More Full Throttle!: • Full Throttle!
Special thanks to the members of my discord (linked below) who offered to dogfight! Shoutout to the random players who were undoubtedly shocked to see the F-86 in the general guns dogfight arena in the DCS Dogfighters server (my go-to for PvP)! And, for the record, only once was it obvious a person was letting me shoot them down (lookin at you, Wendy!). This really is a very capable aircraft!

So that’s why I keep losing dogfights, I don’t merge inverted :)
Lol
Yes, sir.
At least you can play it, my pc won’t run it
"how did you win that?" - "Because I was inverted" :D
Yea, disregard the fact I don't even know where the keyhole is... the inverted is where the error's at :P
The Roog’s opinion is so valuable it carries two extra Michelin stars.
I built a jet engine for a high school science fair, I used the progression of the P-51 to the F-84 and F-86 to show how the jet engine changed aviation overall. I got an A+.
Ngl that’s epic, deserved every point for the grade you got. If you did not get a 100 I am gonna [REDACTED] whoever gave u a lower grade.
@@invadegreece9281 oh I got a perfect score
@@ihatemegatron216 good
I freaking love the Sabre, the way it handles, its changes from the p-51d, you can really see the progression throughout technology with it, not to mention the menu music SLAPS, my one critique is that almost HALF of the instruments and systems are devoted to 2 other (possibly unnecessary) ways to drop a bomb... I know it's a petty thing but literally other than that, I love it so much.
so it is roog's nation's design that fecilitated f 86. Hail Roog
@Nayana
What kind of dog is Roog, again?
@@ahashdahnagila6884 german sheep herder
I love the format of this video. It realllllly replicates that top gear formula (I know that’s what it’s supposed to be but damn). This video is extremely interesting too, the F-86 feels so iconic even for someone who knows nothing about aircraft like myself.
I love this plane because I could fly it perfectly fine without wings
So could the -pencil- Starfighter. If you lose your elevators, the double flap things take care of lift, too.
Salmon why are you here, get back in the dungeon
@@jerrell1169 hello mother
This was awesome! Keep up the good work!
0:28 Boy this music gave me an instantanious kick back to the many hours of good time I had playing World War II Fighters. And by god I miss this game.
And I believe you would have a great time playing itas well.
There aren't a lot of people who played World War II Fighters here on UA-cam and it would be so heartwarming to see you take on this old gem.
This is truly one of my favourite channels I watch
This channel is so underrated I'm triggered, what is more appealing than a doggo, and airplanes and helicopters.
What's MURICA?
P.S. Looove the over the wing camera work
Slang for the United States of America! Thanks for watchin!
Ohhh yeah I'm British that'll be why
Love your videos!
@@TheMachineGod966 As a little more explanation, it comes from an oversimplified stereotypical Southern dialect/accent. “Ah luv me sum Ah-MUR-ica!” (I love me some America.) If you aren’t sure about the accent, look up the comedian, Larry The Cable Guy for an example.
Many of us have embraced the over the top stereotype. It’s just good fun.
Thanks
Someone get this man into an episode of TGT! NoDak is brilliant!
Yo, they got H-60's in there? I just got those as my platform, and me wants to fly one
It’s definitely not an official module, unfortunately. If there is one it would be a mod made by the community. I’d like to see a full fidelity module (all buttons/levers work and custom flight model) for it as well!
@@NoDakExpress dang, well I'm just a mechanic anyways, but I'll look for a user mod
good morning! love the series so much. tell the roog I said hi
Another great video from Nodak.
You should do the F-108 Starfighter or the MiG-21b next
F-104***
Hey nodak I love the vids keep it up buddy! Wish me luck right now I’m heading to Air Force bmt right now!
good luck!
New vid! Also we’re we going to get a review on the Russian helicopter?
Hey love the video NoDak, but, I have a question for The Roog. Those The Roog allow others to film him. I personally would love to see some more pictures or even videos of The Roog, that's of course if he allows it.
There are a couple shorts of him on the channel! He’s usually out galavanting around the world, so it’s tough to get him on camera! ua-cam.com/video/-FkFYLFTufQ/v-deo.html
I have absolutely plugged your channel elsewhere via stories of the Roog. Always my favorite parts of the video
Really nice video. So I have 2 questions. I'm sorry if he already answered this but how many kills does the f86 have and has it been shot down. Also completely out of topic question why do you lose fuel if you have negative g's. Lastly just a suggestion. You should do a review of the f15.
Yeah it had been shot down in dog fights I dont know the exact number of kills each f89 pilot got. You dont loose fuel for negative g's but you can starve your engine of fuel.
When you go into negative Gs the "apparent" gravity force causes objects to move up rather than down, and thus fuel will slosh inside the tanks and your fuel feeding system will be sucking air. Mind that this happens even in racing vehicles hitting the corners (fuel moves to the sides) and tanker trucks (acceleration and braking causes fuel to move back and forth) so there's slosh baffles inside automobile fuel containers.
There's ways to mitigate it by having smaller separate feed tanks that are always full and the pumps from the main tanks feed those. In gas powered RC aircraft that are used for acrobatics you often see them use a small spherical tank as the engine feed tank, and the larger tanks have clunks, a weighted flexible hose that gets pulled by the Gs along with the fuel and allows you to fly inverted.
@@ChucksSEADnDEAD This is perfect good job.
Best dude i know
I love this format of video! cant wait to see the next one
Full throttle we need it more
How involved was the Roog in the development and testing of the F-86?
Basically all of it, legend says the Roog also helped out the MiG development since they wanted to see them fight in the alley... apparently all "for kicks".
Ruff-ly half.
The guns aren’t EXACTLY the same as the WWII guns, actually. They fire the same BMG cartridges, but the guns themselves are the electrically fired M3 model rather than the older M2, giving around a 50% increase in rate of fire.
Other fun facts:
there are other naval versions of the Saber:
FJ-1 Fury: this was basically the prototype Sabre. It used straight wings, but the performance was solid for an early Jet design
FJ-4: this was a much later, stockier version meant as an all weather fighter. The most common version, the B model, was also a multirole plane, eventually being equipped with some of the first practical AGM’s
One of the designers of this aircraft, Edgar Schmued, was also a lead designer on the P-51 Mustang, and later on the F-5 Freedom Fighter/Tiger II
The F-86D “Saber Dog” was the first USAF Night Fighter to be single seat and single engine, and also marked a turning point for Radar to be later considered semi standard equipment for fighter aircraft
About 10 Sabers were modified during the Korean War to replace the .50 calibers with 4 Pontiac 20mm cannons in a test to potentially upgun future USAF aircraft, “Gunval”. The guns created enough smoke to cause compressor stalls, so the ability to only fire 2 guns at a time was added. Despite teething issues, the test proved the guns to be sufficiently powerful and reliable to be the next main gun for USAF fighters, such as the F-100. This gun would become the M39 cannon, which is still used on some aircraft today where the M61 Vulcan is considered too unwieldy
Those magnificent dogs in their flying machines,
They'll go up to the up, up,
They'll go down to the down, down....
Saw on of these just recently at a Japanese private museum collection as well as a M2 zero!
As the F-15 pilot who flew against you I have no idea how you were able to consistently kill me but you're really good.
You were taking it easy on me :)
The targeting computer for the F-86 is an upgraded computer from the B-29 gunner computers which were incredibly advanced. As close as you could get to point and shoot without having some kind of detection device for distance and speed. (they even have the same sight that changes size depending on the distance of the target)
Yep! The F-86 Sabre JET is what we called them (even when we kids put those plastic models together, in the mid-1950s).
And, then we also had realistic models of the Sherman (Army) Tank.
...I preferred planes, though.
Can we appreciate that he downed a su27 here 5:32
Suggestions for full throttle
F8U Crusader
A-1 Skyraider
OV-1 Mohawk
C-19 Spartan
F-20 Tigershark
F-16XL
F-14 Tomcat and Eurofighter Typhoon would be cool, too
Both the "F-86" and "MiG-15" were based on German technology. The Germans were leading the world in swept wing technology in World War II. Towards the end of the war the Germans were working on the "TA-183" which then became the Argentinan fighter "pulqui-2".
I really love this plane in war thunder, is the best jet of that era .
Great video!
Based on the ME 262.
Gun sight, WW2.
First aircraft to go super sonic two days before Bell X-1
Upon completion of the review before getting the Roog's consensus, the cameras cut and we pick up from the studio, where the excited audience applauses copiously.
Let's go new video
You absolutely still should’ve done the metric corgi volume.
hi nodak
I see your comment in let's game it out video just today
Josh’s videos are awesome!
@@NoDakExpress yeah he is super awesome
I saw you in the dogfight server, but i was too nervous to say hi ;~;
My humble request as a fan of your work, more engine noise and fly bys between lines in the script, please.
your the reason I love planes
The Cessna 177 Cardinal has an all flying stabilator. Not sure why. The 177 was meant to replace the 172, a fantastic, basic airplane very suitable for pilot training. However, the 177 was not a basic, easy to fly airplane. It was not really suitable for flight training.
It is a very pretty airplane though.
Many of the Piper trainers have it too!
can we get a full throttle review of the F-4 now that its in DCS??
Ah my favorite jet
there are some things you can get a program that works with your webcam that tracks your face and can tell where you're looking and translate that in game for relatively cheap. or you can go all out and buy something called "track IR" which should work better but is way more expensive.
it should make dogfights much easier to follow when you're not playing in vr
Makes me motion sick :) I do well with the clicking around on the Hotas! Thanks for mentioning it though! As I fly in real life, moving my head 10 degrees but my field of view moving 30 degrees (as is the case with trackIR) makes me nauseous immediately 😆
P-51d had the same targeting gunsight as the f-86
i love how he played russian anthem at the background secretely lol
Very nice
Not going to lie, I still use my guns most of the time even with the F-14B, and I have a lot of missiles.
The last of the gunslingers
Ngl I thought this was gonna be in war thunder at first
They saber is my favrout plane
Came for the dog stayed for the lore.
Well, you 'are' a pilot!
No doubt about that!
F86 was using a turbojet. Low bypass engine
tldr the Sabre is a beast
The MiG-15 is a bass
Migs for my nation 🇮🇳
Loved the video! What are the number markings on the canopy? Something like an AOA indicator?🤔
Yes it is a basic type of hud for the hsi. The pilot can use those numers and lines to compare to the horizon to know the approximate angle of the plane without looking at the instrument panel.
@@Bendigo1 Ohh Ok, makes sense, thanks!
@@tapan9637 you're welcome. Fun fact, you will also see those markings on some aerobatic planes.
@@Bendigo1 Cool, it's sure very useful for doing precise maneuvers. You learn something new everyday 😄
3:58 you mean it was "paper clipped"
Would an air-to-air victory from a hot air balloon include launching Stingers from the basket?
Can you please make the next vid about the F-4 phantome?
I think a better name for the series would be full afterburner but throttle works fine i guess
F2 was the sabre that broke the migs back and also the mig 15 had better acceleration becouse thrust to weight ratio
BEANZ
I heard that Soviet anthem
Good video but you need some track ir
hay Dak or Roog can you do a review of the swedish Viggen?
Absolutely will eventually! Haven’t bought that module yet!
@@NoDakExpress well make sure that you do because it is a swedish masterpiece I've seen it in real life and the plain is huge
yeah I'm swedish ;)
What if the wings don't have flaps, what if the wing is the flap
Roog vs nodak both in a10
So, what exactly are those numbers and marks for on the cockpit roof?
AV8B pls
Have you ever tried to perform a slide slip in a 767?
Fight growling sidewinder you in f86 and and GS in f14
He’s smoke me - I don’t do content creation full time ;) he undoubtedly knows all the systems and functionality/limits of the aircraft better than I do since I only get to game about 5 hours a week!
The fact that i lost the stream cause my discord got demoted sucks.
Hey😏
Cute doggo what’s his name?
Yo what is the dog you use in your vid?
Let's beleave data from Countrys that put boxes on trucks to make them look like new tanks lol and others that did the same with there jets🤠👍 good data just for shits and giggles what do you actually fly in real life🤔
Just came across your channel. What is this game?
Digital Combat Simulator World! Check out the channel and enjoy! Thanks for watchin!
Hi
So does this mean the 'light sabre' is a light variant? 👀
It is the rgb variant of the f-86.
😁
I know why the roog was banned from Egypt
Good old german engineering.
Just curious, since the comments aren't super crowded. If I say "Hi", can I get a hi back?
