You're speaking of the Perry nuclear power plant. Lived within 25 miles of it. The kids that grew up within 40 miles of that thing had 6 times higher incidences of cancer and other diseases than normal. This is coming from an Ohio native that's in her mid 50's. A LOT of sh*t was swept under the rug back then.
At a farm in Kirtland 5 people were killed in the barn. Jeffrey Lundgren was the cult leader. In 1989 he and his followers murdered Dennis and Cheryl Avery and their three daughters.
I’ve been to helltown many times at night. It is eerie but nothing else. Also Mansfield reformatory is the location where Shawshank redemption was filmed
There's a house on main street in Ripley ohio that is now owned by a single lady that is super haunted ... She just deals with it... the spirits do things like stack all of her books from the library at the bottom of her steps ... The people who owned it before her didn't last but a few months ...😂
I live near Circleville and they just walked the sheriff out of office a month or so ago. Don't worry it was administrative leave so he was getting paid. I haven't herd anything else about it.
3:53 you didn’t quite get it. She wondered off often she did this to try and leave. She got into the attic area that wasn’t being used at the time due to it being cold and winter. She froze and passed. They found her when the temperature warmed up. Her body leaving a permanent discoloration were she last lay.
My husband and I live in Ohio. I've heard of some of these places and really hope to visit them!! I've always been interested in the paranormal, more so since I was diagnosed with brain cancer 🎗️🤕. My husband however has different feelings about it. We've been together for 20 years total and he would take me if I really want to go 😊
The band I used to manage filmed a video at the reformatory. Holy crap is that place haunted. Disembodied voices yelling. Cells slamming shut. Disembodied foot steps walking up and down halls and stairs.
I was born and raised in Marietta, OH. Athens was known by us, as children, as the "Crazy House". When someone did something less than intelligent, we'd say they would end up in Athens.
I live in the rubber city, which is not far from Helltown (Boston Mills) in CVNP. there used to be an industrial waste dump which operated from somewhere between 1940 to 1948 until at least sometime in the mid 80s nearby; that became a superfund site a little bit later (Krejci dump and scrap yard for those unfamiliar with the area). my GF is currently a freshman at Ohio University and is very familiar with the haunted buildings on campus
I and a roommate lived in a duplex with two spirits. We called one ' Elizabeth' and the second 'The Mister'. The house was demolished in anticipation of an expanded hospital auxiliary project area. Another presenter who didn't do a more thorough research on pronunciation. The county is pronounced kai-ya-hoe-guh (Cuyahoga).
Akron, OH is home to a goblin like creature that lives in an attic on Lloyd St . He has scabs on his head and is hunched over, you can smell him from miles away.
Helltown also holds a satanic church and cemetery. As well, Athens is beautiful but badly haunted. From the Ridges to several places on OU campus. I loved living there.
I used to live in Athens... Almost everyone we knew from the time is dead. 3 of them died while still in Athens. You can feel the difference in the air depending on what part of town you are in. Our roommate even killed himself in our house at the top of Lancaster street. Come on down for Halloween 🎃 ❤🤪
LETS GO BOTN MILLS!! lol seen a weird wendigo thing hiking with friends once, lol and the way he said Cuyahoga XD lots of haunted places in and around helltown
Took me a sec to figure out what word you were trying to pronounce at 2:27. Should sound like KI-ya-HOE-ga. I'd never know how to pronounce it if I hadn't heard someone say it.🙂
James, I'm impressed with your pronunciation of some of our Ohio towns. Well done.
