I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer 25 years ago in Honduras, came home and have had a wonderful career teaching environmental education in my local nature parks. Now, as I dream of adventures during my future retirement, I think Peace Corps Response is an amazing option. What an adventurous way to contribute to our planet.

When I turned 18 I was joining Peace Corp and heading to a 3rd world country to rebuild their only bridge that lead them to civilization; then i found out I was Pregnant.
I didn't end up going. I was so upset, but the universe had another plan for me.
It looks like you need a degree or specialty to join. This is sad. I always wanted to do this. I understand the need for degrees, but I have worn many hats and always had a calling to HELP THE WORLD!! 😢😢
