Max, you are a DIY'ers hero! Showing us what you have done then have Jeff critique it plus asking even more questions that we wouldn't know to ask. This and your video on your Kitchen reno have awesome content...Thank You!!!
Love this one. Max has very practical questions that anybody starting renovations are asking themselves (or should be). His work is simple but improves tremendously the house.
This is one of THE BEST channels on UTube. GREAT VIDEOGRAPHY-FABULOUS INFORMATION. Congratulation the completion of all your work-THANK YOU for sharing. Bless your families!!
Thank you for the kind words I am glad you enjoyed the video. Lots more to come including finishing Jeff's farm house and anther episode part of this house. The kitchen was the last item on the list and you will see how we remodeled it soon. Hope you stick around cheers!
Good stuff guys my wife and I just bought our first house. Can’t wait to get the keys so we can start transforming our home. Thanks for everything that you do
Max is a great humble guy. he gave Jeff a lot of respect for all that he has learned from him over the years, and even asked him for his honest opinion about what he could have done better about his remodel. Great video! and you guys make a good team
I am absolutely obsessed with this channel and wish I had found it sooner as I have remodeled and renovated my home over the past 16 years and all this info would have made my work much easier and quicker. I am a huge fan of people helping out other people and Jeff is just that. Totally "binge watching " all the episodes.
That's awesome Kevin we are so happy to hear. We have been working hard behind the scenes to make it "binge" worthy. Stick around as you'll see the episodes evolve into the next level of practical information, design ideas and of course some entertainment. Thanks for watching cheers!
Congratulation Max on the remodel of your home, it came out great. Something to be proud of for all the blessed years you and your wife will enjoy for a long time. Beautiful job. Cheers!
Thank you for those 3 years, i learn so much watching you. I have so much fun with my wife remodeling our home( almost finish too) and a little sad too, nothing to do....keep the good work.
You are a true professional! Can I ask you how many years did it take you to get this far? I am aware you never stop learning but to phrase it another way when did you consider yourself qualified?
You did a wonderful job! My first job is alot harder. Granted once that is done it will be alot easier. Kudos once again! Blood Sweat and Tears! Will make you proud! You Proved that!
Lol! Didn't you hear it took me 3 years? I think if I did this for a living the clients would die of old age before I got anything done. Glad I'm a camera man and not a contractor! Thanks for the nice comments and for watching. Cheers
@@SubdivisionAuto Really love the bedroom, could you tell me what the darker 'blue' paint code / name is in the bedroom? That'd be perfect for one of mine and struggling to find a match that'd look as good.

He's going to be working on a new series called What Would Jeff do and that is going to be a big part of it. Once covid calms down hes going to be traveling to members houses and doing just that.
Wow! Great job there Max. Love those beams in the Dining room. Would you have a video or instructions on how you fixed it up there? And also the Stain color etc.
Thank you. Honestly I am sorry I am not the How to guy that would be my main man Jeff. But if your wondering how I just found the joists and used 8" Headlock structural screws to put them on. Just pre-drill the beam, find the joists (my house didnt have any strapping for some reason so I had to go into the joist instead) and bam drive it in. The stain is a "Bartop Finish" found at Home Depot. Its the stuff you see at bars and restaurants on the tables. Hope this helps cheers.
Honestly we just put that together in a weekend. Not much to it just put the rocks in, raised the center up with some scrap wood we had lying around, lined it with thick landscape cloth and added dirt.
Thanks Jerry. Well if you do make sure to send some before and after pictures and they'll post it on Instagram or Facebook. And yes she did like it and it has since grown on me (chandalier).
It's not even something we planned, it's something we did overtime because we realized renovating was not the answer. And to be honest we could not be happier! Simpler is better. But this ins't always the case... if you watch Jeff's farm house there is no way they could have done this. That house is a total gutt and rebuild. new episodes every 2 weeks
Beautiful house. Great works. May I ask what kind of the hardwood floor on your living room? It looks fanstastic. The fireplace is so well done. Great great work bro!
Thanks Andy. Its actually a lamiante by Torlys. It was there when we bought the place and I dont recommend laminate its not durable and it has to be ripped out due to all the damage. (scratches so easily and absorbs water)
Hi Jeff, there is a big problem with the sound deadening between the office and kitchen. Matt said that his wife was working, but with kids comes a problem and that is they need supervision, so someone is going to have to watch the kids and that does not work if he is downstairs with another solid wood door, his wife is at work what would he do with the kids, and as you or your wife will remember kids take over everything and need at least 29 hours a day to control.
Love the living room wall what did you use on it? The wall with the TV. LOOKING FOR THAT EXACT SAME LOOK! Lobe the channels have been following you guys for awhile now! Please keep it up.
As it turns out, my husband and I are "remodelers" not "renovators". At any rate, we did a lot of the things you've been advising and we have been able to do the work ourselves. Thus, saving a lot of money.
Glad you guys figured it out Suzanne. Renovating is not for everyone and at the same time it's not always necessary. As soon as you start dealing with things like structure and mechanical it's a big endeavor. Of course for people like Jeff it's no big deal and thus he is doing a LOT of that in the new episodes in his farm house. Hope you check them out
Im guessing you dont have to speak to your neighbor much when you have a fence already...when we just want to replace it. We do want to eliminate spaces from the fence and replace it to 6ft vs 3 or 4 ft now.
Might be, but honestly it's so much better than it was and we are enjoying every minute living here at the moment. Good thing about these type of cosmetic remodels is they are easily replaceable. Keep watching you may see some more in the future...
Just an aesthetic personal choice, this isn't an "american" thing. It looks like it's trying to be a weathered look... I kind of agree that it isn't particularly working though. It looks more like a door that didn't finish getting painted than a distressed original door.
