Despite what happened that fateful day, I still hold this theme in positive regard because it was meant to be a theme full of positvitiy and super heroics. Both things Owen Hart himself pocessed. A Hero to many and a man who brought positivity towards others no matter where he went. The Blue Blazer gimmick may not have been the greatest gimmick at the time, but I will not let that incident effect what I feel is an amazing theme bursting with energy. What's done was done and there's no way of changing it nor can we fix it. All we can do as we have done to this day, is move on and I can't speak for anyone else, but I personally will always appreciate the work that had been put into this song for what it was originally meant to be. A positive theme for an amazing Hero.
Yea I noticed too during the Spanish announcers freaking out saying ohhh nooo when Owen fell u could actually here Owen falling to the ring if u listen to the Spanish version of the promo
I remember when I was a little kid when I watched him. I was in elementary school, taking a test. I was sing softly the 'pew pew pew' of this song to myself while I was taking the test. All of a sudden, everybody around me told me to shut the hell up! I didn't realize I was loudly sing this song. Good times. RIP Owen.
Yeah, it's all nightmarish. The last things Owen heard were this theme blasting, probably thousands of people screaming and yelling, and a promo that he eerily began by asking... "Why me?"
Really creepy i just thought, in WWE's video vault where they have tapes of all shows, surely they have original tapes of all theme songs including this one ?
I remember watching WrestleMania V on VHS and seeing Owen Hart/The Blue Blazer come out to this theme for the first time back around 1991-1992 and I love the hell out of this theme. I kept rewinding the video tape so I could here this theme over and over again.
My birthday was six days away when Owen Hart passed away in 1999 I was 6 years old about to turn 7 that year I'll never forget what happened that day when he fell from the ceiling and died in the ring
Owen should’ve never been up in the rafters that night. He could’ve easily played a Kurt Angle heel hero parody character. That’s more or less what the 90’s Blue Blazer was anyway. Owen could’ve done that without the Blue Blazer gimmick.
Gaming Source Owen debuted at wrestlemania 5 with this song and if you don't know when wrestlemania 5 was it was 10 years before he returned the Blazer gimmick
remember kids.. take your vitamins, say your prayers, and drink your milk *Blazer zips off to serve justice* RIP Blue Blazer you truely were The King of Harts
The Blue Blazer wrestled Mr. Perfect at WrestleMania V. It was the only match Owen Hart as The Blue Blazer had at WrestleMania. It was also the first time that Mr. Perfect wrestled in his amateur style wrestling singlet.
+Andrew Moore he was forced into the BB role because he said no to a couple of ridiculous storylines involving the breakup of the Tag Team champs he was with Jeff Jarrett
Not I'm the attitude era, but back in 1989 when he debuted,I loved the blue blazer. Bc I didn't know it then, but it being owen hart. Own was a great in ring performer. I'll always say that in my opinion he was WAY better than Bret. As an overall whole. Including personality.
Adam Bennett dude he was tired of wrestling he wanted to get out of contract.... he hated where business was going with attitude era with porn and stuff. The saddest part he didn't want to BE THERE and got killed doing what he has grown to HATE. He wanted to be a firefighter but didn't get accepted so had to come back to wwe.
Actually many sources claim that Owen Hart unfortunately chose to perform the stunt. It really was a freak accident and it’s a shame we lost him at such an early age
@@bigroaststyrone8135 That's if you want to be literal but actually he was given an ultimatum, either he did the stunt or he would be fired and with needing to support his family he really didn't have a choice.
his final moments were spent being insulted by the announcers over his "super hero" persona. though his last words do show the quality of the man: "get out of the way" plunging to his death his last thoughts were not to fall on anyone. at least that is what the witnesses claim. no footage so no way to know.
Joshua Plotkin There's footage. Martha Hart watched it during the lawsuit proceedings. But, we won't see it. WWE has the tape locked up in the vault in Connecticut.
By the way, Blue Blazer was the one who got me to become Danger Woman, The Songbird Of Justice, in which I use my singing powers and tell kids to do like The Blue Blazer did, say your prayers, take your vitamins, drink that wholesome milk and stay in school! DANGER WOMAN
But fear not because I, the blue blazer will always triumph over evil doers and do you know why, because I always take my vitamins, say my prayers and drink my milk wooooo
Every time I hear the beginning of this theme I think of a turnbuckle impacting and then Owen saying "Why me"
Same
And during one part I think of him saying “Take your vitamins, say your prayers, and drink your milk. AMIGOS. Wooooo!”
“OOOOOH The godfather, JUST SAYING HIS NAME MAKES MY BLUE BLOOD BOIL”
Well TBF that was Owen on the titantron saying that, Owen’s “Last Words” were “Move” to WWF Referee Jimmy Korderas

There is a little of the blue blazer in each and everyone of us.
And remember kids….
Say your prayers
Take your vitamins
and drink your milk
WoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo!!!!!
it's the same tune playing in the promo of his match that night. He died with this being the last thing he heard.
brianintn i bet he slowly heard this song fade away

R.I.P Owen James Hart (1965-1999)
This makes me think of a training montage from an 80's movie
It’s more of a video game
Dead on 😂
1988 street fighter came out too ironic this sounds like a stage theme
This theme sends chills down my spine. Not in the good way either.
Rest well, Nugget.

We all remember Owen. I didn’t know who the Blue Blazer was until the early 1990s, but I watched a LOT in the 80s. Loved him, miss him!😢
Debio ganar el campeonato Intercontinental en over the edge pero murio accidentalmente

It sounds like a bird singing.
He'll no
THE BLUE BLAZER IS OWEN HART (R.I.P)
He used this theme extensively in 1989. I don't remember about when he brought the gimmick back but he always used this when he debuted as the blazer.
That Sunday definitely took us all over the edge.
That stunt should never have happened :’(
The new days logo looks just like the logo on him
Jed Brysh then it's a tribute to Owen hart
Thought it look similar to the Albanian logo weird
Facts
This is haunting me like hes watching me from the darkness
Admit it this even haunts you just by listening to it
its a very uncomfortable theme alone because of the weird 80s vibe it gives but knowing the man died to this song is something else
He's watching you from the rafters
The person it should haunt is Vince McMahon.
@7Mental Bret didn't leave because he wanted, Vince pretty much kicked him out the company.
"Why me?"
Rest In Peace Owen Hart 1965-1999❤️😔
I would argue that this is Infact the most chilling WWF/WWE Theme song to date, Simply because it was playing as a man was falling to his death
i wish he was still alive he died 4 years before i was born my dad told me about this happening to him
It was truly a sad night. I cried the whole show during Raw the next night, Especially when austin gave him a toast to close the show
we miss you Owen 💗😘💞

Andrew Moore wwf or Vince russo
Exactly, Why Couldn't They Let Him Use A Zipline? Oh, Or Even Better, *HIS NORMAL FUCKING ENTRANCE?!*
