I love the 2.2 in my 320. Its not the fastest car ive owned, but its incredibly reliable, it sits confortable at 5k rpm during long journeys, and fuel consumption isnt bad. And the sound, its just bmw, when you have one, you know about that.
@@rhycemg When u get used to that high rpms, even tho it feels bad at the beginning. Its OK, no vibrations and you cant even hear the engine but going around 160-170kmh, you have to get used to it and know that before u buy an 2.2l m54
Yes,that engine loves to rev,when you get it in powerband it is fast,and sounds best 4000-6000 rpm.I drive e46 coupe,m54b22,manual gearbox,2002,219000 km,saphire black colour,have it for 6 years and plan is to keep it.....Love that car.😀
i got one in silver since 2013 i am still in love ;D its timeless not to slow not to fast not to loud not to quiet and brought me a long way ! the only thing i would love to have would be a 6th gear :d

@@oscarericsson8300 his point was more about keeping the same gear ratios but with additional 6th gear. He is right, 5th gear will rev up to 4K RPM at regular highway cruising speeds, thats just way too high.
@@jovanminkovski You can find one for super cheap, one of the cheapest BMW. Maintenance wise I wouldn’t know how to tell you cause I haven’t had anything gone bad in it…yet.
I'm thinking about selling my 2009 skoda octavia and getting one of these. I got kinda bored with Skoda, it got me through my first 3 years of driving and i wanna try a RWD car, i think this one will suite me well cause it's not too powerful but it aint slow either.
Go for a 325 or 330, the 320 is kinda slow. I'm picking up a 320i next month (automatic) and even just after a test drive I love it but i'd recomend a 330 if you can find one for a good price. As someone who has driven both the 320 does pull nicely and its no slouch but the 330 is wayyyyyyy more fun. I'm getting the 320i for my girlfriend and then i'm saving up to get myself a clean 330i.
Pěkná jízda. Jak uděláte tak plynuly "slide" bez trhnuti volantu, spojky a s timto vykonem? Mám to stejné a v zatáčce nic nic, pak se to utrhne (pripadne lehce rozhodím), dám kontra ale výkon to uz ve smyku neudrží a s trhnutím se auto vrati zpět do stopy. Případně se začne přetáčet úplně. Vám, jako mistrovi volantu dle ostatnich videí, to jde s úplnou samozřejmostí, co děláte vy tak dobre a ja tak mizerne? 😁 sedan, 225 hankook v12 (nejsou nic moc)
What a nightmare to drive on a long trip.. Almost 3.000 rpms in 5th gear already at 100 km/h.. My Mercedes E200 diesel with only 136 hp, goes 200 km/h! with 3000 rpms.... !!
Tbh in the UK any 330ci is a breeze to drive for long periods, so enjoyable and returns approx 32mpg with a fairly relaxed right foot, a bit more with cruise control
Furt po ní koukám... myslíš že má cenu dát přednost tomuhle před OPC Astrou G? :D co na to koukam tak OPC má o 1s rychlejší 0-100 ale nemá top speed, nemá ani tak pohodlnej interiér (mam atm Géčko, ale furt se mi to sere) a hlavně je to lehčejc upravitelný a dílů je víc :D Ceny jsou teď zhruba i podobný a pojištění mně vyjde nastejno :D
@@muldix e46 jsem řídil s 2.5 a úpravama od AcS a zdálo se mi že to auto je těžký, ale neni to nic co by se nedalo vydržet Géčko se mi zdá dost vyvážený, ale co si budem, dneska už je to FWD shitbox a furt se to sere a ta chassis už podle mně tou opc by znala svuj limit Teď jsou hlavně fakt pěkný kousky tý E46 za malý peníze z ničeho nic a víc a víc mně to láká Mám k tomu ještě Dailynu takže tohle by byla fakt spíš jenom fun car než usable :D Jo a k tý opc modrý... 👌👌👌 ale bohužel tu nejsou na prodej :(

Yes, id suggest an 330 or something too, the only problem with them is the high milage early year e46s that is in ok price, if u want an for example 330 with lower milage and 03-04 especially with the M packet u will need to pull up your big wallet. While 320 with M packet with low milages and 03-05 is in ok price still (also Leif i didnt know u were in to e46s;))

Personally I would want a manual but word goes around bmw’s automatic gearbox is far better than their manuals… don’t know if it also applies to the older models.
@@MartinJones123 it depends on the model, the gs5 transmissions have their problems, but those were only on the diesel engines and the m52b28tu and m54b30
@@MartinJones123 worth mentioning that the big problem with these transmissions is no mechanical failure in the transmission itself, its more of a comfort problem. the gear lever pretty much gets stuck in the 5th gear lane and doesnt go back in its neutral position between the 3rd and 4th gear by itself. fixing it is not that expensive when it comes to the faulty parts but you have to remove the transmission from the car.

according to official data 320i does 0-100 in 8.2 seconds, stock 320d takes 8.9 seconds - and the petrol is much faster above 100 km/h. The only boring thing here is your sh1tty diesel. Enjoy your tractor sound!

Diesel cars has more torque than fuel ones. This is why diesel can reach higher speeds with lower RPM's
If you like tractor sound and low rpm.....then diesel is for you.
