- Inside the deadliest concentration camp of the Second World War were a number of barbaric and brutal SS guards. One of those was Fritz Buntrock, who was referred to as 'The Bulldog,' because of his horrific behaviour. He was responsible for the gas chambers and he oversaw the deaths of thousands of people. He was known for driving people into the chambers, but for his actions he was sentenced to death and he was then executed inside a Polish prison.

The mother of a friend was housed in Treblinka as a little girl during WWII. She and the other Jewish was often fed stale mouldy bread, so much so that she developed a taste for it. She would allow bread to turn and eat it now and then for the rest of her life. She passed around 2007.
My music teacher's wife had been in a concentration camp and lived to tell the tale. She still had the prisoner's serial number tattooed on her arm. She died during the mid-1980's.

I was just stood inside that gas chamber, in my own for about 5 mins. I'm still trying to find the right emotion now. Fear, horror, sadness, anger. Think I feel all of them. But, probably the most creepy thing any person can ever do, knowing what happened in there. I can't sleep.

The sobering and sad reality is that it speaks to the human psyche. The "morals" of the people of German origin are inherently no different than anybody else - consequently meaning that any mass of people can be whipped up into an insular frenzy. Like I said, this notion is a very sobering reality of what humans are capable of, whether good or evil. Only a relatively few individuals with the strongest of conscience can weather the so-called "mob mentality".
Those murderers thought they were correct about everything, so of course they won't repent for anything. Anyone who can even do these things don't believe they have to repent. Their minds were too corrupt and their souls full of the devil. I don't agree with people that say these barbaric humans were just like me or you and it was just a job, just following orders. I couldn't follow those kind of orders. I'd rather go out with a good conscience and my dignity. The majority of the German military were just cowards anyway.
