As soon as you pull into the garage, they become "mencapable" of something as simple as putting the seat down (lid included)! Then you wash the outsides of every dish he "washed" while you were away. He acts like your "mental" and throw an entirely ridiculous "mantrum" because you are "always being critical of everything he does"! When you KNOW he only acts too stupid to do things "the right way". So that we will stop asking you to do anything and just do it ourselves.

Idk I mean... all my friends who are girls are messier than me so I think maybe these guys find weird girls who agree with them and think women are supposed to do these things.
However I mean there is some organic reasoning behind the history of women being in charge of the household. But these people just take it to a hateful place instead of just letting people be themselves.
No joke. I was in a toxic relationship when this show premiered. So the tools vaguely reminded me of my bf at the time, so I called him and broke up with him. Sure enough he cried like the tail between his legs dog he was and tried for the next year to get me back. Thanks to tool academy I met the amazing husband that I have, all because it opened my eyes to the biggest tool before him. Lol. True story!

In the early '00's, I had a boyfriend just like Shaun. The stupid hair, a lip piercing, and yes...he was even training to be in the MMA. So many red flags, and yet we still dated 4 months because I was dumb as heck. Highlights included: having his ex stay at his apartment for a weekend "because she had nowhere to go", getting a ride home from a stripper, and giving me a key to his apartment and following it with "so you can use the gym here".

Trust as I know men just getting into the UFC and it’s hard AF. There are amateur and semi pro and pro level mma gyms that are lower level than UFC all over the country and you can pay to be in them ❤

This Hello Fresh ad was maybe my favorite one yet 😂 “I suffer from moderate to severe stovelessness.” The whole thing was so funny.
The thing that stuck in my brain from tool academy was one couple was telling whatever expert or host they were talking to, they didn’t use condoms because they couldn’t afford them, and the expert/host was like ‘diapers are more expensive than condoms’ and that stuck in my young brain for life, I don’t think it even registered for the couple on tool academy though.
So, real talk. My brother in law is an "alpha male," stemming from deep insecurities, and I can't stand being around him. He constantly talks over me (female) and his wife, and is impossible to have a normal conversation without him dominating the talk by going off on a loud rant wherein he repeats his point over and over. It's so annoying that he wants to hang out with my husband and I, and I actually don't go out anymore if he's gunna be there. My husband is so kind and the complete opposite, but still likes hanging out with my BIL and would like if I saw them more often.
How do I set social boundaries with a THICK HEADED alpha male so I can tolerate being in the same room as him? Because I want to bang my head into a wall about 5 minutes into hanging out.
You and your husband needs to correct him if he talks over you. Other than that, you're gonna be in a constant struggle or be silenced and may grow to resent your husband for being complicit or ignoring his bad behavior towards you.

Completely agree. My husband is what would be considered an alpha male by sight and personality. He’s 6’3” and muscular, but he never acts like that’s something to show off. When we’re out, he’ll be the one with good manners treating me like a lady and holding doors for everyone. Just DO NOT threaten his family. I have seen both sides of him and it makes me glad that he is calm and dedicated. These guys that think they have to walk around like fighting roosters are more talk than walk. Only a weak man needs to prove he is a man.

If the task of bearing with a tool proves necessary, reassign the task to the parents whenever possible, as it was originally their responsibility to begin with.
