Before I watch the video, here's what I think: Kittl is awesome, as a tool is excellent, far superior to Canva. The library is very small though, it needs time to grow. Another great thing about Canva is that you can use the pro version easily with Trials for 30 days.
I went with Kittl after doing 30 days pro canvas trial. I like Kittl's text features, grudge textures mask. It would be great if they implement masking feature to remove, blended graphics/layers. I sold many using Kittl's designs and actually has an Etsy's Best Seller on one 😍👍.

Hi Juna, ty for the great value that u always provide! and i rly like and admire how u respond to every comment, very nice of u and hope it stays that way a couple of questions hope u can help me with, 1. if i use the clip content on kittle, does that mean the texture wont come in the final output? and when would i use that and disable the texture instead of just deleting them? can i change the colors or textures or its transparent so its the t-shirt's color? 2. how can i stay updated with the trends especially if i wanted to know them before they explode and everyone know about them on pod sites? how do i get ahead of the competition in that field? many thanks once again!
I hope I can answer those.... 1. So using Clip Content along with the Alpha Mask will knock out the texture from the design so that you can see the shirt color behind the design. If you just use clip content the texture will usually be added to the design like a darker or lighter color. 2. Finding a trend before everyone else is super tricky.... you almost have to be lucky.... you can pay attention to the news, pop culture, sports, politics and other things and try to come up with something clever.... it doesn't always work..... the reason is that some trends because the masses make it trend and once the masses make it a trend the masses know about it......if you could predict a trend before it happens or could create a trend yourself you would be very rich or probably are already rich.... someone like Mr Beast or Kim Kardashian could start a trend because they have the masses following them already.
For Canva, it seems that it's impossible to use the templates for commercial purpose. I wonder about Kittl. 1) Are their licensing/copyright rules about the same? 2) How do POD folks compete with those who print in house in terms of prices?
You can use Canva and Kittl for commercial purposes you just have to follow their rules..... the licensing/copyright are different for each one.... POD folks don't compete on price they compete on originality and quick response to the market

The biggest issue with Canva is the LACK of clear information about using their graphics for POD.. so BEWARE about using these on shirts or POD Books.. Also Canva has been around for over 6 years and Kittl is brand new. I have been on Canva since 2016 and trust me, up until about 2 years ago, they really did NOT have that much functionality and out of the gate , Kittl has better functionality to format text and images, especially stuff like masks and alpha lock. for me, a Canva user.. There is no iPad version for Kittl yet... as far as a gangsheet I don't do that because all my stuff is for print on demand... I only save transparent PNG and it works for me.
You mentioned this saving time vs. Photoshop. To clarify if we are new at design and getting into POD, we do not need Photoshop for anything? We can use one or more of these apps to get the job done?
These two programs need to get married so we can have the best of both worlds! You should do an updated vid for this as they’ve both improved over the last year.
I use both! canva pro and kittl pro. Kittl has better fonts in my opinion and graphics that canva don't have. but canva is still a powerful easy tool that I can't seem to find in others.
I am a prospective student for graphic design, and I am scared to incursion into these programs. I have two questions, For designing large posters, is it Kittl better? If so, Am I going to be able to design my own templates if I need it? Thank you for your help!
I actually prefer vexels over kittl because they have more trending designs and a better search function. For example, Cottagecore is a huge trend right now. I searched in kittl for it with no results coming back . Went to vexels and typed it in and got pages of results back. I feel like you have to do more work with kittl to make a generic design work for your niche. Vexels does a superior job offering designs that are already niche specific while still allowing you to customize the design with their tshirt design software. Some of my best selling tees and mugs are courtesy of vexels.
I truly appreciate you putting all of this together Juna, you're awesome! Have you tried Creative Fabrica and if so, is it comparable/equal, not as good or better than Kittl? It seems those two they're on the same playing field? Thanks so much! :)
I followed your link and am using Pro Kittl, and I really like it. However, I am still going back to Canva for some of the assets I need. I'm sure Kittl will enlarge their collection of assets but for now... Which means I will have to keep Canva if I am using any Premium assest or I will lose the license to use. So, I have until February to decide whether or not to keep Canva. Thank you for all your vids.
Thanks for Making this video Juna, well, You Selling POD Products more using Etsy Ads and Amazon Ads but how do you boost your sales on your shopify website? do you run facebook/instagram Ads to make massive sales? some people said social media marketing is best.. whats your view on this...

I've been using canva for years. I am still not using kittl but just by watching kittl graphics on videos I can see that they are way better than canva. I like very bold, cool, graffiti, 3d or any fonts that just stand out. Every time I found them in Canva they weren't editable. The text was a png with transparent background, what a shame ! But kittl seems to create this kind of graphics with possibility to edit. Most people here seems to agree with me that kittl graphics are better especially for t-shirt. If they think that, so the customer will also think that. Therefore I will switch to kittl. That's the app I was wishing for.
Recently some Canva issues were happening. we can't use canva for Pod designs or fiverr services as updated by other Pod channels .Canva's new rules are skeptical for POD now.
I'm still new to both of them I have used them for a while, but I give credit to kittl for being able to manipulate text on template I think it will be better if you use both of them.
Hi juna I am curious about stickers o printables, do you have any video about??? thanks. Note: place it is a good platform too. you can do a video about or show us one. regards from Costa Rica
Detour Shirts Juna ? I have a youtube video idea for you. What is the theory to matching the text you select with the design or image you choose to use ? Me as a beginner I noticed that some text, don't look right with certain designs or images.
Hello friend, I do have a strange question: How do you have no background onto the regular print. I do not want to have a square background . how do I press to erase the background ? I hope you understand!
Both Canva and Kittl have a remove background feature..... On Canva you would check Transparent background before downloading (only works on Pro version).... On Kittl you would turn the Remove Background on before downloading
I think kittl is way better for high quality design but canva have a huge useful library with a lot of differents elements. Their library and template is a huge asset. Plus they have the mobile version. Canva is also way better for POD. I came to realise in POd you also need to promote and you have a lot of that in canva. In all Canva is more complete even in the free version.
The terms are always changing so I would check their site to be sure but it's always best practice to change things around an make it your own... if someone can use the same designs unmodified like you can, they will... which means there could be multiple designs that look the same on a site which is not a good thing.
Since the free versions of both programs are limited and have their differences, would it be possible to create something in Canva free and then download it as a PNG and take it into the free Kittl to use some of their features that are excluded from Canvas free or vice versa? Plus I might have access to the EDU teacher version of Canva so that might be a factor as far as creation, but I know certain things are limited to what you can do with that versus the regular versions, such as commercial print on demand etc.
@@DetourShirts aw man, so how do others use characters or people from shows and cartoons to make shirts? Are they manipulating the image or just doing it illegally? Or, is there a way to find images that are not copyrighted?

I wrote them and basically said to log off and log back in, well I did that and nothing happened and still was not able to upload. then it said well it could have too much uploads on there on canva, so I deleted some of my projects to have it to have more room. hey thanks for the consistency and direct very understndable advice, ive learned so much thanks qq if i want to use kittl for designing tshirts etc i must get the paid version ?and could you do a video for say if i wanted to create a gangsheet using kittl the steps in making sure the print com can put it on a shirt
That's right
Thank you! I needed to decide to get started 🎉 Canva is best for that for me.
Good choice!
Great breakdown 👌🏾
Glad it was helpful!
These two programs need to get married so we can have the best of both worlds! You should do an updated vid for this as they’ve both improved over the last year.
True... they both keep getting better
I use both! canva pro and kittl pro. Kittl has better fonts in my opinion and graphics that canva don't have. but canva is still a powerful easy tool that I can't seem to find in others.
Very cool... I use both too
I am a prospective student for graphic design, and I am scared to incursion into these programs. I have two questions,
For designing large posters, is it Kittl better? If so,
Am I going to be able to design my own templates if I need it?
Thank you for your help!
It depends if you like the style of Kittl. I think they are pretty good and I like the styles of the templates so I would choose Kittl.
great video mate, but can you design from scratch on kittl ?
Yes you can!
Great info!! Using both. Sometimes using Kittl, it does not want to change to the px size. Have you experienced that problem? Thanks!🙏
Yeah... sometimes I have to do it a couple times
Very helpful. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Can I ask where you find your trending information from?
You make a good point... I didn't even talk about finding trends and neither Canva nor Kittl does that
I truly appreciate you putting all of this together Juna, you're awesome! Have you tried Creative Fabrica and if so, is it comparable/equal, not as good or better than Kittl? It seems those two they're on the same playing field? Thanks so much! :)
Yes I have... It's a different kind of tool.... Creative Fabrica has graphic and fonts and stuff but you will still need an app to put it all together
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I'm very grateful Juna!@@DetourShirts
Thanks for your comment.... yeah, I have both too
thanks for this video!
You are very welcome
Thank you....really helpful for newbies like me😂👍🏻
You’re welcome 😊
Thanks for Making this video Juna, well, You Selling POD Products more using Etsy Ads and Amazon Ads but how do you boost your sales on your shopify website? do you run facebook/instagram Ads to make massive sales? some people said social media marketing is best.. whats your view on this...
I wish I knew..... I would guess email marketing would help but I'm not big into it... honestly my Shopify store isn't doing that great... I still need to learn more on that one
arkadaşlar İngilizce bilmeyenler için söylüyorum harika bir içerik hazırlanmış. ingilizce bilmeyenler transkripti kopyala yapıştır yaparak Türkçe çevirisini bulabilir. fiyat hariç kittl üstün görünüyor
Thanks?
I can’t upload the design page to check it out on kittl. I don’t have a computer either. Is it just not available on mobile?
Kittl is not available on mobile, sorry
Thanks a lot, very useful
Glad it was helpful!
Great reasoning... thanks for sharing
Recently some Canva issues were happening. we can't use canva for Pod designs or fiverr services as updated by other Pod channels .Canva's new rules are skeptical for POD now.
They actually cleared it all up....check out some of the newer videos
@@DetourShirts ok please help me out with any video link I can watch? So can we use canva for Pod designs now.?
I'm still new to both of them I have used them for a while, but I give credit to kittl for being able to manipulate text on template I think it will be better if you use both of them.
Yeah... their text effects are pretty awesome
Hi juna I am curious about stickers o printables, do you have any video about??? thanks. Note: place it is a good platform too. you can do a video about or show us one. regards from Costa Rica
Yes I do! I have this sticker video...ua-cam.com/video/5SECI3VYLN4/v-deo.html
Brilliant video. Thanks
Thank you
if I had the $ i would go with both but I'm goanna have to go with kittl because I'm not a graphic designer an I'm doing T-shirts
Great choice. I hope it works out for you
Definitely Kittl, have sold quite a few products based on their designs.
That's great to hear... Premium graphics help I'm sure...keep it up
You can sell Kittl Graphics?
Detour Shirts Juna ? I have a youtube video idea for you. What is the theory to matching the text you select with the design or image you choose to use ? Me as a beginner I noticed that some text, don't look right with certain designs or images.
I like it! Great idea... thanks
Thanks for you thoughts.... you made some great points
I am a graphics professional and have access to the full Adobe suit. Do you think I still need Kittl or Canva?
It depends what you want.... both Canva and Kittl have things Adobe doesn't
What are the copyright laws with Kittl on one of their images. Same as Canva. Do we have to make it our own by changing something?
The terms are always changing so I would check their site to be sure but it's always best practice to change things around an make it your own... if someone can use the same designs unmodified like you can, they will... which means there could be multiple designs that look the same on a site which is not a good thing.
@@DetourShirts ok thank you. You are so knowledgeable, I was hoping you had the answer already. Research time for me. 😬😬
Hey, juna are you still using affinity designer, or did you upgrade to V2?
Just upgraded last week... still need to do some videos for it
Since the free versions of both programs are limited and have their differences, would it be possible to create something in Canva free and then download it as a PNG and take it into the free Kittl to use some of their features that are excluded from Canvas free or vice versa? Plus I might have access to the EDU teacher version of Canva so that might be a factor as far as creation, but I know certain things are limited to what you can do with that versus the regular versions, such as commercial print on demand etc.
You could but FREE Kitll only saves your designs very small so it's not good for POD
@@DetourShirts that’s what I figured. Would I download them as PNG or SVG before going back-and-forth?
The pro on kittl now has all premium templates which makes it much more affordable now.
Cool... thanks for sharing
Good info.
Thank you
Are they both better than vexels??
It depends what you want. I could do a. Vexels vs Kittl or Vexels or Canva.
I would like to see in Canva would be more text effects and less fonts with the ability of being able to add more fonts
Yeah... good call
Can you drag and drop google images in both to use on t-shirts?
No... you should not use google images
@@DetourShirts aw man, so how do others use characters or people from shows and cartoons to make shirts? Are they manipulating the image or just doing it illegally? Or, is there a way to find images that are not copyrighted?
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I am using canva now and I am having trouble uploading my mockups that I purchased from etsy. Well, Canva is failing to upload with ease. I wrote them and basically said to log off and log back in, well I did that and nothing happened and still was not able to upload. then it said well it could have too much uploads on there on canva, so I deleted some of my projects to have it to have more room. Still I was still not able to upload my picture I purchase from etsy. I need someone to assist me because I was in a zone and now i am stuck. Im so unhappy with canva right now. when it's working I am fine with it. but when it's not, there is no live customer service or live chat support where they can actually help me and I am frustrated. Someone please help me.
I would check your size and file type... what are you trying to upload? Is it a PNG, SVG, EPS? How big is it? Is it more than 20MB is it more than 5000px x 5000 px?
Now a comparison of those vs Placeit
I'll have to do another video.... thanks for the idea
@@DetourShirts I look forward to it. Your reviews and analysis of these products are really more helpful for newbies than you can understand. There are so many things out there and if I paid for all of them I'd go broke just trying to figure them out.
I'm have question about the legal usage of all the graphics designs available on canva and kittl. As far as i know we can't use it directly on the t-shirt right? Can you provide some information on that?
You can't just use the graphic but if you mix it with words and/or other graphics it will be okay
@@DetourShirts Thank you for the information!!
Do you have a Kittle code link for a discount? Thank you in advance.
I have this Kittl Affiliate link... I believe it's also a discount...Kittl Affiliate Link: kittl.pxf.io/YgPoAe
thanks alot for the video you the man
Glad to help
Canva for the win for ME. Very user friendly
Glad it works for you... thanks for sharing
Sir I have a problem I have a cell phone kittle design don't open a Mobile what should I do for it?
Don't use Kittl on your phone... it only works on a laptop or desktop
@@DetourShirts could I used only Canva?
Yes... you can use Canva on mobile devices... download the app
Detour Shirts Juna ? I need your help I applied for a red bubble account and they suspended me for nothing. I never had a chance to put any designs.
Sorry.... not sure what's going on there
@@DetourShirts Juna ? what are all the pods you use ? and which ones advertise for you ?
I use Amazon, RedBubble, TeePublic, Cafepress, Zazzle, Design by Humans, Society 6, Threadless, Spreadshirt and TeeSpring.... I only use Amazon Advertising for Amazon.
Thank Juna, you had given a really nice breakup. However, it will be complete once you also highlight the licensing part in details fir both the applications
True.... I should have covered that.... I should make another video about licensing... good call
I use both. Wish i could get a discount for that, but as they are competitors no such luck :)
True. Discounts would be awesome
Both
Using Canva free until I can get kittl then I’m saving up to go pro on my Canva 😊
Great plan
i am having hard time with kittl. i like canva better
Thanks for sharing...I always say, use the app that will get you the most benefit....not everyone will like the same apps and not everyone needs all the apps.
canva for me is the best for a lot reasons
Thanks for sharing
The best ❤️❤️
Thank you
I find Kittl’s elements to be sadly lacking compared to Canva. Constantly having to go to Canva to get graphics.
It should get better over time.... Canva just has sooooo much graphics, it really is impressive
OK Can I Juat Say You Freakin' Rock thank you thank you thank you you have helped me so much on Kittl
Oh good... glad I could help
I tried Kittl and personally I think it sucks as I prefer to create graphic art from scratch anyways...I use Gimp and Inkscape. I prefer Canva of these two
Thanks for voting... everyone one is different and it's great to hear from all sides
I think u can upload your favorite fonts into kittl right?
Yes you can
Another thing Canva has which is huge is the text to image tool AI designs are great.
Very true!
شكرا جزيلا
Thanks
Kittl's free version is great, and I'm satisfied with it, except for the fact that I can't remove the watermark from my design. Canva offers a better solution in this regard, as their exported images don't have any watermarks.
Yes... FREE vs FREE I think Canva is better
@@DetourShirts Everyone have their own opinion I use both Kittl and Canva plus Adobe Express I use this three websites but I use more Kittl.

Both
Good idea
I prefer gimp si caanva is a nightmare to work with. Kttl u managed to operate but needed to do final edits in gimp to get em as i wanted
Thank you for your comment... glad you found something that works for you
Canva no genera vectores
