Thanks so much for a Great video. I know my way around Canva pretty well, but I'm still working on my designing techniques. You gave me some fantastic ideas and invaluable tips!! You rock my friend!! ❤❤❤
I have been a subscriber for few months now, I wish I knew your channel earlier. You have got very helpful and inspiring materials. Keep doing what you do
Hi Juna. First of all thanks for the videos are making. I want to know if it is ok to use the vectors from canva in your designs in case u want to upload them to redbubble, etsy and MBA.
@@DetourShirts Thank you for this, I was just about to ask on the facebook group before I saw this. I had read the license agreement on Canva and was a little confused.
If you have no drawing experience Canva Pro... if you can draw, like to make your own original designs and/or have used Illustrator or any vector based app I would say Affinity Designer.
Thank you very much, I'm a new beginner in design. Your video helps me a lot. May I ask if the next step we need to remove the background or if this kind of black color in the background should be used with some specific color of T-shirt?
Yes... remove the background... when saving or downloading use transparent background or if you don't have the pro version go to someplace like Photopea and remove the background.
@@DetourShirts Ah great. I know one of the irks I have heard mentioned, is that you have to keep checking the creators licence as it isn’t blanket for all of Canva. Thanks for the info.
I think I’ll do the 4 seasons … do you think if I use my photos, like 4 photos of a tree in each season, would work? I’m an iphoneographer and have thousands of photos I’d like to start selling on things.
@@DetourShirts I didnt know I had to upload to Printify first. I uploaded t shirt mocks to canva and been using them to design on. I then download the whole thing to my home computer, then upload directly to Etsy. I have Printify set as my delivery partner in my Etsy Store. Oh Gosh I may be doing t wrong. Although you can see my deigns on my store.
I've never used Printify but if it's anything link printful you should download your design from Canva... then upload the design to Printify so that they have the design to print.... there should be a link from Printify to Etsy.... the mockups from can be used on Etsy... there really should be a tutorial somewhere on UA-cam... When you get a sale on Etsy, Printify should be alerted and they will print your design for you
That was the Amazon standard shirt size, they didn't take anything else....they changed their requirements but it still works for Amazon and all the other PODs so I still use it.
Multiple reasons but the main 2 are.... 1. It's not as passive as I would like, you have to do mockups, answer messages, do customers service, etc. so it took way too much of my time. 2. I had a hard time figuring out if I made a profit.....there are ads, printful costs, listing costs, mockups, etc.
Thanks for the video, Juna. But no body is talking about how Amazon is currently ignoring infringement reports. I have made a lot of reports but got this in reply: "Hello, Thank you for your report of infringement. We reviewed your notices of infringement and determined that the notices you have submitted to Amazon are invalid or inaccurate. Reporting false, misleading, or consistently inaccurate notices of infringement violates our policies." This calls for a big concern but I am surprise that people are not talking about it. I have so many shirts stolen and my sales is very low because my designs are sold at $13.07 by lots of copycats. I wish this is something you can talk about, and we discuss and find a way to reach out to Amazon.
What part is way too easy? Creating the designs or making the sales? No catch to the creating designs... I should you step by step.... I guess the catch is that not everything you upload sells but you never know... simple designs sell all the time....you are always one design away from a great seller.... that's why I suggest you scale this and make 100+ designs to give yourself a better chance of getting a sale.
@@DetourShirts ... OK... I'm gonna give this a shot... gonna follow your instructions... I got tons of ideas in my head... be cool to see them on a tshirt... and even better to have one sale...
Hi, I hope you're well ! I started POD 3 months ago on redbubble and spreadshirt (EU / US) got some sales and have found my style : Puns or Quote + Vector cartoony illustration about objects, subjects, animals... And also motivational and workout quotes in another style (line, logo style). That's why I plan to open two stores by my own. One linked to my sport / motivation accounts, and another linked to another social account where I share my universe. It would allow me to get better profit margins, and truely create my "brands" and share it to my communities. Is it possible to create personal online stores and continuously uploading on it. I was wondering if it's possible with printify/printful and shopify, or if there is a limit of design ? Thanks for all, I learned a lot from you !
Yes... you definitely can do that... just remember that if you have your own site you will need to drive traffic to it yourself... no one will just find it organically when you are starting out.... good luck
@@DetourShirts Thanks ! that's good news, I will turn 18 in 2 months so I'll use this time to learn about shopify configuration, working on my niche more deeply, continue growing my audience etc... Another time, thanks for all 🤝 (and sorry if my english isn't perfect, my native french language make me do some mistakes haha 🇫🇷).

Another excellent video tutorial. I certainly will try this 4 square technique plus all you other video demos.
Awesome....Have fun!
Hi Juna. First of all thanks for the videos are making. I want to know if it is ok to use the vectors from canva in your designs in case u want to upload them to redbubble, etsy and MBA.
Yes you can.... as long as they are combined with other things... not just by themselves
@@DetourShirts Thank you for this, I was just about to ask on the facebook group before I saw this. I had read the license agreement on Canva and was a little confused.
I also have lots of macro flower shots that would work good too
Great idea!
Thanks for the great idea, i got a sale after creating a design like this
That is awesome!
Plz make a video on how to generate art according to trending niches for redbubble
that's a good idea... I will try my best
Thank you very much! Hoping for my first sell!
Best of luck!
Thank you so much, your tutorial is just amazing. I have a question, can I design with canva from my android phone
I'm not sure... I have done it on my iPad but not my phone yet... I would look to see if Canva has an app for you phone.
@@DetourShirts yes my phone currently have the canva app
you are truly a tshirt wizard!!
Wow... thank you... t-shirt wizard sounds amazing
Very cool technique!
How would you export that design for a black shirt?
Very easy if you have the Pro account.....go to download and check transparent background... upload it to any POD shop and select a black tshirt.
Yet another great video, Juna! Thank you! :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Juno, thanks for the videos. Would you recommend Canva pro or Affinity Designer for a beginner?

Great designs! Does the blank background blend in with the black shirts on Zazzle, Amazon Merch, and or Spring?
Nope... you remove the background... it's just there for you to imagine how it will look like on a black shirt
@@DetourShirts Ok, cool
Amazing! Thanks, Juna!
Glad you like it!
What I put on my titles for different design ?
Use words that people are looking for but also describes the design
amazing.! I am always impressed with what you do.

Thanks alot !

Loved it! Thank you so much
You're so welcome!
Great video. What are Canva’s licensing rules as I thought it was quite tricky to use their designs for selling ? Are the Llamas your own design?
The llamas are not..... you can use them for selling as long as you mix it up and don't just use one graphic as your design.
@@DetourShirts Ah great. I know one of the irks I have heard mentioned, is that you have to keep checking the creators licence as it isn’t blanket for all of Canva. Thanks for the info.

Yes... I think it would look great... whether it sells or not depends on the market... but you never know, so it's best to upload it anyway
Note: If you are using a PC use Alt-Shift and drag it down.
Thank you... I always forget to mention the PC shortcuts
❤
Thank you
Juna, Does this 4 square work if I do it on a uploaded t shirt mock up then download it, then upload directly to Canva?
I don't think so... but why would you want to do it that way? What are you trying to accomplish?

Hi just wondering why you always use 4500 x 5400 .. is that the print size of a tshirt?
That was the Amazon standard shirt size, they didn't take anything else....they changed their requirements but it still works for Amazon and all the other PODs so I still use it.

Why don't you sell on Etsy?
