“You could shave your head and rap like Tupac” that aged well!!!!🎉🎉
and DID! and her look after that was like EXACTLY!
16:58 (I love her side eye right after he says it lol)
@@jerrysizzler44 she was already planning a shift in her career and now we’re here ♥️
worked out
A rare interview with a female artist where its all about her work n music instead of tight clothes or diet. 👏
Or beef
@@rick-kg2fk exactly abt say same
it was so calming and genuine to see something like that
Looking for this comment before i wrote similar. Great work from Ebro to give her space to say something real.
I second that and also for someone who has no musical background.
It's Her Planet, we're just living in it
It’s her planet, Planet Her 🪐💕
literally
@@virgob7322 thank god someone understands me
I love that
@@BlueBlues9 you feel me though!!!!
She’s so eloquent and well spoken. Everything she says has intent and heart behind it. I’m so glad I discovered her years ago before she blew up, it’s been one of the greatest things to watch her reach such great success and mainstream popularity. Also props to the interviewer he asked great questions.
"I can only start from where I started". "I was, like, on the internet, like, on UA-cam, like, looking for music and stuff". So well spoken and eloquent...
@@mightytaiger3000 my thoughts exactly. She sounds so rehearsed, she has no original thoughts and therefore cannot articulate, expound, and focus on the questions Ebro asked her.
@@mightytaiger3000 LOL 😆 😂 🤣 Like/Like/Like/Like/Like/Like/Like 🥱 I hate it when people/anyone uses Like or Erm as a conversational crutch. Definitely not eloquent!!
@@Katie-bt2nt Actually like lol it's an LA or California thing like lol New Yorkers say "know what I mean" every other word. 😄
Same here. I became a fan after hearing "Nunchucks"
“Youre so new”
Doja to herself: “this is my third studio album but ok”
I think he meant new to the mainstream industry like the general public just found out Doja was that girl remember she just got nominated for Best New Artist last year
i feel like that’s such a compliment…she seems so new but it’s just her versatility between all the albums/songs shes released/performances it’s like a breath of fresh air
@@samuelsmalls6288 exactly what i thought!
"Its late or never"
I'm dead
This interviewer is amazing, he didn’t annoy me once.. he’s immersed in what she has to say.. and asks all the right questions. I love the ebb and flow of this entire interview. I just love Doja.
And his name is even Ebro. Lol
he is a podcaster.. doja listens to his shows and he has interviewed her before.. He knows her well
In this moment, I get the feeling that Doja Cat is becoming one of the greats. She pointed out Michael Jackson and Prince, and I already feel as though she is elevating to that level. Her voice alongside SZA and Ariana Grande demonstrates her singing ability. Let’s not forget how the recent live performances highlight her music production and skill in dance. With the release of Planet Her, it has established Doja Cat, creating a vision for success comparable to her idols. Can't wait to see what she does next!
Would love to see them together
WOAHHHHHHHH. RELAX. Doja literally just got on, she definitely is not at all close to getting to MJ or Prince, but she IS getting better. I wish the best for her :)
@@oscar2k755 hahaha I know - but the evolution since moo, alongside the consistency + frequency she delivers with her live performances is promising 🙏🏽💓
exactly!
Couldn't agree more. She's a living legend.
She’s too gorgeous like I can’t handle this
We are all trying to cope. Its hard, i totally understand lol 😍😍😍
I kept thinking perfume/makeup line commercial while watching her. It would be a shame if somebody doesn't take advantage of that.
She literally looks like Charmisse from Family Guy. Please stop overreacting

omg the look on her face when he said "you could shave your head bald" like she was already planning on it. yesss i love iiiiit
I really liked this interview. I feel like Amala is going to become someone really important in my life, as an artist and as how she's presenting herself to us (idk if that makes sense, english is not my first language. sorry) I think she's an amazing person, and I hope to see more great stuff from her in the future. love u doja 💗
It makes a lot of sense actually, I'm also in the process of getting to know her, and it seems like there's a lot about her that we don't know yet
Coming thru loud and clear, babe
Me too
Purrr
It’s does baby😊 I understand completely! &’ relate as well . You really done said everything I was thinking !
You know we get to see Doja online being this goofy, fun and all but I know that she's been through a lot too, that she's a person as well, and so hearing her opening up more about her past and her life experiences that made her a Woman (pun intended) that she is right now makes me really happy. *She deserves everything.*
Doja got that suite life of zac and Cody’s mom hair 😂
and she looks stunning😭 like HOW
@@mauritius7152 she always does!
Doja Martin 😅
No lol it’s a mullet
the way she talked about mj and Ariana warms my heart. also the fact that MJ will forever inspire other artists is amazing. he’s a king, forever
Kudos to the interviewer. His passion for music really shows
That's Ebro. You should listen to his radio show.
When she is so open about her having not many friends but being picked by producers, how she felt really fortunate, it was really something to be happy about.
Like how she manage to disclose her inner self, her past experience, her road to success, not bragging and mature with language.
She is my proud LIBRA.
I didnt knw she was a libra
Thats make sense, libra are very intelligent
Doja Cat has some of the best interviews. They ask her meaningful and deep questions and she answers with intelligence. She can turn off and on her sense of humor and be mature and respectable when needed. I just keep getting more impressed by her. I appreciate also the respect that these interviwers show her. She is the only artist that has made be interested in her creative process and the team behind her success. I follow her team and I am impressed with all that they do and how well Doja and them work as a team. I can hear her talk about her process all day long. I wish a 2 hour documentary was made for every album release of doja cat.
ALBUM OF THE YEAR
So many different genres and styles here, all of them are great and perfect thank u Doja ☺️
I really enjoyed Ebro's interview style, he didn't speak over Doja or ask her dumb questions that most female artists get stuck with. He seemed genuine in listening to her and just adding in little bits here and there. Such a breath of fresh air.
I wish they asked her about the Deluxe tracks as well
This was the day the album came out. The deluxe was two days after
She is someone that made me realize that charting isn't everything. At first, I used to think that if the debut album didn't hit No.1, you aren't going to be successful. Amala was at 468 and Hot Pink at No.2 this is her time now. She didn't let the hate get to her and her efforts are finally coming through. I love Planet Her and it has one of the best songs of all time.
Hot pink debuted at 7, Planet her was the album to hit 2
Love this! Interviewer was really respectful, not asking any inappropriate questions and doja seems comfortable :).
the minute she said that the second verse in woman is the best thing she wrote i was yaaas. my favorite. inspiring, so fun to sing. so powerful mssg.
Yup, for her to say that, it felt so validating. Amazing verse and track.
That haircut is everything
Issa wig
It looks like she scalped Miley cyrus
She's got some Alyssa Milano vibes with it:)
Doja planet her era is definitely going to be one of the most important eras of her career
Doja does really good interviews, she's an interesting artist.
Doja she dope she got a prefectural style and mastered it
One of my favorite women. Album of the year. Lyrics, Versatility, Creativity and Talent out of this world (no pun intended)
This is the first in depth interview I’ve seen from doja and I’ve always felt like she was special but after hearing this she really is so unique. It’s crazy she didn’t even start music until 16. That’s some gifted type stuff.
Love her dearly. This was such a refreshing interview, where for once the artist doesn't seem like theyre being preyed on by the creepy interviewer. Pure artistry and maturity. Love love love
Dude Ebro is such a good interviewer and Doja is such an honest and vulnerable creator. I love this interview
i don t think she understands that we love her
I d0nt either
I remember a good friend of mine telling me look up Doja Cat, your going to love her. And one of the first songs of hers I heard was "Go to town" and I feel in love with her music ever since. She's intentional and playful, fun and unserious/but serious at the same time. There really is no one, no one at all on the market like her. Not only that but her online presence is something new that just sort of mash ups being an internet personality and a real celebrity all at the same time, and I've never seen that before. She is like a new standard. And Im out here cheering her on. I've got planet her on repeat, and on every Playlist there seems to be at least a few of her songs sprinkled in there. I really cannot wait to see where she goes from here, and am always excited to hear the next new stories and persona's she's going to create.
the first doja cat song i heard was go to town too and ive been obsessed with her since lmao
Go To Town is my happy song 🤗
I glad I became into Doja. She makes very dope music and and I like her artistry and versatility. Planet Her is a incredible album.
She speaks at such a perfect pace and super well spoken... love her
i love her courage, freedom, honesty, uniqueness, and just her voice that speak out anything good or bad or perfect or imperfect.
*PLANET HER IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL ALBUM!*
He's a great interviewer. He really did the research.
Sometimes he asks questions that sound speculative about her process and she lights up like "you get it!"
Woman is one of my favs. The lyrics are everything. This whole album shows so much growth and creativity. I heard sounds from her I would have never expected Been like this is such a creative shift👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love her so much so talented album on repeat !!!!
Seriously Planet Her is the first album since Black Eyed Peas' Elephunk that i like EVERY. SINGLE. SONG. on the album. My jaw kinda dropped listening Planet Her for first time.
She chooses her Album cover by herself. That's amazing
I hate how now that she's so popular a lot of people judge her decisions and her relationships. When no one knew her she would always go live and talk to her fans and now she feels like she has to be private because of how many judge her.
Yesssdd
She did say in one interview she jokes a lot to protect herself but she actually takes things to heart sometimes
She is really making waves slowly and steadily now. Hearing artist like Mable mentioning Doja in the song shows that she means something.
always love her unique
It’s insane stillnow she stills posts on soundcloud to this day occasionally just bc she wants To it’s so humbling
I relate to her so much when she talks about her youth, she truly is so inspiring ❤️ my wifey forever.
I'm literally obsessed with Doja ❤Love from South Africa 🇿🇦❤
Doja Cat is actually smart, this interview proves that she is well versed in the art of music. She has done her research before coming into the industry. Over here talking about Michael Jackson and Prince.
ACTUALLY??!

Why would she not be smart :/
watching after the scarlet tour announcement!!! 🩸🖤
She seems like such a cool chill person. Very honest, sincere with no pretenses.
I love her personality it’s bestie energy
love how genuine and chill she is
She is so realllllllll🥺
The album has been on rotation since it came out my gaawwwd it’s so good
i really admire and respect the way she thinks you can tell she's going places so proud of how far she's come
When Doja comes to South Africa imma 😭😭😭❤️
Agree.
wena, she should come fully dressed as Izanghoma , complete with the traditional Pipe .
I AM that super fan that’s going through the exact same thing she was going through , at the exact same time in my life . 11th grade , 16, isolated , low self esteem , self identity issues through the roof . Insanely believing no one wants to hang out with me and feeling unimportant even suicidal (me ), not saying Doja was suicidal but I’m going through it . It’s insane cause I still have all these feelings at 17:( I hope I reach to her level of success bc I’m feeling really hopeless rn
14:40 the inflections in her voice when speaking showing glints of her vocal ranges - so dope
16:58 foreshadowing
my jaw dropped 😂
i love how respectful and chill the interviewer was 💗
She is very powerful, talented, tender, cute, omg Doja cat is everything!🪐♥️
This girl is amazing. Can’t wait to see what Doja does next.
love this interview soo much i just love listening to doja talk esp about just the things she cares about with her music. one of my favorite projects released this year & im so proud of her
Doja is the queen of the game right now.
I love the mullet!
It does look good on her I hope she can keep it
Mullet and blonde it’s intentional. IndyEinstein on Twitter.
she's really come so far omg i love her sm
i love doja SM and how shes shared her amazing songs, expanding pop culture. also how relatable she is when she just started making music.
I really loved this interview. It’s so interesting see more Doja’s personal side!
Literally not doing homework or going to school with few friends and an artistic personality as well . It’s insane how we have those on common . I love her to death
She is so amiable, gentle, and affable.
19:25 doja literally trying to hide her laugh is so cute 😂
Omggg she’s so artistic I love her
I love her sincerity.
i love this interview so much, im so proud of her
loooove the JID and Smino shoutout! real rap real legends
Great interview! Doja Cat is always impressing me! She's a rare artist that I'm so blessed to be able to witness grow! From her incredible visuals in her videos, to how she will slide on a beat with her verses, to her fashion sense, there's just so much to enjoy! I love Doja as an artist. So glad to be a fan! 💗 I hope to see her in concert one day!
Sidenote: her mentioning Prince warmed my heart 💜 ICONIC artist
Much Love to Doja Cat!
rewatching this and the interviewer kind of jinxing shaving her head haha, i love doja cat
this interview was so refreshing. to hear Doja cat talk about music so passionately and the fact she isnt trying to let fame get the best of her shows she is a true artist and does it for the music
i could listen to her talk all day!
This is a phenomenal album. It’s the first of hers I’ve ever bought and heard in full.
i love her so much. she references a lot of the greats and you can tell there’s a lot of musical and cultural influences from her parents having been artists too. as a former dancer turned musician myself there’s a certain connection you have on a physical level beyond just the auditory to the sound you’re creating. she’s proof of that. i like hearing her process and i really love the album the more i listen to it.
I could literally listen to the way she talks all day
Absolutely incredible. I have never commented about an interviewer before. I adore the way the conversation was conducted, and the way the artist was being viewed. Ebro Darden! Thank you for doing this.
doja n ariana is so amazing, i love that friendship 🤍
She has Janet Jackson energy when it comes to visuals.

she's too precious 🥺🥺🥺🥺😫💕
Best album, it’s so versatile 🪐

I really enjoyed this entire interview!
i love these raw interviews amazing
for the topic about doja featuring other artists in her album, she doesn't pick artists just because they're popular and everything, she genuinely chooses artists that match with her songs and it's one of the reasons why I love doja cat
Shoutout Ebro for the questions. Such good interviewing.
