love for the amount of space, easy access to items. It does make the cabin feel smaller, and prevents the added sofa. If I’m traveling with my hubby I’ll book a mini suite, or maybe a deluxe balcony if it’s on a Royal Class. If I’m by myself, a balcony will do!😁 Again, great video, and Happy Travels! Lois😊
Thanks for watching! 💖 I didn’t know that Princess usually doesn’t have a couch in the cabin 😱 i think I was just surprised that the closet area is that big lol. I’m used to the tiny ones on Royal Caribbean cabins lol 😂

Great points! I miss not having a couch either!! You’re spot on with all of your points!!
A standard balcony on Princess doesn't include a couch. If you want a couch upgrade to a deluxe balcony.

If you want a couch in your stateroom / cabin for Princess that would be a mini suite or higher. Thanks for sharing!
I didn’t know that lol. I heard some balcony room has a couch too. Maybe a different cabin category 🤷🏻♀️

Deluxe balcony has couch
True! I didn’t know that, it was my first princess cruise.
We will be on this ship in January. Can you tell me what room you had that didn’t have a sofa ? Ty !
Our cabin number was C234

I don’t think the smoking was that bad in the casino.. i don’t remember a lot of ppl smoking tbh 🤔
If you need a couch, the mini suite has a living area
