- Do you want to know how you can clean that disgusting coffee mug you love so much? Tried scrubbing and soaking, all sorts of cleaning concoctions but nothing is working ?
In today's video I'm testing out a cleaning hack that claims to get the absolute worst coffee stains out of mugs that takes no effort at all and is super cheap! Come with me as I find out if this hack is fact or if its just crap! Trust me no shame here, my YETI mug is one of the worst you've ever seen. Lets see if we can get this baby CLEAN!
Denture cleaning tablets can be bought from supermarket or pharmacy I picked up this packet from Woolworths for $3.50!

I cleaned my 1 qt Stanley thermos today using this method. I use it just for coffee. I dropped in 2 tablets and slowly filled it with boiling water. When the fuzzing subsided I put the cap on and gave it a shake. I let it soak for a couple of hours and shook it whenever I was in the kitchen. It looks brand new, this hack really works!! It even removed the coffee smell from the cap. Thanks for the video, good job!

Used 2 tabs, boiling water and let it sit about an hour. Perfect!
I just did mine for the same reason but i used dishwasher tablet and boiling water filled to the rim with tablet in and let it sit for 1 hour dumped it out washed it out and is just like brand new. Give it a try
Denture tablets are great for cleaning water bottles, tumblrs, and hiking camelbacks. Been using them for years! You can event do kettles and water reservoirs for your coffee machine.

I will also verify that this works well. My Rambler wasn’t as gross as Emma’s but was still very heavily stained. 4 tablets, boiling hot water, let it sit for 15 minutes then light scrub and the Yeti was clean as brand new. Thanks for a great tip!

you do NOT need to be using that many tablets for a cup of that size. I have a 24 oz bottle and the most I use is 2.

Great video! In the past I used a damp dishcloth and regular table salt. The salt is a abrasive but will not scratch the Yeti mug and it works great as well.

Wow, I've never seen a tumbler that bad! That definitely works. I'm trying a dishwasher tablet right now and if it doesn't work ill be buying some denture tablets. Mine isnt real bad. I do soak it in vinegar and hot water occasionally.

Bar keepers friend is good! The Denture cleaner is great for these cups as there's no need to scrub at all! Lazy girl cleaning hack haha 🤗

Iv had my steel one 12 month use it mist days drink only coffe and wst is strange its only seems to. Be the base of mug wat gets pitch b lacim using white vinager but thats hard work and as my mug has a heat sencing cap im im glad the stains never go up the side so im thinking i might try it but failing that ill try my fish eashing tablet as my contigo mug never stain at all which is dish eash safe and iv had that for 8 years but only used that wen id trsvel but my cina muhs at home wen u go bissy would let mcoffee go cold do thsts ehi i mosyly use my mug that has a thermomiter built in lid but vinagee. Can take days to clean my.one yest old had wàh cup so my contigo is a better to trsvil with due to can drink from it but with lid on but loving drnture idea will be chesper the dish wásh tab only wish the body of my heat sence one was not had wash lol swings and round abouts lolo

You should ideally leave the dentures cleaning tablets in it overnight & then rinse it with dish soap & then repeat if it's not as clean as you want
I just did the dishwasher tablet method on my slightly shadowed ones though I used a powder not tabs. It worked well but I definately think leaving it for 30 or so minutes is important to let the process develop. Next time I need to do it I will try the denture tabs.
I dont understand why we end up with this film of "stain" even with daily washing, I guess it is just mineral buildup but I would have thought regular washing would prevent it.
No I believe it's cos they are hand wash only the same will happen with china mugs that are hand wash only if it's is dish wash safe and u don't have a dish washer there is it prob I have a steel mug which has a dish wash safe body and a dish washer my opinion all steel mugs should have a dish wash body then if only need to hand wash the lids and in my experience lids never seem to stain and I have noticed on Amazon exp they say hand wash when some times in revs customers say it's only the lid that is hand wash and the body is dish wash safe as they took a risk and it made off cunpey should spend more time testing to see how to make more cups dish wash safe and state it is only lids that need hand wash as lids never seem to stain lol I'm tring to pluck up the courage to test this idea with my heat sense mug as the sencer and seal is on the lid but keep puttting it off as i use that mug daily

Can you please do one on the grime in the espresso coffee pots. The metal ones that are percolated on the stove.

I cleaned out a Contico mug lid by using Hydrogen Peroxide 3% and zero staining afterwards.
It worked!

Lid just goes in the dishwasher and comes out clean as, cant say the same for the inside of the mug though!
Leave it over night when you're not using the Yeti.
Another life hack would be washing your cups regularly.

You can also try a dishwasher tablet.
I found Denture tablets work better and are a lot cheaper too which is a bonus!

5 minutes is not long enough. A couple hours would be better. What I don't understand is how people let their cups get like this. You've been drinking out of it every day like this? Don't you put your cups in the dishwasher every night?
