    Send those homeless to sand island. Have them stay there. At least out site area for them to live instead of all over on town…..

      @LonnieBrewer-dd4wi nope...they can clean out those gutters. As an official project to clear the water way and deforestation they will have to move.
      They said themselves they know the are there and they try to reach out to them to help them with resource, and try to relocate them to shelters. If they doing that only when people complain. They can do it on an normal basis.

      @LonnieBrewer-dd4wi but that's the job of the city to do these kind of thing. How more inhuman is it to just leave people down there were it's know to be unsafe?
      The city can go in and do this...but in reality they don't think it's worth it unless the community "complains" loud enough.

      @@shinnidan First of all it shouldn't be that way. I volunteer in a homeless shelter, some want the help but other's choose to live like that and don't want to help.

    Make certain areas a homeless person can sleep . Make it so they can not just set up all over . Put trash cans toilets and showers . Do something please before a disaster occurs .

    • @durshi01
      @durshi01 4 місяці тому

      Where should these areas be? Kahala would a nice spot or Hawaii Kai, maybe up in Manoa really nice district park close to the stores. Good idea but the big question is where and would they really use it?

    • @user-xl7kx7bi3l
      @user-xl7kx7bi3l 4 місяці тому

      @durshi01 a good place to start is where does the state own land ? Should have a wall build around it so not an eye sore and no hanging out in surrounding areas . The tent area should be private, not open to the public . Can be in any area as long as not seen by the public . If a homeless person is arrested 3 times for not being in the tented area and living somewhere else, an airfare ticket will be purchased, and they can be another states problem no excuses and being arrested 3 times for any crime you are gone . Think about it you will behave if you know state will permanently remove you to another state.

    It's one thing to occupy our streets and walkways. Most people will tolerate and even help the homeless. But when there's piles of trash, slop, graffiti, and waste all around? That has to go! And these unfortunate folks are doing this to bus stops, parks, abandoned buildings, etc. How much more does the public have to endure?

    • @durshi01

      Try and walk past Kokua Market that just recently closed. Careful you may pass out, the sidewalk is dirty and stained... Going for a walk isn't what it used to be. Now I'm only talking in the past few years. It's getting worse and worse. Then the police come by move them all out so they all go into the neighborhoods and camp out for a few days then move right back. What is this purpose? Wasting our tax dollars and the officers time doing this practice. It's just a revolving cycle. What else can be done? They deny any help unless you give them money and only money.

      Not just there, every bridge has camps. Some are huge and the steams all lead to the ocean. Super dirty water. I guess it is all filtered out by the fish and crabs and stuff before the floaty's get to the Ala Wai. I still think that the water is really dirty... could be why those plants thrive so much in the streams and are all over grown. Good thing we haven't had a really big storm. I guess it is good since it catches all the rubbish. Just look at the stream by Kaimuki High School. ohhh. hopefully they don't have any school projects in that stream. hmmmmmm....

    In Japan, footage of homeless people in Hawaii is never shown. For the travel and airline industries, travel to Hawaii and routes to Hawaii are very profitable, so Tokyo-based TV stations are highly loyal to travel and airline industries.

    Gotta remember that there are no restrooms for them to utilize. It all goes into the stream, then down to the Ala Wai, Ala Moana Bowls, Ala Moana. Sure it gets diluted but still get levels I bet. What are the levels at each of these streams? Bacteria that is... I wonder if more people get sick at Bowls compared to other surf sites. Watch the natural currents everyone. Stay away from those areas. But yeah, no bathrooms only one place to go. Unless it is all going into the C&C trash bins; which are then combed through by someone. hmmmmm where does it all go? That would be a really good story... For real!!!
