Fanilo
Thanks Fanilo for everything you're doing for this community! You have been the first to introduce me to streamlit, and since then I've been trying to use streamlit more and more for my personal and working project. I've never had a chance to take the step further and become a more skilled streamlit programmer, but I'm looking forward to it.
PS: streamlit and data stuff apart, your editing skills are one of the bests around here
Thank you for watching and your support, it's very appreciated 😁
I use Streamlit on a lot of dumb personal ideas ahah (there will probably be one to get all of the people that commented here and select a random 5), I think building a lot of small apps is the way to grow both your technical/Python and communication/marketing skills!
PS: 😁 eheheh thank you. There are moments when I wonder if all this editing effort is worth it, but those comments keep me motivated to keep my morale high!
Thank you Fanilo for all the great content
Awesome! This is just what I was looking for! 🤩
Thank you Fanilo, is because of you videos that I have been able to create awesome web apps with Streamlit!
i have been following you since i first started with streamlit.
thank you so very much for all you work with this community.
Thank you for the support, really appreciated!
nice work as always..got me up to speed with Streamlit and made me more and more deep into the Streamlit rabbithole!
Thanks for the support :)
There's no end to the Streamlit rabbithole, I've been digging gold in there for 3 years XD
Loved the way you have created and presenteed your video. You deserve millions of views. Thank you for this streamlit Video. Now I know we colud do much more in Streamlit than I thought. I am curretly working on stramlit application and I love my work so much. ❤
Thanks for the feedback, and good to know you're loving your Streamlit apps, I hope it continues like this!
Wishing myself a million views too ahah 😁
Thanks for your good work! Helps always a lot!
Thanks for your support :) really appreciated
First : great intro, makes me wanna watch the movie / read the book !
Second : Interested in the book / be part of the concours !
Keep going 🚀🚀🚀
Your teaching skills make programming fun! Looking forward to building more projects!
That's a very nice feedback, I'm keeping this :) thanks for watching
Cool, very curious about the book, thanks for the content.
Thanks for your support 🙂 hope to keep seeing you around
Thank you, Fanilo, for all you do for this community! You were the first to introduce me to streamlit, and I've been trying to use it more and more for my personal and professional projects since then. I'm so excited about the book to leverage my skills using Streamlit and advance Technology. I would love build a Real-time Cryptocurrency Price Tracker.
Thanks for your support - it means a lot! Fingers crossed for you on the giveaway :)
I actually just bought this book a couple weeks ago but have not started to read it! I definitely will after watching your great video! 👍
Ahah you know what's waiting in the book now :D enjoy it well
This book looks like a fantastic way to level up and really produce some amazing web apps!
Hell yesh! Thanks for the endless programming entertainment. I´d love to finally build the application we really need at work but don´t have a person to build it for. I tried a lot of diffrent things in streamlit just to get myself familair before but it´s a challenge to get it exactly right as I´d like it to be. I am sure the book will absolutely help me achieve the goal.
Thanks for your support, it means a lot 😊
As far as "getting it exactly right as I´d like it to be", it's always a challenge to implement the 5% last percent of a design, especially since manipulating Streamlit's CSS is still a bit of a pain, so best of luck!
I'm planning to build a webapp that I can automate my Data Science projects but seeing Streamlit makes me more confident that it's possible.
You should definitely try it :) I use Streamlit as a frontend for almost any small, random Python idea / Command line tool I create 😇
Epic video! For some awesome work!
Glad you enjoyed it :) thanks for the support
Wow! 27th is my Bday - a good gift. Hahaha.
Anyways, will get it or not - learnt a lot from your postings- thanks!. Done number of personal & work related automation / visualization projects.
Nice! Feel free to share one, I want to play with more personal automation projects right now ^^
Thanks for always keeping us informed and entertained with your latest content on streamlet learning. (I don't speak English so I used a translator lol)
Wow, I hope you were still able to understand what I say with all those sound effects and background music 😳
Streamlit is Magical! Such a great framework.
Going from idea to live prototype so fast is so satisfying!
I'm very happy for you! Congratulation! New Chemistry apps loading :)
Thank you! 😊
I need to learn more Chemistry apps! Way too many domains to explore...I suppose you already played with all the streamlit molecular components :p
@@andfanilo I’m going to, very excited! 🧪 ⚛️
Great video!
Thanks for watching :D
I am so used to working with Streamlit by now, I very rarely use notebooks anymore. My current project has to do with extracting tables from PDFs and generating summary reports also in pdf. Thank you for your work!
Thanks for sharing, glad to hear ahah 😁 I use a combination of Streamlit and sometimes ipython for the very quick side testing, best combo!
Your project looks great, any Python library to recommend for extracting tables from pdf? I’ve seen multiple people trying this
@@andfanilo That would be interesting to see, to find out more about how you test stuff quickly as a "side quest". Do you have a ready "template" for this? As for libraries I've given pdfplumber and Camelot a try. So far, Camelot needed a lot of additional installs for me and afterwards ran a bit slower. With pdfplumber, after getting the hang of the configurations, I got better and faster results. Had a usecase where the table was on multiple pages and not every page had headers and not every column had values on every page, didn't find a good solution with Camelot. With pdfplumber I found and set automatically column lines based on first page of the table and used that in the configuration. Worked fine with this and similar PDFs.
Thanks for your video. Streamlit is a great tool which I would use to build geospatial apps
Awesome! What kind of geospatial app? I feel I'm missing out by not doing a tutorial on geospatial apps, but I'm not proficient at it and at the same time Qiusheng Wu ( ua-cam.com/video/CVD42d3ejO0/v-deo.html ) is already covering that so well
Hello Fanilo! Firstly, congratulations on your videos, they are inspiring to all programming enthusiasts and streamlit fans. I would love to be the winner of the giveaway for this book, which looks really incredible! Congratulations once again and please continue helping us with your knowledge!
Thanks for the support, greatly appreciated :)
May the odds of the giveaway be with you!
Wow this is great like really great. Streamlit for Data Science?😮
Looks good 😊
🔥 it is 🔥 good luck on the contest!
just fire🔥🔥🔥
Eheh thank you ;)
would love to get oneeee!
I have learnt streamlit just enough to build some basic web apps and I am looking forward to build something for the community (like a hands-on tutorial hosted on streamlit itself with practical examples). I've also been following app gallery of streamlit, and excited to build some AI tools on my own as well.
Looking forward to a hands-on tutorial with practical examples, we always need more! Feel free to share it when you create one 🙂
I NEED THIS BOOK!
Best of luck on the contest :)
very cool, I’d like to see the best practices on the project level
I think there was a blog post the team was preparing for tips on building mid-size projects, or plugging a Streamlit module in a bigger Python project. I wonder where it's at...I'll ask the team
Thanks for watching!
I want to create a yield optimization automation for my father, who is involved in chicken farming, and show it in Streamlit. I'd like to support this with numerous AI and ML prediction models!
What a kind goal 🙂 I hope it works out well! Let us know if you have any issues
Keep going brother
Thanks for the support, I'll keep going!
Thanks Fanilo for your amazing channel, really inspiring. The book looks really helpful. I hope you are happy to ship to the UK if I'm lucky?
Hey, thanks for the support!
Yeah, UK should be good, no worries (actually Streamlit will be doing the shipping :p )
Good luck on the draw!
Hello from Slovakia; you do quality work and education 😎
Hello, nice to meet you! It's nice to hear where y'all come from 😊 thanks for your support!
Thanks for the video and the giveaway
Thanks for your support :)
Thanks for sharing such an incredible content... I have built few apps with streamlit but now I want to create a Chatbot which can chat with UA-cam videos...
Thanks for your support!
I've seen a few Streamlit chatbot over UA-cam videos, you can search for some inspiration on Github ^^ good luck on the new project!
I would love a copy of that book!
💪 you know what to do
Merci pour ton travail, je me suis mis à Streamlit grâce à toi, cher ancien collègue :)
HEEEYYY, j'espère que tu vas bien :DD hâte de voir tes futures applications!
Thanks for the video i want to bulid stock prediction app
Imagine how amazing my apps would be with this book 🤓
They'd be 🔥🔥🔥 apps for sure! Best of luck on the giveaway
Streamlit is just so great ,have used it now about one month.
Congrats! What did you build so far 🙂 ?
I'm learning pandas and streamlit by making cost calculating app. I have made it with excel before and now testing first with jupiter notebook and then streamlit. So excellent tools all.
Very nice video! I discover Streamlit and I really want to make many apps. In particular, I wish to create a real time object detection app that apply over IP cameras
Thanks. Your use case looks very interesting. There's no truly "real-time detection" example in the book and I think a lot is scattered on the forum discuss.streamlit.io/ especially under the streamlit-webrtc component ( github.com/whitphx/streamlit-webrtc ). The book is still a good introduction though if you're starting out.
Thanks@@andfanilo, I will try! 👍
My first app will be object tracking and counting, and having and dashboard with analytics
That looks great! Will you be analyzing static images or are you aiming for real-time video ?
I like your humour to present the technical things.
I would like to build an app related with time series analysis of electricity consumption. I have a dataset and I am considering start building it while I follow the book I'm gonna win in this giveaway 🤞😅
Thanks for the support, very appreciated.
Time to manifest the "winning the book" part 💪
I really need the book. I wanna learn how I can use streamlit to develop Large Language Models Chatbot with my custom data.
Oh yeah, there should be app templates for it at this point!
Not related to Streamlit but I heard nice things about embedchain for this use case, though I haven't tested it yet docs.embedchain.ai/get-started/quickstart
Huga puga puga.... A request management system with streamlit connected with a database. The most common use case I see with any employer.
Why did "streamlit-jira" component pop in my head ahah
very interesting
Thanks for watching :)
I would build a RAG Chatbot in Streamlit!
It would be nice to have it on office bookshelf
And then you would need to get it signed by all your favorite Streamlit creators 😏
With Streamlit I would develop a dashboard integrated to a data pipeline wish presents the health situation for different diseases in rural areas of my country.
I hope you manage to build this!
There are a lot of geospatial Streamlilt apps around, like on giswqs-streamlit.hf.space/ . I'm honestly not very proficient in drawing maps in Streamlit, are you following @QiushengWu ? He has some videos on this ua-cam.com/video/CVD42d3ejO0/v-deo.html
Have a nice day!
@@andfanilo thanks
❤
🤩
Lemme get one of those books🙏
Best of luck on the contest :)
i want to build an app to build to collect info for my students at my music academy.
Nice! Let us know how it goes :) I was just building a similar app to collect students answers on an online question and store them in Firestore (though it could be Google sheets too docs.streamlit.io/knowledge-base/tutorials/databases/private-gsheet )
Best of luck on the implementation!
thank you for the information, as always your video is amazing, to the point, and easy to understand
and all your videos are making my life easier as a python enthusiast
And right now I'm building an easy dashboard app, for monitoring Workflow process, to get insight what do we need to do to improve our workflow.
And I hope I can get the giveaway this book, so I can explore more and present more easy to read for the user to get insights.
Thank you so much
keep up the good work and updates for your projects.
stay healthy
Thank you for the support, I'm happy I can inspire you to keep building those Streamlit apps 💪 I think your use case is perfect for this!
Random question, if I were to do a longer introductory course to Streamlit, are there any things you were struggling with so far?
It's getting colder in France, I'm going to grab a blanket and some green tea to keep me warm and healthy 😊
@@andfanilo Thank you for your feedback Fanilo
About your question, I'm sorry I can't think anything yet, because I know streamlit recently about 2-3 weeks, and I found your tutorial videos and really easy to understand.
Maybe in the future I will get back to you
And I'm in Jakrata - Indonesia, and the air temperature here at noon it soo hot and can go high to 36-38 degrees celcius maybe more 😅
@@andfanilo Oh ya, I just remembered
How to create dataframe visual with auto filter at the top or below of each column header like in microsoft excel ?
Or Maybe it doesn't have auto, we need to click "submit" button to apply the filter its okay too
Because I search, and still cannot find this feature on streamlit.
And maybe can you create roadmap journey to use streamlit as a data science ?
So that we know how and when to use streamlit
You can create on youtube or Learning website (eg : udemy)
Thank you very much 😁
About your filter thing, I think Mito for Streamlit has that: docs.trymito.io/mito-for-streamlit/getting-started filter in the header and get back the filtered dataframe in the script. But haven't verified, just a hunch
Thinking about how to do a small course for that yeah, that's why I'm asking what you'd like to learn quicker about Streamlit in the comments :)
It's a little hard to work both on UA-cam and a small course in the side hustle, but definitely in my mind.
In the meantime this book is actually a good bet for a roadmap to Streamlit for data analysis.
@@andfanilo Okay, will check the trymito asap.
Of course it will little hard and need time management to create the course for side hustle
You just do what you can and most important thing is be happy and healthy 😁
Thank you again for your feedback
A project based approach does help learning a tool like streamlit.
But I doubt one can completely do away with scrolling through forums for specific solutions.
That's fair, the forum will give you that last 5% extra mile to complete your project.
Actually, now I want a chatbot over the forum, scrolling 3 years of forum answers gets tiring very quickly, especially when consolidating duplicate fragmented outdated answers ^^"
That's true
A chatbot trained on all the info on the forum would be a great help.
oh absolutely, I spend tons of my time on forums and learning from the internet! What I meant is that I love . Good point, thank you
For someone like me transitioning to Data Science, seems like this book is definitely a good choice moving away from endless tutorials.
Oh, you're right, I never thought of buying a book as a first step to moving out of infinite tutorial mode. The fact of buying a resource + closely following it does make you more focused 🤔
Can I have one? It's my birthday today
Happy birthday 🎂 hope the algorithm goes in your way!
Thank you 😀
I want to get the recognition I deserve !
I will cross fingers for your manager/customer to remember your Streamlit app before performance review 😆💸
Thank you Fanilo for everything you offer us, and yes I'll try my luck ;-)😀
May the odds be with you ^^
