No worries, buddy. I set 8hrs a day via Wifi Smart Plug. So I use that plug as on/off control and don't use ramp up and down settings from Chihiros App. 😊

you can use techniques to move the fish like ryo showed in one of his videos . very amazing scape it was underated in competetion . My advice for your next setup is to make the thocal point more evident it was not to clear. But very Beautiful scape and very healthy plants! Good luck for your next scapes.

those stem plant trimmings are such a chore, amazing work bro!! that buce with large leaves on the top left kind of blocks the background, it's the only thing that i didnt like in the final look, otherwise 100/100! :D

My god dude, how are you phenacogrammus interruptus so colorful. Really good genes? Everytime i saw them, they seemed kinda pale to me, so this is a complete eye opener for me. Thanks for this video, makes it easy to appreciate the tank even more!
Hi buddy! Congo Tetras from the fish shops normally look very pale. They will colour up when they get use to the tank and got good feedings. Males also have better colour than females. 😄

Hi Shermanyo, thank you. :) I did not boil the woods because it was too huge. I just setup and sink it in the tank during cycling time. Luckily, not a lot of tannin leeched from the woods. And ya, you should get Congo tetras, the fish is so beautiful! ^^

Hello this tank is my personal favourite number 1 .I have a few questions can you tell how you fertylize your tank? quantity and scheadule. I analysed all our plants that You have listed in description and I cannot find one green plant that is on the left side near glass 25cm in height similar to Elodea canadensis i am guessing but can you tell what plant is it ?
Many thanks, Robert! 😊 I guess the plant that you mention is just a single Rotala rotundifolia 'green' that out of sudden popped up there! 😆😆 Some considered it unsightly but I left it there because I like the plants which thrive for their position in the tank! 🥰🥰
This tank I rarely dose any liquid fertilizers in fact. The rich of nutrients in the base substrate actually helped a lot. JBL AquaBasic Plus is very effective in releasing nutrients to water column and also background stem plants got benifits from that, too. It growed very very well as you can see. 🥰

Thường sau khi cắt tỉa mạnh tay mình châm thêm Seachem Advance cho cây hồi trở lại tốt hơn. Seachem Advance có chút hóc-môn sinh trưởng giúp cây lành vết cắt nhanh và đẻ nhánh mới theo mình quan sát thấy khá tốt. :) Tuy vậy, nếu cây còi cọc quá, bạn nên bỏ phần gốc đi và trồng cắm lại ngọn nhé. :)
Algae outbreak did happened during the initial period when tank was not matured. I used H2O2 to eliminate those visible algae at that time. When the tank is well cycled and stem plants growing with larger mass in tank, in inhibit algae to grow naturally. I also try to keep tank temperature stable (i.e. at 26degC) and provide sufficient CO2 + Lighting for the tanks. For fertilizers, I don't use much because the substrate is very rich in nutrients. I use some Seachem ferts once in a while.
Yes, I tried the dark start method for this tank. It took about 2 weeks before planting. 😊 I did use some beneficial bacteria source and seasoned biomedia to speed up the process as well. 😊
Hi buddy, I do water change in every 7-10 days. Normally is once a week. I do keep the same light from beginning till the end (i.e. 2x Chihiros RGB Vivid LED Light). The footages might looks different because I had been using different cameras/lens to record. Well, that was a long journey. Cheers! 😁🥰
Hi Miguel, I use various Rotala species for the background: Rotala Rotundifolia, Rotala blood red, Rotala Rotundifolia green, Rotala nanjeanshan, Rotala Wallichii. 🙂

Thường sau khi cắt tỉa mạnh tay mình châm thêm Seachem Advance cho cây hồi trở lại tốt hơn. Seachem Advance có chút hóc-môn sinh trưởng giúp cây lành vết cắt nhanh và đẻ nhánh mới theo mình quan sát thấy khá tốt. :) Tuy vậy, nếu cây còi cọc quá, bạn nên bỏ phần gốc đi và trồng cắm lại ngọn nhé. :)

I just watched it again, and I see that you have struggled with algae. What did you do to get the tank algae free? And what fertilizers do you use?🙂
Algae outbreak did happened during the initial period when tank was not matured. I used H2O2 to eliminate those visible algae at that time. When the tank is well cycled and stem plants growing with larger mass in tank, in inhibit algae to grow naturally. I also try to keep tank temperature stable (i.e. at 26degC) and provide sufficient CO2 + Lighting for the tanks. For fertilizers, I don't use much because the substrate is very rich in nutrients. I use some Seachem ferts once in a while.
You're using the dark start method for starting this tank? If so, how long did you wait before planting?
Yes, I tried the dark start method for this tank. It took about 2 weeks before planting. 😊 I did use some beneficial bacteria source and seasoned biomedia to speed up the process as well. 😊

Hi buddy, I do water change in every 7-10 days. Normally is once a week. I do keep the same light from beginning till the end (i.e. 2x Chihiros RGB Vivid LED Light). The footages might looks different because I had been using different cameras/lens to record. Well, that was a long journey. Cheers! 😁🥰

Hi Miguel, I use various Rotala species for the background: Rotala Rotundifolia, Rotala blood red, Rotala Rotundifolia green, Rotala nanjeanshan, Rotala Wallichii. 🙂
What lights, filtration are you using, co 2 system? Ferts?
Details are in the descriptions, buddy. I used 2x Chihiros Vivid II, canister filters and CO2. Fertilizers sparingly. :D
