At Mahabodhi, Leh, Ladakh July 23-Aug 10

Leh-Ladakh, a district of Kashmir, nestled in the Himalayas, borders Tibet on East & Pakistan on West. Ladakh means land of mountain passes or Little Tibet is situated on an elevation of 3417m/11,720ft. Stayed at Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, a big humanity project that sits on a 250 acres land. It provides shelter for poor kids, visually impaired kids, senior citizens and even have a girls & boys hostel, plus hospital. Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasenas vision of a literate and developed Ladakh, enhancing the welfare of Ladakhi especially the children can be seen from the centre here. The Centre depends a lot on donation, volunteers, sponsorship of the kids or/and participation by staying at the guest house and in attending the meditation and yoga classes. These funds will assist Mahabodhi to keep the centre running and hopefully in future the centre can be self-sufficient with more tourists knowing of the guest house and the classes offered by Mahabodhi. Ladakhis love han chinese people because of our similar buddhist culture..
Infact we have more similarities with han chinese culture than indian culture..
