@@ErikDayneno quarterback is winning last year with the Panthers. Be honest. Mahomes might win 15 games last year with the 49ers (hard to say since it’s a hypothetical but I’ll go with it). Burrow on the other hand probably gets injured with the 49ers 23rd ranked offensive line protecting him. Burrows can’t stay healthy and he definitely wouldn’t with the 49ers offensive line. As for Mahomes I can accept that he might win a couple more games. He’s the best quarterback of his era and Purdy had his first full real starting season last year. The kid is young so that’s not an insult. Also Keep in mind Purdy went 12-4 starting last year as the game they lost to the Rams didn’t have Purdy in where SF played all their second stringers due to the fact they had already clinched the first seed. Mahomes probably would’ve had something similar so he would have an extra team loss on his record despite not playing.
Brock Purdy has been a vital force for the 49ers at QB since his first game with the team! Among his most notable accomplishments is him sending San Francisco to the Super Bowl last season. We expect greater games from Purdy going forward!

Can't imagine Purdy with a great OL like Mahomes, Hurts and Prescott have. That's when u will see the best of Purdys, but 49ers like seeing Purdys run for his life! 😅
Didn’t know what to expect when we drafted him, and I was torn up when Jimmy G was injured during the Dolphins game (I still miss him, he should’ve stayed even as a backup to Purdy), but I’m glad that we got him for ourselves and I’m certain he’ll break the drought one day
If you're still doubting Brock, go back and watch his first start against Tom Brady and the Bucs in 2022, he did everything in that game: improvised a touchdown run, swam over a lineman to make a crazy throw to Deebo in traffic, beat blitz after blitz, and had 2 front corner touchdown passes with defenders in his face. It was insane, no one saw it coming.
He'll continually be overlooked by people who don't watch him or who just want to stick to their original beliefs of him due to his draft status, team he plays for, whatever. Even when there's plenty of tape and players who can and have vouched for him, he'll have people refusing to admit or change their beliefs. And as soon as he has a bad throw or bad game, that's all the ammo doubters need even though he plays well the vast majority of the time. I think he's looking like the best QB the Niners have had in years, but i'm not claiming he's Mahomes or close to him yet. It's one thing to have a great team make you look good, but it's another thing to have the most important position in football make that team look great. It goes both ways people. Niners threw the ball more than EVER with Brock compared to Jimmy or any previous QBs. And Niners didn't have CMC for much of Jimmy's tenure. Aiyuk, Deebo, Kittle, and CMC all had CAREER YEARS under Brock. If Brock wasn't that good, he'd have 1-2 favorites. But for 4 players to ALL have career years? Doesn't that mean Brock's distributing the ball? He's UTILIZING ALL OF THEM and making career years out of them. That's a sign of a great QB.
@user-hj1hy1yg8y First of all no, that was in a collapsing pocket where he couldn't step into his throw, and he still placed it perfect and led Kittle away from the defender; but more importantly the "I could do that" argument is so weak. The dude has been a starting QB since he was 15 years old, where as you obviously quit football at some point because you weren't good enough.
I think people doubting him is exactly what Purdy needs. Seems like the kind of guy that will thrive with that chip on his shoulder. Can't wait to watch him play this season, will be very interested to see what happens when it comes time to pay him.
Brock Purdy since he took over vs Miami, is first in wins, second in touchdowns, second in completion percentage, and first in passer rating and QBR. Only three QBs in NFL history had a higher DVOA rating than Brock’s 2023 season Peyton Manning in 2004/2006, Dan Marino in 1984, and Tom Brady in 2007. Brock also broke the NFL record for adjusted yards per attempt in NFL history, and having the highest passer rating of a two game stretch since 1950, all after tearing his UCL, an extremely rare injury that was to his throwing arm. He lead his team to two NFC championships and one SB, and possibly would have made two SBs in his first two seasons. He’s beat Dak multiple times… once in the playoffs, he beat Hurts and Stafford on the road, and he beat Goff and Love in the playoffs. If you think Brock just benefits from everyone being wide open, or just checks the ball down, Brock was first in tight window throws last year and threw the most deep passing touchdowns and had the highest completion percentage on deep passes. Purdy literally had the most efficient season of all time, and it’s far and away the highest advanced metric season to not win MVP.
He’s not even the best player on his own offense. If anyone should be MVP it’s CMC. He’s actually a great player not just some little kid who’s being carried by the talent around him.

@russ2120 Jimmy G wasn't that bad of a QB. He was decent and the 9ers won games because of him. Purdy is better than Jimmy G, IMO, because of one thing. Pocket presence. Purdy is better at sensing when to bail than Jimmy G did.
I saw an interview with Deebo where he said he's usually not the target on that play, he was just meant to clear defenders out, but Brock saw him get past and went for the killshot.
Brock Purdy was the very last pick in his draft class, so he proved the doubters wrong by going to the Super Bowl. He has improved his game last season.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

What NO ONE mentions is the fact that Purdy had the szn he had coming off that UCL tear to his throwing elbow, barely having any offseason/training camp to work on his game physically. Truly remarkable!
I understand the arguments about the system and the talent around him, but Purdy isn't just doing 5 yrd check downs, shuttle passes or dumping it to the flat, he's making throws down field with timing and accuracy. He's proven beyond a doubt that he's a legitimate, starting QB in this league imo. I think the only question remaining is how well can he read and adjust in game to help his team overcome adversity and deficits. Experience helps a lot in this regard so we'll all get a better idea of his ceiling in the next season or two.

@@ErikDaynebut he even makes the bums look good he gets everyone involved and he makes plays that you wouldn’t even think would be a good idea Brock makes it look good when any other qb would prolly get benched or cut for making bro is truly gifted and definitely a rare type of player
@@ErikDayne that's Cap but okay
@@ErikDayne Simping? Its not like they ranked him No.1 lol. They ranked CJ ahead of Purdy anyway, and the only reason Burrow got ranked below Purdy was because he got injured last season. "If he had less weapons, the team would be worse" is the weakest take in sports, like, yea no sh*t. Maybe then they would only win games by 3 or 7 instead of 20+. Also, funny you mention the SB because mistakes by Purdy's teammates cost the team opportunities for 22 points(CMC fumble, muffed punt led to KC +7, Burford missed block on Jones, Moody's low PAT kick blocked).
Look buddy, Jimmy G, Darnold, lance with the same weapons and Brock still puts up better numbers. The West Coast OFF is another monster that most QBs can't understand

Not to mention that system regularly breaks down around him and he has to generate high-level plays out of thin air
Because he’s a system QB. Put Purdy on the Panthers and he’d be lucky to win 3 games. Meanwhile if you put Joe Burrow on the 49ers last year they go 15-2 and win the Super Bowl by 20.
@erikdayne5429 😂put any good quaterback on the Panter and they well sht on there pants
@@ErikDaynebuddy put mahomes on the panthers and they won’t make the playoffs. Ik u won’t respond either
Brock Purdy has been a vital force for the 49ers at QB since his first game with the team!
Among his most notable accomplishments is him sending San Francisco to the Super Bowl last season.
We expect greater games from Purdy going forward!
I am aware of how the media operates, ESPN and all of the others are media and downplay this mans game. I'm a Browns fan and that game last season even though my team won, Purdy drove his team down the field with a chance to win the game. Brock can ball.
Im hoping he learns to throw better in tha rain, though. That's the one obvious hole in his game
Oh boy just look at political news........
Big 🐓 Brock!!!! The haters ate it with this one.
brock is new gen drew brees coming from a saints fan
Yes!!!! He is Drew Brees with mobility. Brees is one of my favorite QBs, and I'm a 49ers fan.
Every time I make the Brees comp, people look at me like I'm stupid.
I see some similarities, but we'll see this year if Brock can rise to be an equal with Brees

Drew Brees is a hall of fame QB. Brock Purdy is a little make a wish kid that completely falls apart in the playoffs, if it rains, or if anyone around him gets injured.
@@justinsnow1269 Brock said even though his dad was a huge Dan Marino fan, he actually became a big fan of Drew Brees and looked up to him and tries to model his game after him.

0:35 oh my what is this song? sounds awesome
Let’s get going by Nicholas phillmore dagnall
2:22 that pass was so nasty
If you're still doubting Brock, go back and watch his first start against Tom Brady and the Bucs in 2022, he did everything in that game: improvised a touchdown run, swam over a lineman to make a crazy throw to Deebo in traffic, beat blitz after blitz, and had 2 front corner touchdown passes with defenders in his face. It was insane, no one saw it coming.
Well Brady is not exactly a high bar. But this kid Is EXTREMELY TALENTED
@@I-Dcompany That's an insane statement, but I like the attitude.
How anyone can watch this and call him a game manager is just so far beyond me. Dude is a baller, plain and simple.
Should be top 10
Wow impressive Brock!

The one against Jacksonville is what sold me
The Bucs game against Brady in 2022 sold me. He did everything in that game.
God has Blessed him
He's so good we finally have a QB
I think people doubting him is exactly what Purdy needs. Seems like the kind of guy that will thrive with that chip on his shoulder. Can't wait to watch him play this season, will be very interested to see what happens when it comes time to pay him.
My boy BCB finally getting the respect he deserves
I agree Brock had an amzing season. But i think maybe I wasnt amazed enough by Dan Marino. Doing that in the 80s
Let us Packers advance through the playoffs already 😢😢😢😢

Underrated.
As a ravens fan I wish we had him he’s the man I’m tired of having a fake quarterback we would have like 2 superbowls already with purdy if he we had a true quarterback especially with top ranked defenses in 2019 and 2023 and we lose because Lamar folds everytime 🤦♂️
