@@RivertonPianoCompany if I am looking for only piano sounds nothing else, will it work also? Or I should look for different bands? . Btw thanks for quick response
Our advice is in the video. The RP701 isn't fully modeled. It doesn't offer the customizability or performance that the HP702 does. It has similar features, but - side by side - the 702 is the better sounding piano by far. The 702 also has the in-home 10yr warranty (vs the 701's "carry in" 5yr warranty) and that is worth alot right there. The 702 has a better bench. We also offer our Roland Owner's Club program with it (we do not offer that on the 701)... It's definitely worth the price difference.
Not sure where you are getting your pricing, but there *shouldn't* be a $1000 difference between the two. The reason we are comparing them here is because we get a TON of questions about these two. They look similar and people want to know the differences. We're just answering those questions here. Thanks for watching!
@@RivertonPianoCompany That's my bad, I was looking at the prices on Google which puts the price difference at $870. I still think that you made a good video and I liked hearing about the differences. It is hard to know when you are really getting the value for the money without videos like these. Keep it up!
Thanks, Spark! We do our best to present the info so folks can decide which piano makes sense for them. Thanks for the encouragement and for stopping by! We appreciate you!
in germany the hp 702 costs 1500euro and the rp 701 only 1300euros. the first minute of the video was the reason why i searched for a video like this. i thought both of them have the same sound and two downfacing speakers
Are these the rosewood or contemporary black color? Thanks!
Rosewood. The pianos in this video are rosewood.
Excellent news. Thanks 😊
Thanks for watching!
can you use device withou the app?
You can definitely use both pianos without the app... but the app adds features and (in the 701's case) more sounds to the mix.

You're welcome. Almost no digital piano has just piano sounds. They all offer other instruments as well.
Hi! I hesitate a lot between HP702 and RP701. HP702 seems better but TP701 is newer… Any advise for me?

@@RivertonPianoCompany Thank you. I was wondering if your advice stays the same one year later. It is. So, I'll try to find a HP702. Thanks!
Yep. We're BIG fans of the HP, LX and GP series from Roland. The RP series is great, but it's not quite at that level.
HP702 Already
We agree!
Amplification different..
Yes. Good point. The HP-702 has a slightly "louder" sound system than the RP701. Thank you for watching!
Why compare these 2? There is a $1000 difference between the 2 models. There is little to no chance that he RP-701 could out perform the HP-702.

Thanks, Alpay! Glad the video helped. The two pianos have very different sound chips, but very similar speaker systems. Thanks for watching!
