Also, Keating knows Mike is not fundamentally sound, goes for flashy -EV play (The T2 play was a disaster that just happened to work, Mike thought he was a genius… nope). Flipping against a lesser opponent is fine because a) Keating had sufficient bankroll and b) Keating want to take the shot to stack Mike before his money is milked away by others at the table.

I agree. I think the play for the tens is call pre flop and see if an ace or a king hits. If he loses to a queen, fine. But the all in play is to get your opponent to fold and Alan Keating doesn't fold very much in this scenario. The best scenario for the tens is call, see an ugly board and allow Keating to punt. Or just get away when the ace hits.

Yea that was a tilt shove. A bit understandable given how light keating had been 4 betting, but he had position post flop. Mike could prob get away cheap on that runout if he just flats the 4b. I guess he technically got a worst hand to call, but coin flip is his best case scenario if called. And if keating has air, he can extract more money from him post flop in position

Back in the days of high-stakes poker, this would have been a $5000 pot and then a quick bet & fold on the flop.
