I just ordered the Siser Romeo largely because of the matless cutting and large print and cut area. I'm coming over from years with using Cricut machines. I loved that you were honest about the frustrations and showing us what the problem was and how to fix it. Last night I downloaded the software for Romeo and was playing around with it with an open mind. Some things annoyed me like that curve text is part of the monthly subscription but it also gave me trying to figure out a way around the annoyance which is something I mostly enjoy when no one is bothering me. :) Keep up the good work!
Oooh I’m excited for you! You’re gonna LOVE the machine. You’ll get used to it and then your Cricut will be so jealous and collecting dust. It is def different than Cricut but for the better. I’m happy to hear you liked the tutorial. I’ve got some Leonardo ones on my page now and more coming. Stickers are actually airing tomorrow.
I just ordered the Siser Romeo so I really appreciate your honesty about the learning curve. I have been overdosing on videos like yours to help me level up from Cricut & Silhouette. Thanks much!
Thanks for watching! I think once you get the hang of it you’re gonna LOVE Romeo! I’m getting ready to add more tutorials to my page for the software so hopefully they will help you as well. Happy crafting!
Oh dear! As someone who HAS used the commercial type machines, I winced when I saw that blade sticking out! Glad you are giving Juliet a chance. As you say, it is a learning curve - but it really isn't hard. You can import SVGs to use, so you can always design in other software and import too. The freedom to use different mats, and later, I hope, different tools, is great.
Lol, I bet you winced 🤣. I’m loving learning and I just think she’s amazing. I’m also looking forward to what’s in the future of the software and tools.
I like the cardboard box you made for your Loctite spray. I do lots of 3D printing, and I use Aquanet hair spray because it has a specific chemical that allows the plastic to better stick to the build plate. I have it wired so Alexa turns on a fan and blows the hairspray out of the window. Thanks for your awesome videos! I'm a new fan! -Michael :)
Madame, thank you - I will buy a Siser. I want it for cutting very detailed airbrush stecils (frisket, parafilm etc) and for thin cardboard. Greetings from Switzerland.
A few questions... Can the offset be added from the canvas rather than during the upload/ opening of a file? 2) is it possible to kiss cut, die cut, and easy peel cut stickers? 3) is there a warranty? 4) how is the customer service? 5) what features do you wish it had/miss? 6) lastly, is it possible to export files to use with other cutting machines? That's one of the reasons I like the silhouette software, I can create a project and export it in other formats.
HI there Andrea, 1. Yes the offset can be applied in the canvas. It opens up the offset window but you don't have to do when you import the file. 2. yes it is 3. I believe there is a 1 year warranty 4. i think the customer service and the company is great. There is also a Siser support group on FB you can join 5. I wish it could cut a wider range of materials 6. There are some changes coming that I think you will be happy about. They will be announced via a live by siser north america on July 11th at 12CST Let me know if you have any other questions. I think you will really like this machine. I LOVE it!
@@1crafter2another I could share earlier but they announced at the life today that you will be able to export files!!! All the details about the PRO version will be revealed on Friday at noonEST. There’s some really great stuff!
@@TheCraftyBrick I watched the repost of the live. Sounds like Siser has some pretty good upgrades coming. I'm looking forward to the full reveal Friday!
Credit card thickness or less is usually ideal for most cutters. I use a commercial cutter but was thinking about getting the Juliet as a back up and for hats since I use flock and brick for hats a lot I like the fact you can use their siser htv presets. But I really wish it was 15” since that’s mostly what I buy. I may wait for the Romeo.
OMG. THANK YOU FOR THIS REVIEW. I’m looking to buy a wide format cutter. Can you please tell me the overall cutting area. What size was that giraffe. This video has really helped!!!
What machine do you recommend for first Tim user. I’m wanting to create police officers badge out of metal or aluminum for a retiring party. Is this something I need to buy for this project? Or is there a one tool I can use
hello, I was wondering if you can do a mini tutorial on basic stuff like Slice and cut, or switch an image from print and cut to basic cut as Cricut does. I love my Juliet machine I just wish there was a way to learn the software better there are not many tutorials so i can't really do anything other than cut vinyl and htv lol help, please!!!
Thank you! Yes you def can do it! Just give it a little time. Yes I have. I had to do some test cuts and get the setting right but then I saved it in the cut settings and now it cuts perfectly.
@@TheCraftyBrick ok I bit the bullet and bought it. After 2 weeks of sitting in the box, thanks to your video, I've been able to set her up and do a few test cuts with no issue. I'm super excited to start using my new machine! 🤗😁
Is there an option where you Can you scan the mat with the design to see wether if it’s going to fit on the vinyl that we took(a small piece of vinyl rather than the whole sheet) for example like with the brother scan n cut machine where there is a scanning the mat option.
Can you show me how to print and cut on the mat. I got how to print, but when putting the image on the mat. The image is not cutting the image exactly. Either too far or too low from the print image.
You can use any vinyl you want with Romeo and Juliet. There are no restrictions. Cricut is the one that you have to use their brand vinyl to use the matless features. You can do matless cutting with any brand with Siser
Well that's good to know bc another video I watched is givign out the wrong info saying you can't. No I can use any vinyl on the mat too right? TY@@TheCraftyBrick
Glad I could help. You will not be disappointed with either machine. It is still my go to machine all the time😁. I would love to know what you think after you get it.
Under a serious dilemma here folks. My maker 3 purchased less than a week ago makes a weird crackle sound when opening and closing lid. Also mat curls a bit on edges. Only used once doing stickers. Apparently a known issue with Maker 3. Well, Siser Juliet is ln sale for $399.99 at Michaels. They will let me exchange! Anyone have Juliet? I was hestitant with the machine because of many software problems being new. HELP… Should I get Juliet instead?
After having her for about 7 months. I love my Juliet! Although there’s a learning curve for sure if you’re used to Cricut. I design most of my stuff in silhouette design studio and import to Leonardo. Although the software is continuing to get better.
