So glad you did the video! The Dynasty is my favorite for cell structure, but I love the combo for the layers!! So they both work, like you said! Thanks for sharing…great learning video! ❤

Thank you for doing this. It helps so much when you do the experiment's first and let us know what you think. I still hope somewhere out there, there is a product that works great like 8300 with out adding a lot of ingrediencies. A girl can hope!

Thank you Lisa for demonstrating and showing another informative option for a Pouring Medium. I live in Saskatchewan and have used Varathane Triple Thick and Valspar Ultra Deep Base C using both separately and both mixed with Min Wax Polycrylic with great results, 3 to 1 ratio almost. They both dried perfectly. This gives us all another option 😀

Thank you for taking the time to experiment with the different Behr bases. I think the triple thick is helping. I used to use it all the time in my recipes 3 years ago but I took the Shelee classes and then stopped using it. I think there is a difference in the chemical reactions using the Triple Thick the blooms are different looking. Keep us posted. I love expermental videos!💖💖💖💖

  • @ArtbyDebraRose

Behr was sneaky. When this happened in the US late last fall everyone told me it was just the can and we shouldn't say anything changed. But getting a "gloopy" Behr was impossible, then discontinued. Thank you for doing this video because even the thinner Behr 8300 was tough to get good consistent results.

Why only Behr brand? I use Glidden Premium, Base C, which is clear for pigments and colors, and White Base for my white pillow. They pour, but are both thick enough that I need to thin with Floetrol and water to be able to do any type of pour painting. As long as your cell activator is thinner than the base paint, they both allow for cells and lacing. I mix my cell activator paints with just Liquitex pouring medium for cells.

The new behr is 8153 & thats what im using right now. I actually like it much better than the 8300 bc it's a tiny bit thinner & flows better. I don't have to use as much Jo Sonja to thin it out 🙌

Okay you're at the point that you just mixed the pigment with the varathane triple thick I believe it was Sheldon that asked me if I had tried the triple big. And when you didn't disperse the pigment I thought it would come out clumpy , not devolved, but it didn't and you're the master of this I think anyways . Why didn't it since it wasn't dispersed before adding it to the p.m.? Recap , the behr dynasty and polyurethane is the best option , not comparing price at this point ?

Okay I Trust your judgment, so that would be the behr Dynasty I don't know if that's semi-gloss or deep base c ? With the triple thick polyurethane. And the ratios is 1 blop of the triple thick to 2 bloops of the behr Dynasty and a splash of Jo Sonja and for the pigments it's dispersed and one part triple thick to two-part to Behr dynasty is that correct? And thank you Lisa for trying all this out for everybody else. :)))
