would be better if waxing wasnt allowed. Then it would not be a matter of who has the best skiis or most monney to get the best waxteam or skiis. If everyone has the same it would be more fair. And besides, No one would complain about the skiis if the loose.
ala stock car racing. I tend to agree. Sure some skis would be faster than others but that's what the marketplace is for. If one brand or model was better everybody would use them (no hiding behind money to buy the best technicians and athletes to sell your product) and other brands would have to catch up benefiting everybody in the end.
that's like saying all runners should use the same shoes. that would give certain runners advantages and others disadvantages that's out of their team's control. imagine running around for miles and miles on wooden shoes - that's basically the same as skiing without any wax.
Science, or Obsession? Seriously, it's argued below and it's like Nascar restrictions, but have one wax team, one all-temp wax, and every set gets only that, done the exact same way. I'm no longer concerned with how many PFoA's or whatever they are I'm putting into the ground. This was one team for one event. Cringe level is quite up there.
Is that wax cabin portable on a truck? I know nowdays many country have trucks which have the whole wax "office" inside.
very informative! thanks!
there is half of science and half of magic

Still some skiis would be better and some worse.. but I understand your point.

It’s the difference between restrictor plate nascar and formula 1. F1 is much more exciting.
