I just want to say how much I appreciate these videos. You make my life so much better.
For rerolling in combat, you reroll however many dice you want. The extra letters are just extra chances. Each reroll the player can determine how many dice to roll. This is in the Rules Reference Pg8 under "Fight - #2 Reroll Dice"
Just found this channel. This is an awesome resource. I especially appreciate the game recommendations at the end.
Awesome review and you managed to talk about the key aspects of playing the game rather then the setup so I liked that a lot. Also I 100% agree with you on the point system and winning aspects with other players. Also some of the objectives seem very confusing in a competitive scenario for example, Far Harbor. So far I only play this solo and love every moment of it. FF games did a good job with this one.
I think its a better solo game than competitive for sure.
wow. Really like this turbo option on boardgames. Subbed!
New co-op mode announced with new upgrade pack Atomic Bonds!
How the game should have come out imho. I moved on my copy last year
Solid review. I felt similarly on the lack of content. While the New California expansion helped to rectify that issue, the added cost won't be worth it for everyone.
Awesome looking game! Fantastic summary. Now, if some game developer could make a Wasteland board game, that would be epic! “Your Life Has Ended in The Wasteland”.
Thank you for the review, I think it can be very helpful for someone that wants to purchase the game. The game can be enjoyable and understandable for people that know the Fallout universe. If you are not familiar with these settings, better don't go there, because most probably you are going to struggle with it. Go grab one of the video games first and then go for the board game ;)
Nice review dude, your opinions line up pretty closely with what we covered in our review. Good job on the vid, and best of luck with your channel.
Fallout, fantastic depiction of the setting or a bit of a thin game. What's your thoughts on this one?
This game is superb with the coop Atomic Bonds expansion.
Great review Jarrod! I think I'll stick with Fallout Shelter. Thx!
Step 1: buy it
Step 2: throw the rulebook in the trash and use a modified dnd3.5e ruleset system
Step 3: elevate your game with the minis and terrain
you're not thinking of Fallout: Wasteland warfare instead are you?
@@3MBG oh i forgot about that but i wish they were cheaper
So should I buy it? I have friends that we would like to play. But. Is it good?
I personally didn't enjoy it a huge amount. I go into that in more detail in my video "ten games i got rid of in 2018".
Your groups millage may vary though
I really wish the made a fallout 1 and 2 version of the board game, 4 is great and all but still :(.great video btw :D
Yeah, i think that's all license stuff. Like Bethesda can use stuff from F1 and 2 as inspiration, but don't own them?
yea that's a good point, I never even thought about that.
Don't take it as total truth not, that's me guessing around why. But it could also be that Bethesda just wants us to forget about 1 and 2 and focus on 3 and 4 just as easily.
I always thought that's how most franchises function. it's sad because the old meant a lot to some people and the new feels like an insult a lot of the times. I'm glad I'm not alone on the matter. Here's to hoping its not forgotten in the future.
I love the fallout games, all of them except 76 which i haven't played. Weirdly, the most fallout fallout game ive played lately was Wastelands 2. If you are a fan of 1 and 2, definitely check it out.
Is this most like the new Fallout games, or most like the old ones?
Setting wise, its Bethesda fallout only, so Fallout 3 and 4
3 Minute Board Games I see! Thanks!
Do you feel that the two expansions have address your concerns expressed in the video?
No idea, as I've never played them. They came out WAY after i wrote and released this. But I understand that many folks had similar reservations about the game, so perhaps FFG listened. I'm personally not a fan of holding on to games i don't like, hoping the expansion will later fix it.
How often does it crash ?
Lol, brutal.
oh man i wish they made a fallou game based on the good games not fallout 4
Cool, then you would have had a terrible flawed game about a game you like. That's not the win you think it is.
So instead of THIS game for android & ios , we got that shitty Barbie & Ken dressup game called Fallout Shelter....
fallout shelter isnt that bad. also, i heard they were working on a new mobile game. but after fo76 failed idk what their current plans are...
@@kidrobot., I'm glad someone enjoyed it
Why don’t you just play the video game instead of the board game? Fallout four is fucking dope
Because they offer very different experiences? I have 555 hours on steam for Fallout 4, but i'd also play the board game because its something different.
