Stephen A leads him into a negative perspective about shanahan whilst stroking brady’s ego about making the greatest comeback ever.
Yet he responds with a positive perspective about how shanahan made the right call putting the game in the hands of the best players on the team.
Even provides a what if scenario regarding running the ball and possibly turning it over.
This man right here.. between the ears is simply special.
Unless of course you factor in that Shanahan made the wrong calls and cost them the SB. I can't remember the details but they were in FG with a chance to put the game away and they had tried to pass twice and had a sack and a penalty that knocked them out of FG range. He put his ego in front of what the situation called for.
Brady had infinite help from his defense and the Falcons ineptitude for that comeback

Tevin coleman went down early in the 4th and the right tackle went down in the next possession. They tried to run left with freeman but lost yardage. The sack on ryan that pushed them out of field goal range I believe came from that right side.
They had about 4 minutes left of clock and the score was 20-28. They were moving the ball through the air so why change something thats working.
There was just a lot of unfortunate things that didnt go the falcons way.
To conclude.. Matt Ryan as the league MVP at the time has the final say. Like all great QB's always said. They get to call the play or change the play. Matt Ryan in my opinion is equally responsible for the loss.
@@jsumo_ The reason you do it is because a FG all but wins the game for you. Even if they do not gain any yardage they burn more time off the clock. Kicking a FG makes it a 2-possession game which is huge. That is what the smart thing to do was but Shanahan let his ego get the better of him and screwed it up. Any other explanation is simply an excuse for a major screwup. I don't remember Ryan changing the play to a pass. Has anybody ever said that Ryan changed it?

@@NoName-fx9zi I was as ready as the next guy to hate on Lamar's style of play after his first season, because it never lasted long. Teams would always catch up and be able to plan against them, or the running QB would get hurt. But then the Ravens just kept winning games. Lamar is good.

I think Brady has the right idea. There's four. You can order 2-4 how you like. Allen has playoff wins to his name, and makes great plays that 95% of QBs can't make, but turns the ball over a lot and can't get past Mahomes. Lamar has probably done the most with the least as far as what he's been given for his passing development, not to mention having to be the team's leading rusher to boot, but took a big step forward last year, but couldn't get past Mahomes. Burrow has gotten past Mahomes, but Burrow also has Zac Taylor and a Top 5 WR duo on the outside to throw to. Probably top 3, if we're being honest. And the Bengals point totals didn't really dip with the backup QB the way they did in Baltimore when Lamar got hurt or how we'd expect in Buffalo. He's also 1-4 against Lamar.
They are the top 4 qbs in the league no debating but at some point one of them have to win

For the most part these comments have pretty good takes. I think most people (not the MSM) have came to the consensus on who the top 4 guys are. Mahomes by himself, followed by Lamar burrow and allen in whatever order you wanna put them in. They’ve all got cases to be listed 2-4 in my opinion.
The 5th spot is up for grabs. I like stroud a lot, but herbert, hurts, or maybe even goff are good shouts for it.
Tons of great qb play in the league nowadays. The 15th best qb in 2024 is WAY better than the 15th best qb 20 years ago.

@@atg1338 Josh allen is 1-2 in his last 3 games outside of the wildcard round. Lamar is also 1-2 in his last 3 games outside the wildcard with more touchdowns. Burrow would be 1-2 in the playoffs if his defense allowed >19 ppg. That doesn't take away from any of their talent.

My opinion is that Lamar doesn't appear to have the passing skills to bring his team back from a defeceit. Lacks quick strike scoring ability as a passer. I believe this is why he was not signed sooner when his contract came due, that others share this same opinion. Tremendous runner though.
