The one change I hope they make if they do a robot wars line is add a more definitive win state. The most obvious one they could do is add a pit, but also would be cool to have some way to demobilise the robots (perhaps as an optional setting?)

can't wait to get these, and out of curiosity, would you recommend firing Beta's hammer, then spin around to knock off the side panels or basically always use it as an axe?
iamdb1990 You can pretty much do both, but a good hit from Betas hammer will knock the panels off.

Great review :) purchased these after finding Hexbug decided on a limited run for UK customers of their website (can't get them anywhere else) but then I'll bet you'll be reviewing the new Hypershock & Bronco models plus Build Your Own Bot range when you get hold of them ;) mind the missus was delighted when I told her I'd bought Beta :p thank you again for your insightful reviews
thommobris I got the build your own box it’s very cool it has the bronco weapon and hammer but there are many things to customize it there’s also a spinning disc and a spinning drum with many things to customize

I'm planing on getting all 4 robots and the arena for Christmas because I wasn't as much as a Robot Wars or Battlebots fan as I was last year. I'm slightly disappointed that they have yet to release Bronco's RC toy yet even though it was meant to be released with Tombstone and Witch Doctor.
There's a Bronco RC coming from Tech4Kids.

Made by the same team so it's not really a surprise. John Reid has pretty much always worked with axe robots.
I'm looking forward to buying these two. I'm also gonna have to buy another Tombstone and Witch Doctor since they kinda got damaged at Motorama lol

layout 123 Sorry to hear that man, no issues with mine at all so far (and I've been pretty rough with them). Got the Clutch and Clash from America.
You should try Hexbug's customer service. They're bound to help you out. Visit their facebook page. Haven't had any issues with my RC Witch Doctor and Tombstone (apart from a brief issue getting Wtich Doctor to work but that turned out to be a plastic tab inside the remote that seemingly broke off and wasn't visible outside the remote. I took that out and the toy worked fine)

I just recently got these, and I found out Beta CAN self-right, no matter what position the hammer is in. It could just be down to the quality of the spring.

Votesaxon07 Reviews, I'd like what I call "Flashback lines". Toy lines that focus on the original Battlebots. Who wouldn't want a modern RC of Biohazard. they also should make "Evolution sets of the push Strikes. Special collector set containing every robot made by one team; Like Bronco.

it was because they were the two most hyped robots aside from tombstone and bronco which are already toys
I would love an rc Warhead to go with this line but I can't see it happening for all the moving parts.
if it was made then its only moving parts would be the spinner and the wheels or it would be connected to the drive
They ARE rivals as a whole though.

Beta... kinda sucks... The panels need to have more magnets. They fall off super easily, and whenever we have a competition at my house, Beta is always picked last.
Robot wars is better
Robot wars SUCKS!!! I’ve seen both and battlebots is way better.
