He is my mentor from a distance. I would listen to him on the radio in Baton Rouge, LA. every Sunday morning before church. I'm a pastor now and I must admit when I first started preaching I used a lot of his illustrations. I even referenced him in my father's eulogy I preached. I generally admire this man with a Godly admiration.
@truthbymike His wife was my principal during my childhood. I remember his preaching as a kid. I tell ya, kids today need Mrs. Taylor as their principal.
I didn't know he died, these great preachers will be missed, Dr, Taylor, Dr CAW Clark, Dr Manuel Scott, Dr Sam Proctor, Dr EV Hill, Bishop GE Patterson, I've heard each of these late preachers preach in person, I saw them live, I won't say there will never be other great preachers, because that limits GOD, I heard Dr CAW Clark say GOD has a big bullpen , when one goes down , he has another. Rip to each of these proclaimers of the gospel
