The author didn't even bother to write if Jake had any clothes or shoes. Does that mean he was stark naked throughout these challenges?

So the other alien just stood back and let Jake get the final prize? That’s kind of unbelievable.

It seems to me that a riddle on one planet would not have the same meaning on another planet.

This is an impressively incoherent story

Couldn't they have showcased human empathy? I know i wouldn't want to be stuck on a random planet, and there's nothing stopping me from taking anyone else, so i will take everyone i can.

      My headspace:
Epilogue: After the contest, Jake used the ship he had been given, to find the planet the contestants were left on. He rounded up those who remained; those who hadn't succumbed to the climate or wildlife before Jake could find them - and returned everyone to their respective home planets. With the knowledge that they were not alone, and the FTL drive from the ship as a prize, Jake returned home a hero.

Reminds me of the Outer Limits episode Fun and Games in a way, though Fun and Games was kill or be killed and it was a better story.

So the Tyranxians are trying to start a war with the rest of the universe for a game show...seems like a good idea.

The author continues to throw in "supplies", limited of course , that Jake had in his possession. How? Where did they come from? He showcased building a solar generation with a light show, so he had electronics available? The author has obviously never seen the inside of a solar generator (battery storage device). They are more than a little complex with a boatload of circuit boards. Jake made those? Had them readily available? Another story that's too predictable in plot and full of mistakes in details.

    the end sucked
why did the little homie that was solving the puzzle with him just let him get to the ship
and you could at least take him home in the ship instead of leaving them stranded on a planet for life

It was just a version of the hunger games. An interesting twist at the end would've made it more fun and exciting. How about Jake uses the ship to rescue the other contestants? These aliens who put on this show for their people were callous, what? No weapons on that ship? Strafe the area and rescue the other contestants at least. Something! Otherwise, it was like a bad donut. With too many plot holes in it.

it is a disgrace. None of the competitors were volunteers. Poor ending.

In the beginning of the story I actually figured Jake would win and take all those guys with him just to prove for the thousandth time in the stories just how great humanity is but noOoo, you got to go pluck a conniving con artist who's already pissed off with an "in your face sucker" kind of mentality straight from the evening commute home off the freeway to compete, win then be an ass!😮 Just sayin....😅 sometimes reality hurts..

Jake didn't use the ship to take his fellow contestants home? How anti-climatic and unAmerican.

Multiple eyes that blink in sync? Humans have multiple eyes that blink in sync. Did the author perhaps mean numerous eyes that blink in sequence?

Okish. Better than most drek. But man... Yet another case of "Show, don't tell." He solved the riddles. Ok, what WERE they? Don't try to write 'Smart' if you aren't.

about this ship. was it his to keep or only a lift home? and frankly had they wished to prove how smart they were why not tell the aliens if you all give in i'll get you off that hell planet in my new ship. and lastly why did his partner just shake hands and let jake enter and win?

The AI is getting better, but every time i hear "advanced technology" to describe anything it reminds me that it cant actually come up with anything new and every time i hear about the strength of diversity i think this is what they want to program us to believe, sure diversity can be a strength, but not evrything is diversity.

Where did Jake get the parts for a solar generator and lights? And why would the other guy not race for the final destination??? Disappointing.
