So, somebody somewhere posted incorrect lyrics to this (incredible) song and it seems that every lyric website out there just ran with it. Now they all have those same lyrics with literally no variation between sites and there are clearly issues with them. I watched all of the live versions of this song that I could find in order to attempt to lip-read, and this is what I came up with. I know it's not 100% correct, but it's so much closer than what's out there, especially the final stanza. Let me know what you think:

I was a rock snob when this first came out. My attitude at the time was, "If there aren't any electric guitars, it's not real music."
Then last year I got involved with the vaporwave scene (it hasn't really "died;" it just went back underground), and now I love chillwave!
Honestly that's why I think it's important for people to like a variety of music. I think it can get boring when you listen to only one genre of music. There is so much great music out there ready to be discovered.
It moves you like music is supposed too.....

I listened to all that alternative late 80's/ early 90's stuff for three years. But like sub pop probably feels, all of those bands started sounding the same. Along with the fact that they made me more pissed off and angry at the world. (as if I needed more of that). Give this music a chance!! CHILLWAVE>ANXIETY. Love one another and yourself!!

Should have used a song for surfing. The '90s were not carefree the '80s were washed out is one of those bands that sound like they could have been in the '80s. I think some of these guys that are picking up some of the '80s songs and using that vibe great band. I love their videos. They're getting a lot better

I think a better concept for this video would have been a couple walking down the beach as the sun is setting. Clips of waves crashing. Them running into the sunset and into the powerful waves and then they disappear. Togethaa as one!

Washed Out's music is always awesome, but this video is so out of step with his others. The others are cool and so creative; they make you want to watch them over and over. Changing lighting effects aren't enough to make this video worthy of the song it's attached to.

I like music like this and even far less known bands but I also like Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers Eminem and Oasis, etc., so I don't see how I'm a hipster for liking this. Well they only had a $50 budget to make the video. They borrowed the neighbors motorcycle set up a green screen in his garage put the bike in front of it. Called up one of his chick friends made her smoke a joint. Sat her on the bike and just recorded her for a couple of minutes. Then they just added the footage and song.
$20 for bike
$20 for weed
$10 green screen.
Nah I really don't know why they made such a bad video kinda ruined the song a little.
