My theory is that the bombastic music in the pv is just misdirection, a kinda lie. Like how lyney was explaining how magic is how you misdirect people and make them believe a lie with their own lies. In that sense, the bombastic flair of the music can be compared to a high-society lie. Kinda like when playing jazz vintage music at the end of the world. Its ironic in that sense that magic and lies are associated with a nation of justice---justice which is true, direct, and pure. When the Fontaine theme comes in, its Arlecchino telling the audience the truth of magic and its false devices. In that sense, the Fontaine main theme represents a sinister, scary, and hidden truth that is too dangerous to know. In another sense, the Fontaine theme is like the shattering of immersion---as if you're not supposed to know that everything you've seen and heard was all a lie.
My dumbass thought that part was just the generic fatui theme and I was thinking "hm wonder when they're gonna kick out that one theme from Travail" Only listening to this vid did I make the connection. If that theme is somehow actually just Arlecchinos theme, then god damn must she be pulling a lot of strings in that nation

this trailer feels so original, like, i looooooooooooove the musical elements that are kinda familiar (mainstream), but hoyo always gives a twist to their directions and I cannot EXPRESS how big of an effort this twist could lead to. they always go the lengths to achieve extra results. the depth is very much enjoyed
