I purchased BFD3 at a mega discount price and thank god i didn't pay the "RRP"! I havn't even used it yet and I've had to authorise it every time I open the bloody thing. Tried again today and get this message - "thee was an issue retriving your list of products.. our server was unable to process the request" . I have to say anything I have bought via the InMusic brand has always given me issues before i use the software. This 90 day authorise nonsense is maybe why it's at rock bottom pricing... Definitely not recommended so far..
Same here. I was a huge fan of BFD but since inMusic bought it its garbage. Its a horrible experience having to spend hours reinstalling everything every two months because the licensing setup is such broken trash.
0:20 *You'll be able to use your products offline for 90 days only, at which time you will need an internet connection again, as the LM will need to re-authorize your products again because unfortunately there is a lack of trust with this company. If after 90 days you do not go online, all of your BFD products will cease to work.
Hi Dave! Yes, at 1:16 it's mentioned that the BFD License Manager checks in automatically every 90 days to re-authorize your products, and that an internet connection is needed for this check-in to be successful. This is simply a by-product of how the BFD authorization process functions.
Well it's not a 'by product' of the way it works, you've designed it to work that for whatever silly reason, it didn't work that way before since BFD1, only since inMusic took control. And the website has only just been updated to reflect the change AFTER user complaints. Also at no point did you, inMusic, ask for existing users to agree to this new system in a check box when the LM was updated, which is illegal BTW

While I haven't wasted any time on your accusation, I'd believe strongly, that there is a stipulation, somewhere that says "BFD has the right to update, alter, change at any given stage to improve software ... ". InMusic (or equivalent) owns the software, your are licensed to use it. So many overconfident part time musicians. So many full time cheaters and thieves I'd prefer BFD to stay afloat, then to die from software theft.
It's broken on Windows 11 Pro. The sounds don't play when key mapped correctly. The Groove player seems to work but you can't record because of the same problems using it as edrums.
Don't.. BFD used to be good. I bought BFD 1 and BFD 2. BFD cheated me out of the $50 upgrade to BFD. It's taken me days to get some one on there stupid 'chat support' One tech support disconnected me in the middle of a procedure cause it took me longer than 40 seconds. He messaged me, that since it took me over 2 minutes to respond (which it didn't) He closed the case. Then of course I had to waste a lot of time, because no one answered tech support chat. The 90 day re-license is COMPLETE BULLSHIT. Been over two weeks; still struggling with installing Horse Power, the free drumkit. I didn't do anything different other than download VFD License manager over 6 times. I think the server uploading the drums is extremely overloaded, or breaks down. If I go thru any crap re-licensing it after 90 days. I'll just erase this of RAID system and call it a $100 lesson to NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM BFD again. The sound is decent, but I've gone thru $300 of AGGRAVATION.
