Usually there’s a preset amount agreed by players. Individual player tips are optional. Steve tipped 2200 for each dealer that dealt. 500 for the lady that handles the food order. Pre Chinese Govt crackdown, once in Macau, saw a 50 something w 3 lady friends. Dropped ~10k (in a 5/10 game) in like 30 minutes and got bored. Proceed to give give away the remaining stacks of $700 chips as tips to every worker… probably 3-4 stacks given out.

Lots of these guys are sponsored or have investors. So hard to say whose money they are playing with many times. I doubt DWAN is playing with his own money but of course I may be wrong.
