I built my own truck camper a few years ago from Glen-L plans. I know how big of a project this is and I wanted to tell you how impressed I was after seeing your videos. You do great work and I can't wait to see the finished camper.
Contemplating building a camper without one to go by. Smaller than this one, but seeing which panel (wall) sits on what really helps. I realize that I better have all components on hand before beginning... windows, door, water heater, furnace, etc, because the wood bracing (whatchmacallits) have to be in place before the skin goes on. I am contemplating using thin ply on the outside and poor-mans-fiberglass (PMF) which is painters drop cloth glued and painted. Maybe actual fiberglass. Lots to consider but thanks for showing us what you did Mr kxracer guy. Now on to more of the vids in this series. Peace.
Did you use any adhesive when you joined the walls and rear section to the flooring? I know you used lots of screws but when the camper starts to flex it will still creek and make noises because since it will be going off-road on your 4X4. Nice build! I've watched this from the beginning and enjoyed it. You are very entertaining.
I used adhesive on some of the walls when the main box was assembled. I’m sure there will be some creaking involved, but it should hold. Thanks for the comment!
well.. hope you're not planning to take any off road trails because over time thats going to come apart over rough roads....its a common mistake most diy'ers make
You're absolutely right about the underbelly shot! Thanks! 👌👌👌

I would highly recommend having all of the components/appliances first. This will prevent a lot of rework.

"Raise the roof buddy?
It aint even on!"
I built similar ones back in the 70's and the structure is flawed.
How so?
Your cabover will sag. Your bracing isn't near good enough. Most of them that were built, saged.
