I've been watching Lady K to learn how to sail and get into boating for live aboard in Seattle, and now you're getting into my world of land vehicles and construction. I would love to help out in any way I can, so let me know if you need any!
Great Idea- thought the same, why buy an RV when an empty cargo van or truck can double as a camper or transport bulky things. My RV was big but one could not get anything through the small door.
Like all your sailboat stuff as I am also a sailor, a Pearson 28-2 on Lake Champlain but I am also a Jeeper and really love the sleeping and work where you travel. I will be watching this new station and Lady K as well.. keep it coming..its fun to watch and always learn something, Sir. Keep it all honest and real...my daughter and I watch your Content. Much appreciated....👍
@@billhooperoutdoors yup they are a wonderful sailboat. I think ours is also a 1976... she is a beautiful sailing machine. We pulled off the old jib and put a 150 percent Genoa and she really moves fast. With the Yanmar motor..we go almost a whole summer on one tank... do you have any wisdom concerning the Pearson....we are always looking to learn from others....👍
Tim, love the plan but if you’re thinking about visiting the western US may I suggest a trailer hitch for that Gold Wing in your garage. It would be a major asset while Charlie rests his wheels in a camp ground for the day. Iv been all over the west on a Harley and there is no better way to travel and see the country.
My friend has a big one of these things and literally carries her motorcycle with her, so it's pull up power up, roll the bike out, and go zoom out on the bike if you want anything, rather than have to take it. People put cars on the back too... But it's vulnerable..
Subbed. I;m vanlifing already in my Ford Transit (while saving for a boat). Be interesting to see what you come up with. As I'm sure you realize...the box truck has HUGE advantages for building, given that it has flat sides. Building in a van is much like a boat...everything is curved. Templates out the ass. Have fun with being able to use 90 degree angles!
Had you thought about putting the batteries in a box under the body? Northern has a 4 ft box Item# 52160 that looks like it would hold several batteries. Same question about water tanks. I thought I heard you say that these were going inside under the cabinets? Anyway, good luck!
What is the deal with all these people building RV's like they don't exist already? Am I missing something? I know if I have a sailboat, the last thing I'm doing is driving around these shitty roads in a delivery van. Help me understand.✌️
Looking forward to seeing how this comes together!

Can't wait to see the build and where Charlie takes you.
If you ever need a place to park in Connecticut, hmu.
Nice new project
Thanks 👍
Let’s get to it! Fire up the circular saw!
Hi Tim. This is a very cool project!
Hi from Toronto!

Already subscribed. Tim, can't wait to see how you do it. I'll be doing the same things soon
Thanks! Let have an adventure!!!
LOVE IT !
Looking forward to all of these video's! Come on down to south west Florida and I have a great place to park Charlie.
Deal!

Right?! I weighed the options for years. Settled on the 16’ box for all those reasons.
Hi Charlie! 🎉
I am currently trying to figure out how to do a stealth camper trailer right now so I was very happy to see this over on Lady K Sailing 😅
Have you read “Travels With Charlie”. ? Good book
Absolutely!! 👏
Bear in mind that a stealth truck might also be more ideal than a college dorm room...just saying.
I've been watching Lady K for years ( and recently Hitroysea) and love your content. I'm excited for your next project. All the best!
Awesome! Thank you!
That's not a boat! ✊🏻🏴
Don't forget to find a way to put a couple of stealth cameras on there so you can monitor the outside if you hear something goin' on out there.
This is what I suggest to the young people I work with. Forget a 3-4K a month mortgage. Build a tiny house!

Hope it has a lift gate , so ya' got a place for sun downers 🥃
Are you going to make an access to and from the cab?
A man with a plan, looking forward to the build Tim!

Trailer hitch and dinghy crusier and you will be living my life
Has a hitch! I was pleasantly surprised. I can tow the laser or the cl14 👏 won’t be able to see them but, I can tow them 🤪

I hope to be doing something similar with an 18,000lb, 23-passenger bus.
Let's eat this elephant together !!

It’s all about the enjoyment of building exactly what you want, how you want it.
I need office space more than anything and haven’t found an rv to accommodate my editing rig sadly
I'm excited for a new channel! "Travels with Charlie" was one of my favorite Steinbeck books. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travels_with_Charley
