- Sermon preached by Dr. Gardner C. Taylor, pastor emeritus of the Concord Baptist Church, New York City. He now resides in North Carolina. As of this posting, Dr. Taylor must be about 92 years old. I have heard no better preacher than this man. (Clearly, that is my opinion. But I said without shame or apology.)
If You slay me, yet will I trust in Thee. All Glory to Your Holy Name.
It’s Oct 2023 0554 hrs I’ve been preaching over forty years and I experienced this. Changed my preaching and my life when God humbled me greatly.
This message is speaking to where I am right now, thank God for Dr. Taylor.
The original title of this sermon is: "A Wide-View Thru A Narrow Window". It was preached at the L K Williams Institute in
the late 70's or early 80's. I had a copy of the original tape... Listen to his repetitive use of it (title) throughout...
Thank you so much for sharing this.
This is my favorite sermon. I have heard plenty of them among some of the best preachers. I have heard one better and most don't come close!
Greetings Jay. What is the name of the sermon to which you are making reference? I would love to hear it
I grew up in Brooklyn/Queens in the 50s-70s.The Rev Carter n. Pope was my pastor at Universal Baptist Church, 742 Jefferson Ave, Brooklyn, NY. i remember hearing Dr. Taylor's name. He was quite beloved by his people and thoroughly respected and emulated by the community. (Bedford - Stuyvesant sector of Brooklyn, NY)
