  • Welcome!
We are a homesteading, homeschooling family of 7. Due to recent events (job loss/career change, health issues, rising food costs, etc.) we are having a hard time making ends meet despite our best efforts at frugality. So we are tapping into our local food banks to help us feed our family. Come along as I show you what we are blessed with, what we add to it via grocery store and garden, and how I use it all to nourish our bodies.
Thanks for watching and God bless!

I love CLE! We strayed away at the beginning of the school year for something flashier. It didn’t work and became too much. We are small business owners and we don’t have a lot of time to waste on flash and fuss. CLE is perfect for our lifestyle and for my 3rd grader who just wants to get it over with. There are no surprises and he knows what to expect on a day to day. It’s so clearly written. I also love the review and the practice of what he learned. He tends to forget quickly…so the repetitiveness is great for us.

We used CLE for most of our subjects for most of the time we homeschooled. My kids have graduated now but we did homeschool for 12 years. I loved how user friendly it was and that if we had a question I could just call. We did not use the upper level of high school history/social studies due to doctrinal differences. Pathway Readers are excellent.

I don't know how you accomplish so much!
Good job with your home schooling , your garden, taking care of five kiddo's, making three great meals a day and staying in church! All of this and you have health issues to boot. Excellent job with everything!
God Bless You and Your Family!

I highly recommend Saxon Math for mathematical curriculum. I can tell you first hand that the Saxon Math curriculum translates exceptionally well to our universities. I have 3 children in large well respected universities, one of whom is a math major. Saxon Math brought her there. Congratulations on home schooling. It's well worth the effort. God bless

My oldest did CLE math through 600 level then moved seamlessly to Saxon Algebra 1. They are set up nearly identically. Most kids would probably benefit from jumping to Saxon 8/7 OR Saxon Algebra 1/2 first, but take the placement test when you decide to swap.

I wish I would have had this when my kids were young. I had a daughter that was bullied so bad in public school. She is in her 30s now and still has self esteem issues.

We use Mystery of History for history as a family. We also do a lot of read alouds from all over history and the world.
And we use Apologia Science as a family and also enjoy the ocassional lap book/unit study. And we own a lot of science related kids books, atlases, encyclopedias, reference books, etc.

My child is only 2 but knows all his letter sounds and a word associated with each letter a is for apple, z for zebra, etc. He can count to 10. Knows as many animal sounds as I can think of. He sings whole songs and memories nursery rhymes. I am thinking of starting the abc series verbally with him because we are doing before five in a row with him now and it isn't enough like I hoped. I am not pushing him but he has this overwhelming eagerness to learn more and more. The preschool books from what I see won't be enough for him as he knows all the concepts but can't write.

Yes. We usually do a lesson in the K books one day and some pages from the ABCD series the next day. It mixes it up and keeps them interested. The ABCD series has lots of cutting and pasting which my kids love.
